2 Hot short stories in one, pretty darn good ;D

The story of funny fat Cat and jock Ramon. I do like transformation storylines but this one didn’t quite do it for me. I felt a bit sad that Cat changed herself because if all the negative comments she got about her weight. Whilst i’m sure it’s true to real life, it just felt like a negative reason for doing it.
Then the story goes on about how supermodel hot she is. Eye roll. I know she tries to send out positive messages about being happy with your body but the end result was that she changed her body image in order to conform to everyone around her and gain approval. I’m not trying to be right on here. I just prefer stories about slightly imperfect people getting hot guys. You know, gives a girl hope!
Ramon is sweet but he should have stood up for Cat from the beginning. I found it hard to forgive his earlier actions. Why had he felt like he had to talk shot about her? It just didn’t sit well.
The outrageous party felt OTT. The fact Cat was so green felt off. She must have been to plenty of party’s like this on her career path. And I didn’t like how she just left her friend Lindsey there when she was vulnerable.
Too many things missing: Cat’s aforementioned wit? contraceptives? Actual football? Witty banter? Friends?

I liked the idea of this book. The insecurity of high school, the second chance years after the H made that stupid comment that the h overhears. I liked that they both went on with their lives and made something of themselves. What I did not like was the fact that Cat only felt worthy when she lost so much weight and became what she thought others would like. I would've had more respect for her if she either became a plus size model or changed because she wanted too not because of everyone else. And I didn't like the fact that Ramon was so obsessed with her new skinny super exercised body. I got the feeling that if she hasn't lost the weight he would not have gave her a second glance let alone a second chance!

Not the best book i have read by Stephanie Brother but the story did have potential

yup, that shower was needed after i was done reading about cat and ramon. as a teen cat packed a bit more weight. in hopes of getting into shape she asked ramon, her stephbrother to help her train, which he did. but when she walks in on him at school and hears what he has to stay about her and her figure she looses it. she's determined to get in shape and forget all about ramon!
6 years later and there isn't a trace left of "fat cat" , she's now one of the hottest models around and is wanted left right and center.
when ramon sees her on television he can't belief his eyes. his stepsister turned into a real looker, noth that she had to change for him, he liked her just the way she was. going back on memory lane he knows he hurt her and he really wants to apologize to her but he doesn't really know how.
when they run into each other at a nightclub ramon grabs his chance to get back in touch.
what follows is a whirlwind of emotions and trips down memory lane as both youngsters come to terms what they feel or don't feel for each other. they get up close and personal to work out their differences.
i wonder who needed the shower more, them or me? what a heated and naughty read this was. i'm glad they could work things out one way or another! lovely read and wouldn't mind rereading it at any time!

Inspiring and good short story with bonus book
This review is only for personal, bonus book has a review under its title. I love Stephen's writing style. This story is very up lifting. Starts with high school students who return to each other later in life. I would read again .
Overview. Cat was known as the fat funny girl. Even when she tries to better herself, everyone only sees her as fat Cat except Ramon. Ramon is the hot football kid in school. When he offers to train Cat in private at his gym, she takes him up on it in exchange for helping him with math. The two different envelope a bond. That is until they watch their parents walk in and say they are getting married. They didn't know that their parent even knew each other. This makes Ramon mad and he says a few mean things to a friend about fat Cat and Cat over hears. This drives Cat into a nutritionist in France. She comes back a few years later very skinny and on the cover of sports illustrated swimsuit addition and the next top model. Ramon and Cat meet at celebrity party before his NFL draft. Both decide to see where this could go.

Cat Johnson (Funny Fat Cat) had been the center of everyone's attention due to her overweight and it lead to pranks, talks and bullying while in school. This book touches on some great topics and encompasses love and true devotion between two people, who is truly attracted to each other yet afraid of the off-limits guidelines. Ramon Nicholas is the big shot high school quarterback awaiting to be drafted but assist with the other kids insulting Cat (peer pressure). The story reflect how the two become step-siblings due to marriage and Cat moves away. Several years later, Cat looses all her weight and become a famous super model on SI. Ramon become a famous quarterback and sees the new Cat Johnson on TV. Don't you just love it when the writer writes amazing supporting characters to not only suck us in to the story, but to truly bring out the personalities in the main characters making you feel like you can relate. This is definitely one of those story and a must read!

This was an interesting read. The style didn't always flow as I prefer, but the plotline itself was fun. We start with new-ish model Cat and a major Sports Illustrated show. She was "Fat Cat" in high school and after much taunting, ended up humiliated by her personal trainer...
....her stepbrother.
I have to say -- I love when I get that "heart clench" feeling in a book. Generally it's at the end when the half of the couple that made the major boo-boo apologizes and confesses his/her undying love.
That major heart clench moment was in the first few pages.
Ramon made mistakes as a teen, and seeing how far Cat has come since he saw her last... I absolutely adored watching him work to win Cat's affections -- but equally, I loved that Cat simply didn't roll over and say 'pet me'.
Altogether, a fun read! I just didn't connect as well as I would have liked.

This book is a stepbrother romance mixed with a sports romance. Our H is Ramon, a former Heisman Trophy winner now entering the NFL Draft. Our h is Cat Johnson, formerly known as Funny Fat Cat.
Cat was the recipient of bullying back in high school. She was the fat funny girl. Cat and Ramon, the star QB, end up as step siblings. Cat ask Ramon to help her get in better shape. He agrees to help her get healthier but ends up really liking spending time with her. When Cat hears Ramon being a typical high school jock, she is deeply hurt. She ends up moving away to get in shape.
6 years later, Ramon is awaiting the NFL Draft and Cat is a famous Sports Illustrated model. What happens when these 2 meet again? This wasn't my favorite book I have read by this author, I really didn't connect with the main characters as much as her other books but I still enjoyed it.

A hot, sexy feel-good story of Ramon and Cat. They met in high school and made some memories together, some good, some not. In fact, the last time they interacted, Ramon hurt and angered Cat so much it changed the direction of her life. Their lives split apart for years while each focused on their own personal goals. Ramon was dedicated to the pathway of becoming an NFL football star. After several years, their paths crossed again and the reader will be in "romance book heaven". Beautiful story of second chances, of winning life's goals and embracing one's heart's desire. I was fortunate to experience this joy by the gifting from the author of this book in exchange for an honest review. Five stars.

Ramon and Cat are great together
What I like about this book is how easy and open (and funny) Ramon and Cat are with each other, especially in the flashbacks. I love the joking and conversations and how they are so comfortable together. They also really heat up the sheets—and a rooftop.
You can tell that Ramon truly likes Cat—not just wants in her pants once she exercises her way onto the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. Despite how their friendship shattered back in high school, it’s obvious that he wasn’t into just because she’s now a famous model.
Love the epilogue. I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I love second chances, and I really enjoyed this book. The part that happened in high school, is unfortunately very realistic. Ramon is the star quarterback, and he seems to like Cat a lot, but in front of his friends, he plays right along with calling her Fat Cat like everyone else does. I really like though how that made her do something about it, and four years later she is a popular model. Way to go Cat! Then as Ramon is hoping to be drafted into the NFL, they meet again. This time around, it is really sweet and sizzling hot at the same time. I loved this sweet, hot combination. I received this book from the author in return for an honest review.

What a story!! Hot mess, Hot sex, But ALL GOOD!!! I was being told and expected hot and steamy romance happening in the book, did not see the hot mess coming. But, that's what made the whole story so interesting and hard to put down. Well done!

Cat was a sweet kind funny girl pretty but over weight. Ramon was the star quarterback the golden boy with a sweet heart. Cat looses all her weight and become a famous super model. Ramon become a famous quarterback and sees the new Cat Johnson on TV. Man was this a steamy read. I loved the story line and plot. I received a copy of this story in exchange for an honest review.

Read this book with my Amazon Unlimited membership and had a hard time with all the errors in grammar, missing & misused words. The story jumped a bit without a real solid story progression in my opinion.

I received an ARC of this novel.
The storyline was interesting and sort of motivational. I didn't get the connection with Cat & Ramon, but I was still able to enjoy the book.
I enjoyed the bonus read a lot, though.

This was quite an unexpectedly engrossing story that kept my attention way into the night because I had to read just one more page! Sexy and scintillating and will definitely read more from Ms. Brother!!

Loved
I loved it so much it was so hot hot hot. I loved the characters so much they had me laughing so much. The bonus book was so great too. So it was great having 2 books in one that were both so good.
