Okay so I'm feeling this book it had a lot of emotions Shane and Diamond I loved. His ex was certifiable Cray Cray! And his sister Mindy funny. I like how Diamond kept Shane in check. Can't wait for the next book! Xyla you did it again!
Author did a great job writing a romance story where no one had to compromise themselves or their strong held beliefs in the name of love. Strong characters, some storylines were left incomplete but it all pulled together in the end.
I read book two of this series first and each time Shane and Diamond were mentioned I knew I needed book one. Got it liked it and new leaving a review. That dang ex of Shane's was more than a piece of work. Going the extreme route she took was straight out if this world. I kinda understood where Diamond was coming from but thought she should have been told Shane her reasons. Anywho, looking forward to more of this series.
Cute book. My only issues were some inconsistencies with name spellings and POV. Shane seemed a little controlling, but some women like a man who won't accept "no" for an answer.
Shane Sinclair is a sexy Alpha who is a football hero who hates reporters. Diamond Reeves is a sexy reporter trying to make her mark in DC. Shane's dislike for reporters when one humiliates him when a tragedy strikes. Diamond is appalled when she sees first hand the pain inflicted. She knows pain that's why she left California. A chance encounter and a mini vacation bring these two together. After watching his world crumble, Shane needs a friend. Diamond decides she can be his friend. However, their worlds collide and a psycho tries her best to ruin both their lives..
Under Further Review is an excellent start to this series! I absolutely loved everything about this book. This is a sweet romance between a couple that both have their separate issues. The storyline line is awesome and very believable. There is nothing like reading a book that has you sucked in from the very first chapter! The only complaint I have is that it had to end. I am so looking forward to the next installment in the series.
I love this writer's work the more you read the better she gets and the better the stories get and their plots. This was a very entertaining story from the word go and I love the we get a alpha male who is so approachable. The chemistry between characters was so good that you enjoy reading about them as well as their interaction with the main characters.Overall a really good job of writing and so very entertaining.
This book is the first in the series about professional sports personnel. I enjoyed Diamond and Shane's story. The characters were fully developed and I was totally invested in their individual trials. I am looking forward to the other stories in the series.
This was an okay read for me. I didn't really like Diamond or Shane and neither of them drew me in. Hopefully I will be able to connect with the characters in the next story.
Shane and Diamond each had their past to contend with and it created problems. Luckily, they started off getting to know each other to establish a foundation. They mutually were what the other needed but could not see past their issues. Sometimes, love comes in all forms and fashion. We all have to be open to the possibility. We all have to learn to compromise and have an open line of communication (see how far it got Shane and Diamond). Diamond put her discomfort on a back burner to be that strong support for Shane. Shane confronted one of his nemesis to help Diamond. Xyla delivered a great story!
