This was another beautiful written book by Trinty Blacio. We meet Jess that has put her life on hold for her children and the father of her children. When Jess heads to Las Vegas for a few days of fun with her friends and hopefully a book deal in the bag. Jess meets Maverick after some members of the dance troupe hit on her as a bet. Maverick has his own skeletons that make him not get to close to another person. Slowly we see Jess come out of her shell and become her own person. All the way there are some twist and turns that will keep you hook to the pages until the end. We see what true love comes in. Will Jess choose her old life our will she chooses who she is meant to be? This was a beautiful journey of the love of family and what they will do to protect it. Highly recommend this book

I enjoyed this story from Ms. Blacio. Jess is a real woman with real problems. And just as she is deciding what changes to make, fate throws her an unexpected curve. She finds herself attracted to someone she isn't married to. What should she do? And oh what a hottie Maverick is. He isn't looking for Jess but he will do whatever is necessary to keep her once he has found her. Even if he must protect her from the man that was supposed to cherish her. I loved how real this story felt even with its paranormal aspects. Jess and Maverick are two strong characters navigating murky waters. How far should Maverick push? Can Jess protect her family and find passion? You wanted them to succeed together and I enjoyed their journey both emotional and physically to reach a future together. Ms. Blacio gives us a nice quick read and she does it with a light hand even as she touches upon difficult issues. This story was well worth your time.

Maverick and his pack of dancers are performing at the convention. Plus the conference is being held at this hotel. So when Maverick over hears one of his dancers trying to pick up Jess. He comes to her rescue and takes an interest in her at once. Will Jess falls for Maverick's charm or has she been hurt so much that she will run away?
I really liked this book. I could not put it down once I started reading it. Trinity has become one of my favorite authors. The flow of the story was great. The characters were well developed. The sex scenes left you needing a cold shower. I recommend this book and author to others.

Her unexpected mates
Jess is unhappily married woman with two children and she is also a romance writer and goes to Vegas for a conference. Maverick is Alpha of his pack and owns and runs the hotel Jess is staying at. When his pack mates they always are a triad and his other is his best friend and second Bran. He finds one of his pack mates playing a game with one of the women attending the conference and that woman is Jess. He ends up asking her to join him for dinner after telling off the men. For some reason he wants to spend more time with her but then manages to make her run away. Follow the characters and enjoy how this romance between the Alpha leopard shifter and this human woman. I would highly recommend this book to all who love great shifter stories.

Jess was in a heartless marriage. She was biding her time lying in wait until her son graduated from high school, but everything is about to be turned on its axis when she goes to Las Vegas for a writer's convention. She will meet and connect with Maverick whose heart has also been turned upside down but these two are drawn to each other and his cat knows that Jess is their mate. Will Maverick change Jess mind about relationships and will they get a chance to have a happily ever after?

I am pretty sure I received a copy of this book from Netgalley...but when I search for it, I cannot find it anywhere.....
I really enjoyed the start of this series. It was interesting and original. I did get a little confused at the beginning as there were a lot of names that seemed to change later, but this wasn't the case. It appeared that when a new friend came into the picture at this conference, that is when you met that particular person, however, it would jump back and forth so it was sometimes hard to follow.
This story is very fast paced, as usual. Other than the many friends issue, it is fairly easy to keep up. Also as usual, an editor is needed, but the story was still great and fun to read. I found it interesting that Jess felt kind of like the author a little bit.
I really fell in love with Maverick. I pictured him as this distinguished older gentleman.
I really liked the turn of events the story had. There were so many things going on all at once, you felt bad for everyone because it was like they could not get a break!! When I finished this book, I immediately wanted book 2 in the series. I want to know what happens, and who is this mysterious Derek? I would have liked some more info on him and I am not sure why did Jess never question that?! As much as she questioned EVERYTHING in the story, she didn't question who this mysterious man out to get her, who POISONED her and just accepted it?? Oh well...it was still enjoyable. I wish there were more sex scenes, because Trinity Blacio writes some pretty amazing scenes, and this book did not have many.
