Red Hot 2 is one of those stories that grabs you fast and refuses to let go. It’s packed with drama, romance, and enough twists to keep you alert, and it delivers that addictive “just one more chapter” pull from start to finish. Kate Fargo knows exactly how to blend tension with heart, and it shows on every page.
Sandal Steeves is supposed to be on a department‑mandated vacation in Mexico, but the man barely steps off the plane before chaos erupts. Newly minted Embassy agent Emily Patrick is sent to bring him home, but the mission spirals into something far more dangerous — and far more intimate — than either of them expected. They’re both used to being the hero, both used to taking charge, and watching them try to survive and navigate their chemistry is half the fun.

THE ENEMY OF MY ENEMY IS MY FRIEND
Book 2 will keep the story in an action-packed life and death suspense, finding the safe house and various outbuildings leaves a feeling of uncertainty. What kind of safe house have they been lead to? Recon during daylight gives Emily and Dal a better feel for the land, but the barn and its various rooms throw up red flags. Not everyone is on the up and up, and it has them running for their lives In the middle of the night again seeking another way to try and get back to the USA. The plot is full of intense suspense and adventure, with Emily and Dal having to be resourceful. The cartel is after them, but who all is in the cartel’s deep and dirty pockets? Once again, just when you need to know answers, Ms. Fargo has left you screaming, NO, don’t stop there. I can’t wait for book 3 and what has happened now with Emily and Dal. Disclosure: I received an e-copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts, opinions, and ratings are my own.

Red Hot 2 by kate Fargo
Sandal Steeves is on vacations in Mexico. While waiting for his buddy, Sandal is a witness to a car accident and he runs to the burning car to try to rescue the victims. He ends up in the hospital with flash burns.
Emily Patrick's first day on the job for the American Embassy and she is sent to Mexico to bring back an American that is in the hospital due to an accident. When she gets there she finds that Sandal might be in danger and she needs to get him to a safe place. Can they get themselves to a safe place before trouble finds them? Is there any one they can trust after they discover the betrayal.
This well written story captivated me right from the first page. The more you read, the more you want to know about these intriguing characters. The dialogue between Sandal and Emily at the hospital and the motel is hilarious. I can't wait for the next book.

Part 2 of 3 or 4???
So it's possible that Emily has a pretty horrific backstory... and maybe Dal does too. But that's overshadowed by the fact that they're running from a Cartel to a safehouse that also looks like a CIA torture chamber or worse. So Emily's old family friend Jack, who is now her boss, may not be who he says he is.
What is heating up in just a few hours of being together is the relationship between these two. Just some kissing and petting, but let's hope it gets hotter in Book 3... although I'm not sure what Dal's friend Kris is all about...

They both have horrible choices in friends. Who ain't trying to kill them? I hope her daddy helps them out or I don't see this having a happy ending.

Em and Dal's story continues with more suspense. Kept me on the edge of my seat and flipping pages like a mad man! You will want to read this series!
