After reading 1cm+ by Eun Ju Kim, I was looking for a somewhat similar book to read: A book that is straightforward, but still heavy in terms of the contemplation it arises. Through my friend’s recommendation, I stumbled onto this book.

The book, as suggested by the title, talks about one day, just any day.In a day so many thoughts cross our mind, from worries about the future, to the regrets of the past, to fantasizing about the future. The train of thoughts that go through our mind everyday is very massive, and I presume that like me, a lot of people’s train of thoughts are filled with worries.

This book proves to you why you shouldn’t worry, or regret, or fantasize. It talks about how different your day could be depending on what kind of thoughts pass through. It is not a novel, but an accumulation of short quotes that make you think.

The book is divided up into a total of four sections depending on season and has appropriate groups of thoughts for each season. For spring, it talks about chances and changes, for summer it talks about passion, for autumn it talks about loneliness, and for winter it talks about hope.

I thought that the author organized the book in such fashion because, like seasons, our life goes through stages and those stages are repeated. By forming certain thoughts into groups, it forms a connection between each quote, making the flow of the book and quote flawless.

I personally thought that each of the quotes in the book were really different and thought provoking in its own way, which was why I enjoyed the book so much. If you are looking for a book that is similar to 1cm+, a book that allows you to think. I definitely suggest giving this book a try, but I personally do like 1cm+ compared to this book, just because I feel like the illustrations on 1cm+ were more attention grabbing, and thought provoking.
