Bob Barker was a child of the depression who turned his life into an inspiration. With a positive spirit, a strong work ethic, an entrepreneurial bent, and the help of his wife, Pat, Bob built a back-room slush machine business into the world s largest supplier to detention facilities. The Bob Barker Company has been successful because it reflects the values of its innovation and perseverance to develop needed products, cooperation and mutual respect to facilitate a well-oiled company, customer service and a desire for excellence that make clients feel valued and keep them coming back. The stories Bob tells in this book are as much about family as about business, as much about spirit as about profit. Readers who look over Bob s shoulder as he reflects on his remarkable life will find a full measure of wisdom in matters of business. More importantly, however, they may find Bob s passionate and positive spirit to be catching, and good for the soul.

This was a great read chock full of wit and wisdom, both of which Bob is known for. There is much to be gleaned from this book by a man who has shown that it can be done if you are willing to work for it. I highly recommend this book and wish I had known a lot of this when I was younger!
