Bestselling author Sherry Ewing presents this special edition novel combining Katherine and Riorden’s complete story from For All of Ever and Only For You in Hearts Across The Knights of Berwyck, A Quest Through Time Novel (Books One & Two).

Sometimes all you need is to just believe…

For All of Katherine Wakefield has dreamed and written of her knight in shining armor all her life until she and her three closest friends take a vacation to England. Yet, how could they have known they’d find themselves thrown back more than eight hundred years into the past? Riorden de Deveraux travels to Bamburgh answering the summons of King Henry. But nothing prepares him for the beautiful vision of a strangely clad ghost who first appears in his chamber. Centuries are keeping them apart until Time gives them a chance at finding love. Will the past of one consume what their future may hold, or will Time take the decision from them and hurdle Katherine forward to where she truly belongs?

Only For Katherine de Deveraux has it all but settling into her duties at Warkworth Castle is not easy & downright dangerous to her well-being. Consumed with memories of his father, Riorden must deal with his sire’s widow. Yet how could he know how far Marguerite will go to have the life she feels they were meant to live? Torn apart, Time becomes their true enemy while Marguerite continues her ploy to keep Riorden at her side. With all hope lost, will Katherine & Riorden find a way to save their marriage?

Although Sherry’s book can be read as a stand-alone, there is a particular order to them as characters are introduced. They are as

If My Heart Could See You (a medieval romance)
Hearts Across Time (or For All of Ever & Only For You sold individually) a medieval/time travel romance
A Knight To Call My Own (a medieval romance)

This is a love story that expands time. Katherine lives in the present time. Her and her group of best friends always dream about finding their knight in shining armor. They have all just about giving up on ever finding him. Katherine has been having dreams about a knight from back in the 1100's. Her friends all decide to take a trip to England to visit an old castle. While she is here, the dreams start turning into visions. Then before she knows it, her and all her friends find themselves in sent back in time and she is face to face with her knight, Riorden.

I enjoyed this book. It was a really cute love story. The group of friends bring humor and more depth to the story. Everyone finds their "one". Katherine and Riorden's does come easy, they have to deal with betrayal, jealously and heartache. I would recommend this book for everyone, especially if you enjoy historical romances.

Hearts Across Time by Sherry Ewing is a love story unlike any other. How far would you go to be with the one you loved? Would you cross the sea? Climb a mountain? How about go back in time? That’s exactly what Katherine did and she has never looked back…..

Can I say how amazeballs these books are? I don’t think I have the words to give these books a proper review but I’m still going to try! Right from the beginning, I was pulled into the story. I may have neglected mom/wife duties for a couple of days but I didn’t want to put this book down! The author did an amazing job in transporting you into a different time. Katherine and her besties are some amazing women. Then you’re introduced to Riorden. Oh be still my heart! This book definitely brings out the feels. I felt so many emotions while reading. I smiled, cried, laughed, and cried some more. At one point I felt my heart being ripped out. I loved every minute of it! If you’re a fan of historical romance or romance in general, you need to read these books! You won’t be sorry!! I give this 5 stars!!

Fantastic time travel romances

I'm glad I got these two books as a set. The first book certainly tells a remarkable story of Katherine and Riorder. It is a beautiful story of two people who've dreamed of each other for years while they lived centuries apart. We meet 4 friends who are so close they call each other sis. Book 2 continues with the story with some very unusual characters and situations. I thoroughly enjoyed both books and recommend them for anyone who might fantasize about that "Knight in Shining Armor ".

Hearts Across Time is my first book by Sherry Ewing and it festures the love journey between Katherine and Riorden. I was pleasantly amazed at how much I enjoyed this book so much. I normally find these books pretty boring but I was really intrigued by this story because it offered a different plot and I love different. Heart Across Time totally surprised me because it offered a story that was both exciting and had my eyes glued to the book. It was definitely a special feeling.

Heart Across Time is a historical romance with epic proportions. I am astounded that I really pushed my comfort zone to really read a historical romance even though I told myself countless times that I would never read one. Sometimes you got to push yourself. You might never know that you will find a book you enjoy like I did with this one. This book is a medieval tale which made me more excited because I love medieval tales. I happen to watch them a lot. This book reminded me of series and movies I used to watch like Merlin, Braveheart or even Game of Thrones with less killing lol. I truly was transported to the medieval times and I throughly enjoyed it a lot. Heart Across Time was truly a book about adventure, love and mostly importantly time travel. This book stretches the norm in literature fiction and I loved ot that it was no ordinary book. It was special and unique.

The writing was truly interesting. It was in character alright. I did have difficulty reading the medieval Englush but it made the book more special. Kind of reminds you Shakespear language. I was engrossed and truly captivated at how amazing the writing was. I mean at times one eould find it boring but to me it was interesting and so enchanting. I was mesmerised by it.

The characters in this book each had their own story. There were was a mixture of banter which made this book so striking. You have to fully enjoy this book. Thats why I am not saying what the book is about. The characters both so dynamic and different made this book so interesting. Some characters were funny, some made my lady bits sing lol and some characters made a significant pull to the story. I loved every single character in this book.

Overall, I loved this book because it made me understand that sometimes different is good. Heart Across Time is truly a book I will cherish.

As one can only dream, Hearts Across Time brings those dreams true!! Katherine is stuck in the current century with three of her friends, who dream of chivalrous men to win their heart. Katherine has had many dreams of a knight that will not leave her daily thoughts. That dream becomes a realty as Katherine is spun back to medieval times. She meets Riordan, a knight who was introduced in the If My Heart Could See You. This story is sweet, funny and will make you sigh as Katherine and Riordan find love and happiness. Cannot wait to read the third in the series. Sherry Ewing is a master at bringing a story to life and you will feel as if you were there. Great story!

Sherry Ewing is a new author to me, and after I finished book one and two of Hearts Across Time I know I will definitely read more from her.
I secretly love historical romances.
Knight in shining armor, kings and queens, you name it, but sadly I have been having the hardest time trying to find something that lift me off my feet. After reading this book I was astonished by how great it was.

When reading this book it felt like Game of Thrones meets Outlander.

It all begins with are heroine Katherine who has a gut feeling she doesn't belong in the world she lives in. She dreams of a man every night, Katherine knows he is real and she want's to find him.

This was an adventure of a lifetime, there is action, love, romance, and angst all in one package, and boy was it good.

Riorden and Katherine is what you call an extraordinary love story.

No matter what time frame, true love never dies.

Romance is my middle name and this book right here was sweet but not to sweet. It leaves you breathless and wanting more.

Highly Recommend.

This is not my usual genre but I am so glad I got to read this fabulous Sherry Ewing book!
The story captivated me from beginning to end and through the whole story I was pleading with the author not to rip Riorden and Katherine apart. Their story is so romantic (not sickly sweet). I truly felt the love they had for each other down to my bones! I wanted to wrap myself in a blanket, sit next to a huge open fire and lose myself in their world, in fact, I wanted to jump across time and space and hook up with my very own knight (not words I ever though would leave my lips).
I urge you to open the pages of this book and leap into this story, it was beautiful.

I realize this is a time travel historical but this part was nauseating to read. She's apologizing for not being a virgin to a man that is not a virgin. Where do these authors get this crap???

“You must first understand, times are so very different where I come from than they are here...so far into the past, Riorden,” Katherine said with a quivering voice. "You could say that our lack of morals make us a somewhat loose society.” She hung her head in embarrassment, trying to hold back the tears, which would surely give way at any moment. “It should have been yours,” Katherine said, so softly he had to lean in to hear what she was saying. “If I could change things, I would Riorden. You have to believe me.”

“Change what, Katherine?” he asked with a mixture of curiosity and concern.

“I wish I could...I wish I could give you...” she stammered with a crestfallen look and pleading eyes for him to understand what she was trying to say.

His eyes widened, as if at last he caught on to what she couldn’t somehow manage to say. He pulled her close and held her again as his hand stroked down her hair. “Are you, mayhap, trying to tell me you are not a virgin?”

“Yes.”

“I see.”

“I’m so sorry, Riorden. Please, don’t be angry with me,” she pleaded, trying to read his face.

“Virgins...I hear they are a bothersome lot, since they know nothing of what a man likes in his bed. ’Tis why I have never bothered being with them.”

“And just how many women have you been in bed with, my lord?” she asked, raising her brow.

“Enough to know you shall have no complaints when I have thoroughly pleased you,” he said huskily.

I've read a lot of time travel romances. I'm amazed when authors keep coming up with new twists for each one of them.
I'm going to try and Not add Spoilers here.
"*spoilers "* I better emphasize that word.
I'm going to try to word this as to not give too much away.
I absolutely love Katherine and Riorden.
In this story, it is not only Katherine who time travels. It is a group of people...and later it is more. That may help you know that there are some twists in this story. I did find them A Bit predictable but that did not take away from the story.
Oh, and there is a ghost. You have to meet him. ..lol.. He is a ghost anyone would enjoy having around, though I wish he was still alive, but there would not have been a story if he was.
There is a Bad lady and this ghost means to bug and bother her every step of the way for being such a self centered person.
Friends and family and dreams.
I'm not big into the many paged of Katherine describing Riorden. I get it. He is the knight of chivalry. A gorgeous man and someone she has dreamed of all her life. Reading pages of how mesmerizing he is to her or she is to him...personally, I need to skim it. The love making screens I also skim read. I want to get on with the story. :)
When the story slows down or drags a bit, don't worry, another new adventure is just around the corner.
I still love the ghost driving the self centered person insane...lol
I need to add that this book kept me up until 1, 2 and 3am...beware :)

Hearts cross time to intertwine

21st century San Francisco resident, Katherine Wakefield, has been in love the the knight of her dreams all of her life. When she and her three friends Emily, Juliana and Brianna go to England for a vacation, all of their lives will be forever changed.

12th century English knight, Sir Riorden de Deveraux, has been encountering a woman in his dreams. When he also begins to see her apparition, he begins to question all he has ever believed. What happens next will forever change his life.

Hearts Across Time – The Knights of Berwyck: A Quest Through Time Novel by Sherry Ewing consists of the first two books in the series. Both books, For All of Ever and Only For You primarily center around Katherine and Riorden, but they also feature the romantic developments of Katherine's three best friends.

Although both novels are lengthy, both are also entertaining. I liked both Katherine and Riorden, although each took their turn at being annoying. The historical world building was believable and the descriptively written plot held my attention. All in all, I enjoyed this two-book set.

Content alert: Due to the moderate swearing and moderately descriptive sexual content, I can only recommend these books to mature readers.

FYI: I also posted my review on Amazon (as Rural Reader)

Didn't hate but didn't love - RECOMMEND

This book was a good read. I did skip and skim because there were storylines that were unnecessary and there were storylines that would have been really good if the author had taken the time to develop those. I got into the how the main characters interacted across time but then the way the female lead fell through time made no sense. The whole idea of the time travel was not written with a consistent theme so that the female lead if she went forward would not be able to come back but later in the book two of her friends went back and forth once to visit her and her mother showed up. It's so contradictory that it almost warrants a 1 or 2 star because it causes enough confusion with reader that it took away from the book for me. I gave it 3 stars because there is some really funny dialogue in the book and I love humor. Much of the relatioship between Katherine and Riordan was engaging. I will admit that I did acutally hope that the author was throwing in a twist (I would have given her 5 stars) with Katherine and Fletcher ending up together.
Lastly, I didn't like how the 20th century women were written. I believe that more people than not know how to behave and how to speak properly and are more educated about history than these women were portrayed. At times they were like the stereotypical American tourists. It does such a disservice to portray women (and men) this way. Stereotypes are always so disrespectful and insulting.
SEX SCENES - Yes, good, nothing that takes your breath away.

These two books are my first of Sherry Ewing's, and they most certainly won't be my last.
Dreaming of her knight in shining armour, Riorden de Deveraux is a handsome, heroic, chivalrous knight with the most intense blue eyes she has ever seen, and Katherine Wakefield has been in love with him for as long as she can remember.
Katherine has always dreamed of living in the twelfth century, and while holidaying with her close girlfriends in England, her long held dreams come true.
But the course of true lover over time does not always run smoothly, as plots, murder, intrigue, future and past differences all interfere with a love that spans the centuries.
And in part two, as Katherine settles into life as a medieval Countess, life does not get any easier.
Jealousy, adventure, emotion, love, passion, and humour, these two books have it all, and it is wrapped up in Sherry Ewing's beautifully descriptive, historical writing.
She creates wonderfully believable characters who are all brought to life and once started, you will not want to stop until you reach the very end.
I thoroughly enjoyed this extremely addictive book.

Interesting spin on time travel romance with era-clashing complications as four modern women end up in 12th century England, as Katherine (main character) searches for her dream knight, Riorden. Though all flirt with knightly romances, only two decide to stay since they've found their true loves. After all, modern San Francisco is short on knights and gallantry. The love story between Katherine and Riorden is sweet, spiced a bit with misunderstandings and jealousies. The plot line is thin, and failed to maintain interest at times. A bit too much hair grabbing and bodice ripping for my taste, although the sex scenes are discrete. But, I tired of so many of them and wanted a more substantial plot and better developed oppositional characters. The ending was predictable, but tiresome in taking so long for the heroine to be rescued and to accept that her knight's affections were true.

Wow, the sheer amount of stupidity that drags across the toddler level of plotting like nails across a chalkboard. E.g. there are four american bimbos, one of them has a crush on a 12th century knight and they end up in 12th century at the castle of that knight. They notice a convenient hole in the castle wall LOL, as if. Then the ditz that is in love with the knight promises to wait for him in his chamber but gets sidetracked when her girlfriend decides to steal a lute from some poor chap. Worried they get caught for stealing, they run through the hole in the wall. So yes well deserved 1 star and I am not even taking into the account prose or historical research, Sherry Ewing simply doesn't bother with those. I love time travel and middle ages, but this garbage is unreadable. Maybe if I had my frontal lobe removed, I could enjoy this.

This is the story of Katherine Wakefield who has dreamed of her knight for many years. So she decides to take a vacation to England with her best friends.
While at Bamburgh she sees what looks like the ghost of Riorden de Deveraux who is calling out to her. The events following this thrown Katherine and her friends back in time to 1100 ad and into the arms of her knight Riorden.
I really enjoyed this book, the love between each of them and the understanding of being from different times was so funny. But as Katherine has found her love and decides to stay with Riorden her friends have also found love.
Sherry Ewing really brought each characters funny side out and showed the love between them and how they can surpass all eventualities.
Cant wait to read the third story in “The Knights of Berwyck Series” To Follow my Heart.

I have always enjoyed time travel books. This one was ok. The friends all going back in time and finding their soulmate and some being able to go back with their new man (after just meeting them) but the story really focused on just one of the women. There was sizzle and angst and miscommunication and reconciliation. But their intense connection was over the top. And I think a modern woman in 1170 would struggle a whole lot with life. The only thing they focused on was their speech being a little different and being ok with knights guarding them. Otherwise sitting on blankets out side and watching the men do their duties was perfectly fine for them. I did like the story. I liked the characters. Oh. Other pet peeve. All the knights were giant bulky gorgeous men with delightful manners.

Medieval at its best.....

This very long 700 page two book novel is medieval at its best, of course it started with time travel.
I don't like time travel but I do like this author and have read some of her other books so I gave this a try and I'm glad I did. The first book is the best, but the second book you get that other woman who was supposed to marry said hero and other evil woman wants him back, but of course hero doesn't thin she is a threat and takes his sweet time moving her out of his family home..... Not going to say anymore. This storyline did not make me cry, didn't feel an emotional connection with the characters like in my KLV'S storylines, still a good read.

Time travel romance

Katherine Wakefield has been dreaming about her knight in shining armor since childhood. She and her three best friends plan a vacation so they can visit Bamberg Castle. Here Katie sees the ghostly figure of her knight. All four women pass through a time portal to right where her knight is!

Riordan de Devereaux is even more handsome than in her dreams. Of course, Katie and Riordan fall in love. The story begins with For All of Ever and continues with Only for You.

This is a great story with a medieval atmosphere that makes you feel like a part of the story.

A solid four stars.

I enjoyed reading these books every time I had a chance to pick them up, and what a deal for $.99. Katherine and Riorden were the perfect couple together and the author knows how to write a time travel book that really keeps you interested.

At times there were things that seem far fetched to have been able to happen, but it was still enjoyable.

I loved Katherine's 3 other friends from the future and how strong of a bond the four had together.

The only reason I gave it four instead of five stars is because sometimes it was just too sweet, or perfect. I've already ordered another book by this author.

I liked the characters and the story line. I had a huge problem with the punctuation, specifically all the commas where they did not belong. The author thanked her editor for the work on the original books. The editing of the e-books was sadly missing. I also thought the word "whilst" was over used. In the first few chapter of the second book it was in almost every paragraph at least once and sometimes more. I felt the word "afore" was similarly over used. The 2 star rating is due primarily to the lack of editing.

You won't put this down

If you decide to read this, and I strongly urge you to do just that, I suggest you settle down somewhere comfy and begin. This is one of those stories that combines all the best a reader could want. Time travel, romance, knee melting strong sexy men and the beautiful women that capture their hearts, that bit of adventure and twists of intrigue. Its a wonderful book that is very different to the standard time travel books but im sure you will discover all of that and more. Enjoy.

I am a big fan of romance and time travel! This is an excellent set of two books! Katherine and Rhiodan meet each other in dreams but there is more to it. Ghost or real? They will cross dimensional barriers to finally meet and let their love bloom! In these two books you will meet the lovers, friends and have a bit of a mystery, action, humor and definitely romance. I highly recommend this series of books!

Devoured this lovely tale, I know both castles in the story and have always yearned to experience life in these times - I make do by participating in a medieval weekend every summer in a small walled village in the southern French alps on what used to be the Savoy / France border….I much prefer todays modern garderobe lol

Hearts Across Time

The idea that you could go back centuries at will and meet your true and lasting love is fun. Not only that, your friends can travel with you. These two stories are just plain fun. Of course there are trials in life to face but these stories never once had me losing interest. This is the ideal time travel tale.

Excellent Story !

One of the best time travel books I've read! Enjoyed both! I read the first ending epilogue of the first book and wondered why I should read the next book since it kind of gave the future ending , but after I read the second book I found out why. Read both books you will be glad you did! Look forward to reading more from this author.

Books 1 & 2 in the series

A good fictional read. Both books tie the characters together which keeps families and couples growing. There are many hunky knights and beautiful ladies throughout. Time travel brings many of these couples together. Want to read the third in the series.
