The Avengers aren’t my favorite Marvel comics, and this era is overwritten and all, but the action is fun and nearly non-stop and these early issues deserve the credit for being the first of their kind. So, I won’t dissect all the minor shortcomings and talk myself into a lower rating (not for a handful more issues, at least). I think I like these better the more I read them. Something safe and easy about them as a quick escape, I guess.
