Maintain the Marshmallow Principle-with this follow-up to the international bestseller!
Everyone's favorite stumbling striver returns in another simple and telling parable from acclaimed motivational expert Joachim de Posada. Arthur has been practicing the principles of success, but after he accepts a lucrative new job, he finds himself reverting to his old gobbling habits. Perfect for anyone in transition, this book explains how to apply the principles of success to changing circumstances. In our go-go culture, "wait" has become the most offensive of four-letter words, but patience is not the same as self-sacrifice, and holding out for something you really want is far more satisfying than settling for whatever is available. Don't Gobble the Marshmallow...Ever! teaches the importance of lifelong non-nibbling-and promises sweet rewards.
Por momentos me recordó enseñanzas de "The Secret" y de "The Power of your Subconscious Mind", unidas a algunas de Dale Carnegie.
Joachim the Posada and Ellen Singer wrote this follow-up story to Don't Eat the Marshmallow. In it they provide more examples of how to identify your personal or professional goals and make plans to achieve them. The book is easy to read with a pleasant story. It makes you think about what could be the barriers you create yourself to accomplish success or what you want. The book also provides good guidelines of steps to take and above all encourages one to wait for results and to write and visualize goals followed by an action plan.
I like how the first book is the introduction to the message of "don't eat the marshmallow" and this book is a very interesting follow-up to the first book. I read this book in Korean a few years ago and it's always worth reading again when you feel like you've gobbled up the marshmallows!
A great sequel but oh so hard not to gobble this book in one go. At least with a book you can read it more than once and savour all the gems in it again and again, so I hope that's not gobbling your marshmallow.
This book lives up to my expectations. I like Don't Eat the Marshmallow...Yet! and this one is just as comparable. If you already read Don't Eat the Marshmallow...Yet!, you must read this one. If you have not read any of them, you should read both.
This is a follow-up book to Don't Eat the Marshmallow...Yet. In this book, Arthur has obtained a nice job and starts to gobble his marshmallows. He has to learn more so that he can gain patience and get the most out of life.
