About the author

AARON RENIER is the author of three graphic novels for younger readers; Spiral-Bound, Walker Bean, and Walker Bean and the Knights of the Waxing Moon. He is the recipient of the Eisner award in 2006 for talent deserving of wider recognition, and was an inaugural resident for the Sendak Fellowship in 2010. He teaches drawing and comics when he is not working on his own comics and illustration projects.

Ahhhhh! So good. In the spirit of full disclosure I am not only friends with the author Ryan North, but we also discovered the show Adventure Time together and watched episode after episode in a hotel when we were on the road in Florida. I can't think of anyone else who has such a great understanding of why Adventure Time is wonderful, and it shows in every line of dialogue.

The art, by Shelli Paroline (whose work on the Muppet comics is a big part of the reason those books are so wonderful) is DEAD ON. It really feels like reading an episode of the show, and that is the highest praise I can think of. I love this comic and I am raving, so please take it with a grain of salt. It might not be the perfect storm of wonder and delight for you that it is for me, (and certainly it could have used more Marceline.)

Review : I wasnt a big fan of this comic I love adventure time but this comic didnt give me the same feels as the show does the story is jake and finn get stuck in the sand thing I dont plan on reading the rest.

i thought this book deserves a rating of 5 stars because i have loved this book/cartoon for many years/year.

this book has wondeerful characters and a lot of funny ceens through different quests for the main character,(finn) and his companion, (jake)

I feel like it's been a decade since I fell off of adventure Time. (I think "Escape from the Citadel" is the furthest I got.) With this Adventure Time comics Humble Bundle, I guess I'm getting back into the AT world. The humor was very on-point in this comic. Never too many fist bumps! And I really liked the colorful art for the backup story.

We're introduced to Jake The Dog and Finn The Human, who attempt to rescue Princess Bubblegum from the Lich as he tries to take over her candy kingdom. They meet Desert Princess.

Я не фаната мультсериала и толком не смотрела его, несколько раз натыкалась переключая каналы, но желания отложить пульт и окунуться в приключения особо не возникало, поэтому со спокойной душой переключала дальше. Но вот волею случая я начала читать и провалилась в эту историю, яркую, красивую, по детски наивную, но такую добрую! Я не смогла оторваться пока не перевернула последнюю страницу и теперь мне срочно нужно продолжение!

Сюжет простой и не замысловатый, есть вечное зло в лице Лича, который осуществляет очередной коварный замысел по уничтожению всех с помощью бездонного мешка, который внутри больше чем снаружи хD и нашим отважным друзьям не остаётся ничего иного как одолеть его. Но читается легко и быстро, а яркая рисовка покорила меня.

В общем я точно продолжу знакомится с этой историей!
