"I want to f*ck her like the beast I am."
I haven't seen River Xavier since the night he got my name, Faith, tattooed on his chest.
He was my first kiss. My first time. The man who put a baby in my belly...

Now he's a boxing legend, a freaking beast in the ring, and a monster between the sheets.
He's also the father of my baby... And he doesn't have a clue.

He says he'll rip my fiancé to shreds. He says he's the only one who's allowed to touch me.
He says I belong to him, and so does our baby girl. River won't stop until he has me back...

No just wow so you cheat and sleep around for years and she is faithful ( as is her name) and you love her. Even sleeping with whore after whore.
NOT LOVE ASSHOLE!
I hate cheaters.
And the best part is that she had his F*cking kid! Nope just no!
Oh after he treats her like the wrong doer when it's all him she just puts up with his crap. He tell her he has some messed up childhood and she fell for his bullshit.
Omg girl GET YOUR HEAD OUT OF YOUR ASS!
Done!
Please don't message me with comments about how he was faithful after they met again. I don't care people because in my books that is cheating.

DNF @ 57%.

Awful cheating H. He claims to have always love the h but slept with many women while they were separated. He used them to get over her, sometimes sleeping with multiple women at one time. Then he sees the h again and wants her.

An okay read. If you're looking for something quick with this kind of theme aka (alpha hero, good girl meets bad boy, childhood friends, secret baby) then I would recommend this book. Nothing gripping or worth writing about but I finished it so yeah.. not bad but at the same time not that good.

Big, fat ZERO star. This book is beyond ridiculous. I was supposed to be mad at the plot, by wasting my time and not quitting before became too lame and stupid. But instead of rolling my eyes, I was laughing at how stupid it got by each word. This is such a mess, even my thoughts are not coherent. Specially because this book does not deserve me, wasting more of my precious time writing a review.
Anyways... those kids were friends since they were toddlers, next door neighbors. Well, I'm cutting short. He left without telling her he had a big contract signed, because he didn't have the heart to after they had sex. He's a boxer. BUT, he tried to call her several times, even went back to talk to her and spent hours in her doorstep and she never gave him the chance. So he kind of gave up and started to do what every man-ho do -sleep around, trying to forget the h, and only seeing her face. What original plot. I didn't consider it cheating because they were not together and because the heroine did what I hate the most : she hid the kid from the father with no excuse. He tried to talk to her million times and she never took one of the chances to tell him she was pregnant and never gave him the chance to be a father. After 3 years they see each other again, you see, 3 years from this point on things got so much worse and the story telling was so bad I can bet my money was written by someone else, because nothing made sense. The writin was terrible. Sometimes I was having a hard time understanding what was going on.
Rewinding: so, they met up again after 3 years right? So, how old the kid was supposed to be? 27 months, give or take. But no here, the kid was about to turn 4. Unless she carried a pregnancy as a rabbit, I don't think so. and this is one of the "little"mistakes. And she was marrying a man to give a father for her kid. I was like, WHAT? THE KID HAS A FATHER There were so many more inconsistency. I could go on and on. But I would have to write a short book to do so. . And I'm not a writer, and I don't have the skills. But this is bad. Someone please tell me, why a fighter can't have his job and a family? Well, in this book it seems like both don't go together. After they get together again, some other super stupid things happens, (this author throws things in the story just to cause drama,a bunch of curve balls that had no develepoment and they were there just for melodrama) and the heroine runs away again with the kid because he has to go back to work.
Technically, there was no cheating here. they were both in the wrong, but IMO, she was even worse.
I could talk a lot more about this story, but it's not worthy. I'm glad it wsn't in my kindle and I didn't have to pay a penny for it. I never heard of this author before, and I sure will not look for her books. Already forgot her name. LOL .One last thing: when the hero finds the heroine again, she was coming back from dropping the kid off at day care. then they go to HIS house and are having sex and he says she can't be loud because the kid is sleeping in her room. Sorry, LOL..
For me this is an author who doesn't care about her book at all, she didn't even paid attention to her own story line. I think she just wanted to put her book out ther and try to make money. I might be a judgmental bitch now. And I'm not sorry. this book lacks a lot of things. Even a good writer, a good story teller, a good editor. The blurb was kind of weird too. IMHO :misleading. I never saw the alpha , strong side of the hero. He never fought for what was his like we were led to believe. He just went with the flow. He wasn't strong at all. And the heroine: like she described herself: a liar

Sometimes I need a mindless romance. By mindless I mean nothing too emotional or complex. This book was sorta that but also not that great as far as construction and writing quality. All the same I was compelled to continue it to the end, I'm unsure why.

This is a typical one time nookie experience that results in a preggers mistake/miracle ending in a secret that would piss me off if someone were to hide my kid from me. But this never seems to rattle the unknowing party all that much. Kids aren't like having some personal embarrassment that is understandable to have some shame in. Kids are a part of both parents and it's a bit of a dick move to take the experience of a relationship from the other parent and the child. /rant-end

River and Faith grew up together, hit adolescent awkward stage, one became a swan and the other stayed the same. River embraced his newfound fame and fortune and the rift between the too childhood bffs grew until they became stranger. A blessed day arrives when they rediscover one another, a fateful dreamy encounter ends in totally stupidity.

I think River is a moron. I think Faith is a passive aggressive whinger.

Fast forward to the most dysfunctional reunions/reconnoiterings ending in this push and pull misery for the characters and me.

The story itself was meh, I did really love the flashback to the last night they were together. I would have much rather read the New Adult version of this book without the rest of the present day stuff. They characters work much better at that age. As an adult River is a blazingly unstable meathead with an ugly pentient for temper tantrums ending in someone being pummeled. Just because your job is being a boxer doesn't mean you should be given to violent reactions re:everything. My husband is a web developer and a gamer. When he loses a game he doesn't try to recode the game. River's childish reactions are tiring.

One of my pet peeves is when an author repeats a word, action, or a name ...ad-nauseam. If you have quality beta readers, or proofread yourself you should be able to catch yourself making everyone wink at one another, verbosely rephrasing and commenting on the beauty of a character, and plain old making the characters say each other names in every sentence. If someone were to talk to me that way I think that they may fear that I was unstable.

Example:

"Ali have you fed the cats?"
"No."
"The cats need to eat, Ali"
"They are endless bottom feeders."
"You love the cats, Ali. You know if you don't feed them they will kill you and eat your flesh." David said. "You know we don't want that don't you, Ali"

That does sound ridiculous right? And yes my husband and I have conversations about the cats eating me.

The writing could have been infinitely better with some good proofreading/content editors. Two notable times the author needed a traffic director was when she describes Faith as wearing a short skirt, then a few pages later River is getting her out of her jeans--this is all in one continuous timeline where she has no time to change. The other part was River has a fight and ends up at Faith's; three days later the author is talking about how terribly long it's been since he has a had a match. Pro fighters don't do daily bouts and if they did and he couldn't take a three day break then there is a chance that he's had far too many blows to the head.

In the end this book was nothing so terrible that I have regrets about reading it, but I won't be reading it a second time either.

ehh Interesting theme
River and Faith have been friends since they were in preschool soon River starts to develope feelings for her however she didn't think he felt like that. When they spend a one day just having fun and making love it is the perfect day until River leaves for his Boxing contract. After that things start to go south and soon they both are having heartbroken. This I felt like River and Faith could have fought hard for each other. River was alpha at times but he let his PR walk all over him.Although they are not together he does have sex with other people. Faith was into him then wasn't she should have told him how she felt before assuming. It did have its cute moments and they do get their HEA after all.

I enjoyed the start but I started noticing inconsistencies with it which I hate, like at party she had short skirt on but later he pulled her jeans off! He left her pregnant 3 years ago but kids nearly 4! Couldn't connect with characters

I have received this book in exchange for an honest review. That does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

I have to start with -- what an AWESOME book. This is really a fantastic book, I was hooked from the beginning and after finishing wish there was more. I was lost in the book, just the way I like it. I must admit, I wish I had the devotion from River Xavier.....no doubt.

River Xavier - arrogant, knows he is hot and every woman wants him, bad boy boxer and yet finds he has a weak spot and softness - her name is Faith. It was always her, from the time they were in preschool together through today. Yes they were neighbors growing up, and there has been 3 years in between their last time together, but in River's mind it doesn't matter.

Faith - shy and introverted neighbor girl who lost her mother and her father is down on his luck, she has sparked the interest of her neighbor River but feels he is too good for her. Since he started his training for boxing she feels he has changed and she isn't sure where she would fit into that change anymore, but she is still wanting him for herself she is just too afraid to allow him in.

These two have so much standing against them getting together from the very beginning. Then three years ago something wonderful happened and for that little bit of time everything was perfect. Then the next day comes and rips everything to pieces. She is now facing a situation that River should be there for and through, however he doesn't know.

He always has wanted her and will never stop, and even though he becomes a player with women Faith is always with him, right down to her name being tattooed on his pecs for all the world to see (not to mention all of the women he goes through to forget her) One such night, after a win, he goes to celebrate and to forget Faith, meets up with some girls and then the next morning happens......too much to be a fluke, it is Faith. In front of him, and now things are coming together in his mind, she is distant and cold. She blames him for leaving without telling her or so much as a goodbye. He is upset with her for always blowing him off before he left except for that magical night. Now he is faced with a little surprise, albeit a good one.

I can't say much more (even though I could and definitely would) without giving this fantastic book away. I guarantee you need to read this book and will definitely not be sorry you did. It will answer the questions of: what is the surprise? Are they ending up together? What things still stand in their way? Did someone say there are some funny parts to this book to get them to where they end up? All the more reason you need to read this book!

This is the second book I have read by Marci Fawn. Have to say I found this book very good. I would give this book more than 5 stars I would rate it higher. I loved how the grabbed your information the beginning of the book and kept it till the end of the book. You couldn't help but love the characters in the book and how the author writes them and works them into the story line. The two main characters of the book go through a lot just to be together. You find yourself, laughing, crying, rooting for love, getting excited, and wanting to jump in the book and whoop some ass!!!!! This is a book that I recommend for mature readers 18 years of age or older. Trust me you will not be disappointed.

River Xavier and Faith Collins had know each other since they were toddlers. He was the hot hunk in school and she was nerdy book worm. He and she had grown apart somewhat after he became a jock and starting boxing. On the night of his birthday he was suppose to take Faith out and she stood him up for another boy. After being dumped at the party by the guy River and Faith decide to throw caution to wind and make a night of it. River even has her name tattooed on his chest. The next morning after River and Faith have slept together he leaves Faith broken hearted. He had known for a year that he had signed the boxing contract and he had never told her. Even though she never would accept phone calls from him, or text messages he never forgot her, even after being gone for 4 years. He wanted her back. Then after a drunken night he wakes up in an apartment hung badly, only to find that it was apartment, and he had called her to come get him. He meets her daughter and fiance and doesn't even know that Faith's daughter is his. He makes it his mission to get her back. Will she dump the fiance and take River back? Will she tell him that Dawn is his?

No Spoilers. There are many twists and turns in this book and you need read it to appreciate it. ARC free book given for an honest review.

Wow. This is an amazing story between Faith and River. I loved Rivers character and how he never gives up hope. A game of cat and mouse expect no ones chasing each other. Loved the humor and story to it.

Faith is a women who ended up being a mother in her teenage years. Strong, loving but she has a problem with running away from a certain bad boy. Faith will protect her heart no matter what but her daughter comes first. As a student Faith could never stand up for herself. But now the tables have turned and with that comes a sharp tongue.

River is you bad boy boxer who lets himself drown in both the match and women. River has never given up hope on Faith but after years of trying to find her, His starting to give up. Strong, sexy and a bad boy in bed and out. River only has one problem. He won't ever stop loving Faith and won't ever more one.

One drunken night was all it took to through both Rivers and Faiths life into a whirl wind storm. With Faith engaged to another man, and River not giving up. River will do what ever it takes to get his girl back where she belongs. Faith is determined that they won't work out as he left once he could leave again.

With the stakes higher then ever for River, he must convince Faith that he is the man for her. With Dawn in the picture River must show her how much he wants to be apart of the family. Faiths fight or flight kicks in when an unexpected vistes from one of Rivers coaches shows up. Putting every thing at risk.

This is truly an amazing story and how no matter the years separated or what they have done. When you find that one special person, you will go to the end of the world and back to show how much they mean to you. And how much you love them.

Boxer Beast by Marci Fawn

**I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.**

The brief description of the book along with the book cover totally drew me in and I wanted to read this book asap.

Both the H and h are in their early 20s and I'd say immature as well. River and Faith first met when they were just kids as next door neighbors. As they grew up they grew apart but never forgot about one another. At one point they get together again and because of some miscommunication they didn't see each other again until 4 yrs later. And it all comes together when they see each other.

I biggest problem I had with this book was the characters' immaturity. Was what River did bad? Would I be upset if it happened to me? You betcha! But I would love to think that I would hear his side of the story. I mean letting him sit on your front porch all day while you're in your room is a bit much. I'd be like wow he either must be very apologetic or he thinks what he did was right.

And the whole interrupting him when you know he's getting ready to say something and you don't want to hear it really upset me. How are you ever going to move forward if you don't let the man talk?!

Enough of that. Did I like the story? Yes. It was still a cute story. Would I describe River as an alpha male? Hmm yes. He always wanted to protect Faith. And definitely showed in the intimate scenes. Was Faith a strong heroine? No. Maybe it's because it's a romance at the end of the day but I felt like she always wanted River to protect her and she never quite stood up for herself.

It's not a bad story and I would definitely read other works from Ms. Fawn but I feel like this story had greater potential.

I hated how insecure Faith was. For some reason, she just felt she wasn't good enough for River. When in reality River's in love with her like crazy. I felt so bad when Faith stood River up. Especially after all the care and effort he took to get ready and make the date special. I wanted to slap some sense into her! Yes, River should have told her he was leaving. Although, in his defense you can't tell someone something if they basically refuse to speak to you. But, when he had the chance again, that should've been the first thing he told her. I swear their story was a big mess of shoulda, coulda, woulda and if onlys. Now, in the present, River's back to claim Faith now and forever. But, Faith isn't having it. She shuts him down at every step he takes to reconcile. I just wanted to scream GROW UP, tell him Dawn is his child and if you want him just TELL him for once!! The story kept my interest because I just had to know if these two were actually going to get it together. Though, I felt at times the back and forth drew the story out unnecessarily, I still enjoyed it! I was so happy when they FINALLY got it together in the end! River Xavier is a fighter, ever since he was a teenager. It's what he is good at. The other thing he loves is Faith, his childhood sweetheart. He always says she is his. They grew up together then slowly, Faith started to get a crush on him but never told him. He was always the popular guy, he wouldn't want her, she was too geeky. But he did. So their last night together, River makes love to Faith but doesn't mention he is going away the next day.
A story of two childhood best friends, growing together, loving each other in their own innocent way but then life takes a hand and it changes dramatically for Faith. ...a baby. Choices, some can be hard choices but some can seem easy at the time but are they the right ones. A choice to confess about a baby, a choice to go or stay but it it comes down to one thing. Do I love someone enough to give them up so they can have no ties and for a better life.
A brilliantly written story but was heartbreaking at times at the choices they made but their love for each other fought to stay around forever.
Loved it all.
Well done Marci.

I really liked this story line. It was interesting and kept me reading. I needed to know what happened next. However, this couple really annoyed me. Instead of facing their problems, they ran away from each other 95% of the book. They neither one (especially River) was given a chance to explain their selves. They were lovey-dovey one minute and then the next they were raging bulls. I just didn't understand why they couldn't communicate better. I would have given 5 stars if it wasn't for how much conflict and miscommunication this couple had. Their problems were just on the annoying side way to much for my liking. If they would have just talked to each other we could have seen more of what they were like as a couple as opposed to apart. Maybe that was what the writer was aiming for but to me it just showed how immature they were. If you can't communicate, then your not ready for a relationship. I really would have liked to see more of what they were like together happy and not always fighting.

River and Faith were neighbors and best friends since preschool. In high school they drifted apart when he got into Boxing. On his birthday they shared a night together and the next day he was gone. 3 years later and just dumped after a fight he drunkenly calls Faith. But when he wakes up and finds out shes engaged to Jason. He wants Faith and will do anything to get her back. When he finds Jason cheating on Faith it all works its self out with the help of Sabrina Faiths best friend. Faith has a kid and he cant help by wonder if she is his.
Faith is very confused. She wants to let herself go and be with River but she is so afraid he will leave her again. River is not very upfront and doesn't let his feelings out well. I don't blame the Faith character to be so wishy washy. Sweet, steamy, funny and Dawn is the cutest..

I enjoyed the book even though I got mad at both Faith & River, repeatedly. The book begins in the present with River waking up at Faith's, not remembering how he got there. They talk, he kisses her, she slaps him and tells him to leave. Then she shows him her engagement ring.

We go back three yrs to the night they slept together. The next day she finds him gone. She finds out that he knew for a year that he was leaving the next day & is heartbroken. She finds out later that she is pregnant.

Back to the present...We meet Dawn, their daughter, who is three almost four. How is that possible? Faith got pregnant 3 years ago. This is really the only problem I have with the story. After Dawn is introduced, there is a lot of back and forth concerning their relationship. They are together, they aren't together, etc. The story ends with a HEA.

River had just won a fight and he got smashed and woke up the next morning and
could not remember what he done the night before. He was not in his own place.
He woke up and he found out that he was at Faith's place and he couldn't remember
how he got there. Faith told him he phone her up. She brought him back to her place

Needs some major work

I'm a person who likes to give authors a solid chance. But, sadly, I couldn't even finish this book.

The author's over all plot has potential but her organization and realism get blown to hell within the first couple of chapters. As the book progressed the scenes become jumpy and unjustified with little to no feeling of continuity, causing the story to feel disjointed and confusing to the point where I couldn't finish the book because I had lost the threads of the plot line and had little idea what was going on or why.

I am a huge supporter or indie writers and self publishers but this particular story need some heavy revision to help it reach its full potential.

Faith and River grew up together as close as can be, until River found boxing and Faith felt like she didn't fit anymore. One night changes everything, but with the morning River is gone. River got a contract for boxing, but never forgot Faith. They are given a second chance on what should have been Faith's honeymoon, but they aren't alone Faith has a secret by the name of Dawn, her four year old daughter. These two have to deal with misunderstandings, an agent that can't see past River's image and insecurities. I loved this latest book by Marci Fawn! This book is amazing having read from this author and under ( other pen name) I knew I'd get a great book .. And I did Daith and River have an amazing journey with being childhood friends until there late teens all the was well. Faith distanced herself from him as his fame as a school boxer and general mr popular grew she felt it best as she's a bit of a nerd and didn't seem to fit in anymore. River on the other hand is not happy, his woman his girl has made distance and he doesn't like it, he love Faith and all he has to do is show her. ... I loved the ups and downs and the happy and sad this book brings :-) but most of all I enjoyed the HEA they had eventually

I absolutely loved reading Boxer Beast by Marci Fawn. This was a great book that I read in one sitting. I couldn't pull myself away from the book. I absolutely loved Faith and River's story and journey from best friends to lovers. Faith and River have been through crazy obstacles from the first night that they were together. While reading the book I felt like I was going on this roller coaster with them. I wanted to yell at them every time they both ran away from their issues. This book was amazing and I can't wait to read more by Marci Fawn. This is a must read, I would give it 1,000 stars if I could.

Outstanding storyline

River and Faith have loved one another their entire lives but circumstances have come between them time and again. Faith is on the verge of marrying the wrong man when River walks back into her life after years of separation. Can the two of them work past the obstacles standing in their way and become a family? This is an emotional and exciting story that will have you laughing and crying and cheering until the very end. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

This story hit all sorts of romance themes. It covers sports, the bad boy, and the secret baby but I would think with his success he should be a multi millionaire as well. I really liked this story. This couple was drawn to each other from a very early age. As they got older they grew apart, but their feelings for each other stayed strong. Through the whole story the main characters actions was based on a desire to do what was right for the other person. This is a very gripping love story with a happy ending.

Faith and River were best friends until he started boxing, then she was an outcast. But never to River, but she never knew. The night before he left, he left her with something he never knew about. She hated him, but loved him. But she NEVER let him know when he came back, so in this her fault as well. He went on to be a huge boxer. But he always loved Faith. But he had to get her out of his mind and heart. But when he comes back, it all goes away. If you only see him leaving, the you don't see her pushing him out as well.
Amazing story, love Marci!

Everything in this story was great, concept, storyline and characters but it got confusing here and there, it was all over and sometimes it read like a time line were it's not making any sense. It's a bad boy, good girl, childhood and high school best friends, true love, lies and he does sleep around but you have to read it to understand what all is happening.

Great read, River and Faith together it's like being on a rollercoaster. Two teenagers friend coming together and moving apart. Marketing adults making decisions without giving each other a chance. Thinking they are doing what's right but not truly making the right choice. Couldn't be more like real life. Great story line. Loved that it was as full story an not multiple ones.

This story was so good, and I am so happy that I finally got time to finish it. Although the book was about the romance of the boxer " beast", there are also friendship, high school drama, betrayal to make this story so irresistible. With "Faith", River-- the beast found his happy ending after all the obstacles. WOW!!! Must have "Faith".
I received an ARC copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.
