When cupcake-loving croupier Tiffany Black and her friend Ian are asked to investigate a businessman’s “accidental” death, they quickly find themselves embroiled in Vegas’s night life.
After Tiffany and Ian stumble onto what could be a cover-up, they must hurry to find the real killer - before it’s too late.
Tiffany is back on the trail of a murderer with the help of Ian. They've been hired by the ex-wife of a Vegas businessman to investigate his suspicious death was it really accidental like the cops thought, or was he killed?
Tiffany's also under pressure from work to lose weight, her new boss put weight controls on casino workers. Tiffany and Ian try their hand at making their own cupcakes. This could be Tiffany's undoing. this might be the time she takes the gamble and becomes a full time PI will she decide that?
Stone was missing in this one. This one was way to short but it was still good not as funny as other books in the series but it still entertained me.
This "book" took me an hour to read and the two before it about two/two & a half hours each. That's more in the short story category than book. And it seems like Tiffany is always investigating a murder, or once someone was having attempts on their life. It might be nice to have her investigate a theft or a missing person or a business being sabotaged, just saying. But again, still entertaining, light reads.
This is just a wonderfully humorous, entertaining series. Tiffany Black is such a strong, smart woman that is still a bit naive and childlike. Each book is such an endearing experience that I can't wait to read the next one.
This is only a short novella which I don't normally like and probably wouldn't have bothered with if I realised but I have read a few books in this series so jump at the chance to read it, without checking. So glad I did because I actually enjoyed. It might be short but it packs a lot of mystery into the adventure. Tiffany is a great main character, even if she is obsessed with cupcakes and I like her ever hopeful sidekick. The mystery was good and kept me guessing, I loved the ending and with all the books I have read I have never read a murderer getting caught that way, highly amusing. Just a fun mystery and a great way to get introduced to the series without reading a full book. An author that creates a colourful and entertaining mystery. It's unusual for an ex wife to still care for a cheating spouse but Tiffany's latest client wants her to investigate a case the police have already written off as an accident. The more Tiffany and her sidekick Ian investigate the more she comes to believe the ex is on to something. Things just aren't adding up. Can Tiffany find the proof he was murdered and lose weight before she loses her job at the casino or will being a full time P.I be her only choice.
Quick story that's a little lacking. Tiff and Ian are on the case looking into a suspicious death of a woman's ex husband. Suspects include the business partner, the lover, the ex wife, the assistant, & the son. Sifting through evidence leads her to the police dept where Elwood actually helps her (he now thinks his wife is cheating on him) and a small run in with Detective Dimitriou (where there's still a shared attraction). Still missing Stone but holding back from texting him on the secret burner phone, Tiff is bereft and facing being fired from her job at the casino since they're instituting weight restrictions on their employees. She'll need cupcakes to survive the current case and find the murderer.
Tiffany’s primary job is being a dealer at the Treasury Casino in Vegas. Her secondary job is as a private investigator along with her friend Ian.
When a man is found dead, Tiffany is hired to find the murderer. That’s when the action and suspense begin while Tiffany and Ian team up to investigate possible suspects.
This story has very interesting characters and a great plot.
I’ll be looking for the next book in the series so I can enjoy more adventures with Tiffany and Ian.
I actually found this one to be a step up from book five. The mystery portion at least he has more investigative work than the last book. The characters are also more consistent with the first few books. Still leaves a slightly empty feeling... like so much more could be done with the story and character development.
Stone has left and Tiffany s grandmother has gotten married and left Vegas. She is approached by a recent widow who believes her husbands death was not an accident and hires her to investigate. Tiffany pursues all the people involved. In the end she is held at gunpoint by the murderer but overpowers them and calls the cops a fun re@d.
Another installment in Tiffany’s life as a PI and aspiring cupcake baker. She and her partner in both activities take on a murder case at the behest of the victim’s ex-wife. With Las Vegas as the backdrop this is a lighthearted fun puzzle to read and solve.
Quick, simple read. Typical murder case of rich guy gets killed for money but is set up to look like an accident. Goes into some details and then ends a little too quickly and without much suspense or drama.
I liked this story but not as much as the first couple. This one wasn't as funny. Looking forward to the next couple of books. Highly recommend. Could be a stand-alone but better if read in order.
As usualy Tiffany and Ian manage solve another! However, this time the ending had me smiling and chuckling out loud! What can I say I'm hooked pn their adventures 😎 i especially love the ones with Nanna!
This book is free on Amazon Kindle. Hands down this book was gripping and hilarious. I died laughing at the pumpkin pie comment. That’s gone stick with me like the pie in “The Help.” I recommend this book to anyone who loves a humorous murder mystery.
It was an ok cozy mystery. There were a few times when i wasn't sure if I would finish the book or not. Definitely not a book I would read again. I would only read the other books in the series if they popped up free on Kindle like this one did.
This is a fun little mystery. Nothing too intense or complicated, no real surprises, but interesting, likable characters that make for a quick weekend read.
I feel like these books keep getting shorter. This one was really funny, but I'm annoyed with the heroine. It's frustrating how she won't commit to things. Other than that, I liked this one a lot.
