The cover, the title and the blurb grabbed my attention right from the get-go. I dived right in, thinking it would be exciting, a bit dirty and a lot awesome. Unfortunately this one was a miss for me. I didn't hate it but I definitely didn't love this one. Nothing really memorable about it, it was just . . . bland. I had a hard time connecting with any of the characters and the story itself had a monotone to it.
The premise is in line with typical mafia romances. There's Daniel, a blindly loyal enforcer for the Bertoli Crime family. He's a man whore who has never had a real relationship and apparently has been in love/lust with Adriana since forever. But since she hit puberty, she was off limits. Her uncle (the Don) has pretty much threatened a slow and painful death to anyone who touches her.
I wanted to like Daniel, he seemed, for the most part to be a decent guy. What killed it for me was his subservient behavior. I want an alpha guy. Especially in his line of work, I expected someone who would need to be dominant, aggressive and in control. That was just NOT the case here. I didn't enjoy watching him constantly being belittled by the Godfather. For someone who claims to love you like a son, the Don was an unforgiving ass hat. I really wanted Daniel to grow a pair and give this whole crap family the finger!
Then there's Adriana. She's the Mafia Princess. Her father was the Don until he was murdered and his younger brother, Carlo took over. He loves Adriana above all others and although uber proud of the family business and lifestyle *eye roll* he wants Adriana to be with someone normal. (What? This made zero sense! Would that not put her and her "normal" guy in danger? Because its not exactly a secret, what her family is and does!) Anyways she gets constantly told and reminded that she must stay away from Daniel, that he is not for her, blah blah blah. But she's a "tough" woman and she likes the danger of it all so there wasn't much of a struggle to get what she wants.
Of course they both fight their attraction (sorta) but when a stalker threatens Adriana's life and Daniel is put in charge of her safety, all bets are off.
The love was instant and it felt pretty off because these two had zero chemistry and the love scenes read choppy and passionless. I cringes at one particular scene There was no heat during their intimacy. Felt very wham-bam-thank-you-ma'am.
The comical villain - the crazed professor that stalks Adriana - was nutty sure, but it felt like the author just took a bunch if random characterizations and made this hot mess. There was no rhyme or reason behind him.
After sitting on this one for a while I realized the more I thought about it the more I disliked it. There was nothing redeemable about this read. It was a romance fail for me.
Safety: Not Safe. This has a scene with OW.
This is insta-lust/love. Neither are virgins and ends with a HEA and an epilogue a few months down the road.

So glad this was included in another one.. I'm a finisher so I just can't stand to let a book unfinished because I can't go through it.

This book has a bit of everything. It’s got a sharp tongued (at times) artist who is also a mob daughter; a deliciously sweet and tough enforcer who’s been carrying a torch for the one girl who’s off limits to him, and a demented psycho who has made it unlikely I’ll ever be able to hear Genesis or Phil Collins on the radio again without looking over my shoulder.
For those of you who like action, and a plot full of obstacles for the hero(ine)s to overcome you get an unbalanced stalker/serial killer who’d been hiding in plain sight, coupled with an overbearing mafia presence trying to dictate what is and isn’t acceptable for the people in its orbit. There are chase scenes, a shootout, and a couple of kidnappings… not to mention the mob style justice for disobeying the rules.
For those of you who like romance, there’s a forbidden love story more than a decade in the making. It causes the couple to have to hide from, and generally overcome a staunch pair of parental figures who “know” that they know best; unfortunately Don Bertoli has a small army at his beck and call to carry out his orders.
It was such a good read. There were few if any moments of true “down time” for Adriana and Daniel, and it’s a rollercoaster of complications from the beginning until the end.

WILL THE MAFIA ENFORCER BE ABLE TO PROTECT THE MAFIA PRINCESS FROM HER STALKER?
In the words of Don Carlo, who is Italian Mafia, FAVOLOSAMENTE MERAVIGLIOSAMENTE ECCEZIONALE!!! (fabulously marvelously awesome). Lauren Landish did a fabulous job with this book. The story line and the characters worked wonderfully together. The author had a very good understanding of the order of leadership for the Mafia and how they rule their towns and family. I personally don't think that Lauren could have written this book any better. When I feel the emotions of the characters in the book then the author has done her job. I laughed, I cried, felt the sincerity of the characters, felt fear, fell in love, and the sex was ECCEZIONALE (awesome), oh and did I mention the sex? I totally recommend this book to mature readers 18 years of age or older.
Daniel Neiman is 25 years old, blond hair, a Enforcer for the Bertoli family, specifically Don Carlo Bertoli. He had been raised in the Bertoli family home from the time he was a infant when his parents were killing in car crash. Don Carlo considered Daniel family, with that being said he wasn't allowed to have any relationship Don Carlo's daughter When Don Carlo assigned him to protect his niece Adrianna, he reminded Daniel that if he touched Adrianna he would cut off his d&?* and shove it up his a%$, in other words she was off limits to him and anybody that worked for the Don. Daniel now knew he was a "Dead Man Walking", because he wanted Adrianna and he feared he wouldn't be able to keep his hands off of her.
Adrianna is the niece of Don Carlo Bertoli, and is be stalked by a "nutty professor" (art instructor) who has taken a shining to her. Adrianna's mother of one of Don Carlo's trusted lieutenants and the widow of his brother. Though she lives in the family home she and Don Carlo are not in a relationship. After the horrific scene Adrianna found in her apartment Daniel was told to stick to her and protect her. Adrianna is also finding it hard to keep her feelings for Daniel at bay.
Can Daniel and Adrianna keep their feelings at Bay? Will Daniel actually become a "dead man walking?" Will the stalker be caught and will Adrianna ever be safe from him?

Her uncle Carlo, aka Don Bertoli, aka Mob Boss, aka head of the Seattle-Tacoma crime family, sends his best soldier Daniel to protect her. Daniel is sexy, cocky and a complete womanizer. Adriana and Daniel go way back . They grew up together in the same household. It soon becomes obvious that the two have feelings for each other. Feelings they continue to fight. They find themselves going up against a man, who not only knows what he's doing, but won't stop until he gets what he wants.
THIS STORY WAS AWESOME ! SUSPENSE FILLED ! LOTS OF ACTION !
The villain was well thought out and expertly written.

Being the bad boy has it's advantages. When you put him the same room with her it's hard to keep up appearances This time he has not only a warning but a reason to keep his head up. A life is at stake, and one he's not willing to see part with from this world. Stakes get high, tempers roar and he'll forfeit his own at this point. She just has to survive long enough for him to save her.
Wow. has everything form your everyday bad boy, mafia feel and the danger out in this world. Really enjoyed this book. One you don't want to miss. I've never been disappointed with her books.

Daniel has been with Carlo since he was a baby, and has worked his way up the ranks in the organization to a position of enforcer. Not only is he lethal in what he sometimes has to do, but he also that has looks that can kill. He never has to search for his next bed-mate, but when his boss asks him to guard Adriana, he's not sure how he's going to control himself. He's wanted her ever since he was a teenager, and she's always been forbidden fruit. Will Daniel be able to control his baser desires and protect her, or will he give in and do something that will guarantee his death?
Another great read from Ms. Landish! The opening chapter alone will suck you in, let alone all the high tension drama of Adriana being pursued by a psychotic stalker. The chemistry between her and Daniel is nothing short of intense, and when she decides to act on her feelings and he pushes her away, you want to slap him but also at the same time, you can understand why. I love how this story keeps you on the edge of your seat with the art teacher that is stalking her, not knowing how far he will take it. Add in the "if you touch my niece I'll kill you" factor, and the story is right up my alley. Sexual tension and high drama? Yes, please!

This book focuses on the story of the Bertoli family.
We meet a Adriana Bertoli, she's a college student studying Art and generally loves life. But she is also part a Mafia family and is known as the Mafia princess. After her dad dies she us sent to go and live with her uncle Carlo who has taken over the role and reigns of Godfather to the Bertoli family.
We then get introduced to Daniel Neiman who is a absolue man whore who would sleep with any girl as long as she has a pulse..... Carlo has raised Daniel as his own don as he's been raised with this Mafia family since he was a baby. He's also been brought up to be one of Carlo's enforcers.
Due to growing up in the family home him and Adriana have grown up together and have a amazing bond with each other . Uncle Carlo has places a strict rules regarding his niece the Mafia princess none of the enforcers must not go anywhere near his niece. Or they risk death.
Unfortunately there is a crazed stalker around that is following Adriana who will not let up even if this means killing her this guy means business.

Forbidden stories are always the best! Lauren Landish definitely didn't disappoint with Relentless! Adriana is the Don's niece, totally untouchable to Daniel who works for her uncle. She's so untouchable that she comes with a warning; touch her, you die. But, Ade is his one weakness and his strength is truly tested when he's put in charge of protecting her. I loved their back and forth sexual banter. Their story was so intense! Not just from the crazy psycho killer Vincent on the loose, but, from the boldness of Adriana and Daniel! OMG!! I mean what they were doing was a disaster waiting to happen. I was afraid of what would happen if they were caught and then they were and THE ISH HIT THE FAN and went through the ceiling!! I didn't know what would happen next for the couple or if they'd get their HEA! It came but, not without a price. Lauren Landish writes stories that are so engaging, you get lost in it and I definitely got lost in Dan and Ade's story.

The reader gets the descriptions as well as the attraction, causing this heat level in this story to soar.

Adriana has a stalker and her uncle is not going to tolerate her being at risk. He assigns a man to protect her. Daniel wants a lot more but she is forbidden to him and those that work for the family. Being together brings their feelings to their surface and makes it hard to deny the connection.
I enjoyed the story. There is lots of action and romance. Adriana and Daniel make a great couple to root for as they take on her stalker and the family in order to be together.

The book was ok nothing special. I'll probably forget all about it tomorrow. I didn't feel any connection with Daniel and I hate admitting that because usually it's the girl who bugs me lol I actually liked Adrianna. I liked her because she accepted what her family was even though that's not what she wanted in life. Overall just an ok book

This was a bonus book in the No Limits novel and it was awesome. It isn't something I would normally have one clicked but because it was already there I read it and enjoyed every minute of Daniel and Adriana's story and want to read the next two immediately... Some times a free book really does pay off if it gets someone hooked!

She thought she could handle things without getting her uncle involved but after this stalker murders her roommate she has not chose but to step aside and let her uncle do what he does best.
Daniel Neiman was an enforcer for Don Bertoli. He owed a lot to Carlo Bertoli. He had taken him in as a young child and pretty much raised him as his own. There was not one as loyal to the Bertoli family then Daniel himself. So when Adriana was in endanger and needed a bodyguard Carlo Bertoli put his best man Daniel on the case.
Carlo was a man to be feared but he was pretty good to his men. There was one rule that could ensure your death and that was if you messed with Adriana. She was off limits. Carlo felt none of his men was good enough for her. Which I found funny since he thought so highly of Daniel.
Being together day in and day caused the feelings that Daniel and Adriana had buried to surface for one another. Their connection was very strong. Problem is if Carlo finds out he will kill Daniel.
It seems no matter how hard they try they can not find or capture Vincent that is stalking Adriana. Vincent seems to have the upper hand. The man was pure delusional.
I so loved Carmen in this book. As you read the book I am sure you will feel the same way. I also loved Adriana’s mom. She loves her daughter more then life itself. She would walk through fire to keep her safe and help her have the happiness she so deserves.
This was truly and amazing story. If you love the bad boy and love romance this is the book for you.

Lauren Landish wrote this book, so you know it’s going to be a stunning read: well written, intensely developed characters, sizzling romance, and a solid plot involving suspense and twists and turns that evolves at a fast pace.
This story started out a bit slow for me, but all of a sudden it kicked into gear and I was hooked in. Adriana is an independent and tenacious college student – not to mention a mafia princess – who is being harassed and stalked by one of her art professors, a delusional former military man. She hopes that obtaining a restraining order will eliminate his creepy advances, but instead he breaks into her apartment and murders her roommate and writes threatening song lyrics on her bedroom wall with her roommate’s blood to terrorize her further. Her Uncle Carlo, Godfather of the Seattle-Tacoma Mafioso, assigns Daniel, his most trusted enforcer, to serve as Adriana’s protector and bodyguard. The No. 1 rule, however, is that he cannot touch his niece – she is completely off limits. What may seem like an easy rule for an employee to follow, especially for a lady’s man and womanizer such as Daniel who is devoutly loyal to Carlo because he has raised him up since he was a baby after his family was murdered, is actually going to be impossible: it seems that Adriana and Daniel have liked one another for a very long time, but never acted on it. Entertaining, researched, well written, sizzling hot and sweet, it was impossible to put this book down! With notions like the italian mafia and its rules within the hierarchy, even when it comes to love, or a serial killer stalking a mafia princess, and more, you won't be disappointed with the thrilling action!!!!! Throw in a sexy, dangerous alpha male and a feisty little redhead with a forbidden attraction and a melting chemistry and you have it all!!!! Addictive, thrilling with a very nice flow and very hot, i loved every minute of it!!!! Recommended to all contemporary romance readers and mafia/bodyguards/hitman lovers!!!!! Oh man is this book to die for...literally. Lauren you are truly gifted in writing an exciting suspenseful story, with panty melting events in it. Once I started the book I could not put it down at all. Daniel and Adriana story is not one of convenience it's actually a struggle from beginning to end. They not only have to fight an enemy out to hurt Adriana but also her family too. I was given this awesome book in exchange for an honest review and I am telling you to read it..

Fast paced, raunchy and full of action. This book had so much going for it. Adriana comes from a mob family, and is ruled by her uncle. Daniel is a player enforcer that is also under the iron fist of Adriana's uncle. The man went through so much to protect Adriana from a psycho, and then they fell in love, and he had the wrath of Uncle Carlo reign down on him. He is one tough son of a gun, and Adriana never gave up on him or their love, making her just a strong. They fought hard to be together, and I could not have wished for a more exciting couple. Loved this book. As usual, Lauren has a hit with this one. Highly recommended read.
