So let's say you meet someone that gives you butterflies. You fall in like, and if there’s enough chemistry, dating slips into the relationship realm. A few nights shared turns into living together, and before you know it, you’re two steps away from your dream wedding and that happily ever after. But what happens when life gets in the way of what brought you together in the first place? What happens when work becomes an obstacle to the cuffing, the kissing, the touching, the intimacy – the whole reason you’ve chosen THIS person to share your time and space with? We always hear that the grass is greener on the other side, and sometimes it’s worth it to hop the fence and let that new grass glide between your toes. Sometimes that leap of faith will ignite embers that were close to being permanently extinguished – or spark an inferno of flames that soon takes on a life of their own, leaving a path of destruction in their wake. An inferno is exactly what the cast of characters in I Should've Cheated will face when they play with fire. Braelyn and her fiancé, Kai, have the perfect relationship with the exception of falling short in one area-quality time. Enter a bit of temptation by the name of Sevaughn that Braelyn just can't resist, and her upcoming wedding seems like a phantom memory of the past. She soon finds herself trapped in a web of deception and betrayal, an explosive love triangle that will leave her regretting the day she decided to betray Kai. Things are never fair in love and war, but Braelyn is about to learn the hard truth about trading what she has at home for a sizzling infidelity with her ultimate fantasy....
I wear several hats, fill many roles, and never manage to get enough sleep. My life has the perfect balance of chaos and calm, and I wouldn't have it any other way. I'm an author, blogger, editor, journalist, and screenwriter with big plans to ride my #bookDreams just as far as they'll take me; hopefully, all the way to the top. Long before I was an author, I was a reader, so I inhale life and digest it as the muse for my next bestseller. Can't wait to hear what you think of it :) My biggest success to date? Having my very first published novel, I Should've Cheated, in production to become a web series. #BossMoves
I'm a pretty chill chick with a simple mantra: #writeOrDie. If I think it, I WILL write it... God put me on this rock to do many things, and I plan to change the world one story at a time. I'll always be that rowdy lil' diva from the East coast, but I'm LOVING this #islandLife in the natural, breathtaking beauty of Hawaii... think I might say goodbye to the mainland and perfect my #beachBum vibe... as long as I have my family and my furbaby, Kardi, by my side (and the color pink), the sky is the limit!
This book would've gotten a higher rating had Part 2 actually been released. This book was released at least 2 years ago. It was a good, fast-paced read, but if you don't like waiting years for a sequel that is promised at the end, or possibly the sequel never being released despite the author saying there will be one, I wouldn't suggest reading the book.
I wasn't really sure who was saying they should've cheated in this book since there was more than one culprit with side partners. There wasn't much character development so that you could get some insight into who these people were and why they behaved as they did
Not just betrayal but friendships and relationships on the line. I suspected a connection was up with Brooklyn and Braelyn but how did “dread head” get involved with Brooklyn. Great book can’t wait to read book 2
That Braelyn is something else, she didn't expect karma to bite her so fast. I can't believe her best friend was creeping with her fiance. I knew when Kai was gone for the week and Roxy wouldn't answer, that they were messing around. Almost every page I read, had my jaw dropping. Sevaughn was off her game when, she didn't notice crazy Brooklyn following her. So many secrets were being revealed and, I'm still trying to figure out Brooks motives towards Braelyn. I have this feeling that Brook kidnapped Braelyn at the end, it just got real. This book is nothing what I expected, I was expecting only heterosexual relationships but this book took a different turn. Bring on part 2
This was a great read. There was plenty of drama and craziness to keep me turning the pages. There was also plenty of sex and temptation to keep you reading. There were so many twists and turns, that I became dizzy at times. Braelyn was stuck in a heck of a love triangle. But it's not your ordinary love triangle. I won't give away any spoilers. You have to read it for yourself to understand what I am talking about. And I must warn you that there is a cliffhanger that I did not see coming. I look forward to part 2.
Once the story picked up, it didn't stop until the 'To be continued' showed up out of nowhere. Braelyn, sweetie, I'm gonna pray for you because your world is is not through flipping on its head.
