Life in the old west was harsh, brutal and often fatal. That was the lesson learned by Callie Hobbs as she hid, per her mother’s instructions, as five outlaws savagely brutalized and killed her only parent. They stole the stock and horses and rode away. Callie took measures to find and get justice for her mother. This is not only a tragic storyline, but also a way it was out west and often a bounty hunter was the only means to rid the areas of the worst of the worst. The travels to get justice were exciting and the journey was well written. It was tearful at times and in the end, Callie found she could now put this time in her life, to rest. She did all she could to get peace. Thanks to the author for a great story.
