Phoenix Force is a series of action-adventure novels first published in 1982 by American Gold Eagle publishers. It is a spin-off of the Executioner series created by Don Pendleton.

Phoenix Force is one of two neutralization teams working for Stony Man, a top-secret anti-terrorist organization. As with The Executioner, the Phoenix Force novels have been written by a succession of authors under the pseudonym Gar Wilson. In 1991, Gold Eagle combined Phoenix Force with another Executioner spin-off series, Able Team, and launched the Stony Man book series, which is still being published as of 2005.

A newly formed small country in Africa wants to open relations with Great Britain. Unfortunately it's all a trick by Libyan extremists to take out as many English Dogs as they can through a siege at their embassy. Lucky for the world that the hot head of the group, David McCarter, is an Englishman home on break from fighting this exact thing. He calls in the Force to even the odds since the English has their hands tied due to diplomatic immunity.

William Fieldhouse can do this action thing in his sleep. Pretty much one of the best action adventure writer of the 80's. This is a slight change from the series. The action comes close to the end of the book. Unlike through-out novels like this. A nice outing for The Force.

Probably closer to a 3.5 but rounded up, it's a solid if paint by numbers men's adventure novel. They have to take out a terrorist cell in London that's pretending to be ambassadors from a small Libyan backed African country. Since Britain wont attack the embassy since its considered foreign soil and woukd look bad on the world stage, Phoenix Force attacks it covertly. Also has a short story at the end, a sort of stand alone adventure told in remembrance of Ohara who was killed earlier in the series.

Recommended, can be read as a standalone and is a solid story. Nothing new and the writing is quite average but it does what these books are suppose to do.

This book has a bonus chapter of what happened between Keio Ohara and his Uncle Teko where he admits to Keio that he had his Father and Mother killed. This book sees the 5 man fighting force taking on Libyan terrorists as well as African war mongers on David McCarter's home turf No one else can get into the New Embassy and take retribution for the loss of British lives since all members of the Embassy have diplomatic immunity....An old friend of McCarter's asks for his help while David is spending some down time in London and of course he is quick to say yes and call in his Phoenix Force team mates....good book Gar Wilson doesn't disappoint

A bit of a slog - I read these for the campy set-pieces and chaotic 80s style action sequences. This one took a little while to get there...

Very excellent book in all forms. Not a real lot of action until the end of the book but nothing in it is boring as the build-up to the raid on the embassy is interesting and engaging. While it's another unauthorized operation for the team as they go to aid McCarter after he's contacted by a former superior officer it also shows a good bit of David's off-duty life when not working for Stony Man. The bits with the 'academy for butler/bodyguards' still is one of my favorite scenes of the series.

A spin off series from his Executioner books. This series follows several secondary characters that band together. Recommended
