Just Finished, HOLY CRAP ON A CRACKER! I am going to have a major book hangover from this one....
Preeya is Strong Confident and runs smack into DR. Ben who doesn't seem to notice he got run over..
This is the best book so far in the Series, Rissa really has a way of telling a story like you are right there in the plane, or the bedroom. You feel so strongly for her characters and the flow is so even, I'd have finished it in a day if not for my family needing things like food.. A Must Read.. But I recommend reading Book 1 Tempting Isabel and Book 2 Taking Jana as well.

I loved it!!!

This entire series is just so well done. Rissa is an expert at writing emotion, and, boy, have I felt A LOT reading these books!

This one included!

At times, I felt like I was watching a movie. This is one of those "epic romance novels" that just sucks you in and BAM! 6 hours later, you check the clock, surprised that so much time has passed. Happened to me. True story.

Ben was struggling to overcome an issue that I don't particularly enjoy reading about, but Rissa did an absolutely phenomenal job giving this sensitive topic the compassion it truly deserves. That truly speaks to her talent, that she can take something that is, unfortunately, a depressing reality for some people and intertwine it with a beautiful love story.

I enjoyed seeing Preeya change and grow throughout the book. She, too, dealt with some pretty heavy issues, and seeing her overcome them and be better for it really made me happy. I really came to care for this fictional character and was rooting for her the whole way!

This book happens at the same time as Tempting Isabel (book 1 in this series, doesn't have to be read before this one), and it was really cool to see how this story fit in with the other.

The final scene was nothing short of tears-in-my-eyes beautiful and fitting for this couple.

And Preeya's friend Gigi was a RIOT! She gave me a few laugh-out-loud moments, and a nice contrast to the more serious tone of the book.

All in all, I'm hooked on this series and love reading the true love that Rissa writes!

Okay, I love and hate emotional books. I love them because they are so real, so passionate and make you feel things that you wouldn’t think you would feel while reading. I also hate them for that same reason, however, Ms. Brahm did a fantastic job in Catching Preeya.

Also this is the first book I’ve read by Rissa Brahm, however, this is the 3rd book in the series. Yeah, I know…one of these days guys I promise. Anyway, I loved this story. I loved the compassion and humility and just overall couldn’t get enough of Ben. He is total book husband material, screw boyfriend, you straight up marry this type of amazing man. Preeya was fun, beautiful and complicated. Dealing with issues of her own, she was a perfect match for Ben. Once they figured it out, of course.

This love story was one that will have you going back every so often for a re-read, just because you need that epic-kinda-love fix. I’m gonna give it 4.5 stars only because there was one bit I felt wasn’t needed. I won’t say what because that would spoil it.

I received this book from in exchange for an honest review.
The third book in the series is so heart breaking and so simply touching. The two main characters go through so much together. There is also major character growth and not just from the two mains! I think for me, this is a pivotal book in the series because you begin to actually see how the connections are ticking into place for all the other books in the series. There are several familiar faces and I believe even a face to come in a future book. The author tackled some serious life issues with this book and handled them masterfully. Each book in the series can be read as a stand-alone, but honestly it really does enhance the reading pleasure to read them in order especially since characters from others books and even events pop up from time to time and I think play a major role in understanding the true dynamic of the series.

Ben had always been the type that rules were rules, they were NOT to be broken. He was always the cut-and-dried, direct, and too honest type for most people. But after being punched in the face while in the 5th grade for being the teachers pet and class tattletale, when he met the calm, cool, and collected surgeon who’d fixed him up. Most had expected him to become a lawyer, a judge or even a cop, but that cool, calm and collected surgeon who fixed him up made an impression on him. So much so that he'd become a surgeon, a pediatric surgeon at that! Unfortunately now his local reputation is destroyed, he lost his practice, and until the medical board made its decision his lawyer and friend, Stanton suggested he take a leave of absence from the hospital. So Doctors Without Borders saved him from himself this last year, and he couldn't wait for his next mission. But he had to be in Seattle for yet another hearing about his medical license, and he'd have to suffer alone seeing his in-laws oh right, ex-in-laws without Jamie by his side. Ben married the love of his life right out of high school, she was the gentle stream to his stubborn rock, she centered him. Even now with their vile words and accusations being thrown at him. He'd endure the review board, hospital directors, legal teams. And his former in-laws, he'd do it all again, because he'll make them all eat their words!
However this trip back to Seattle had been a wasted trip.. As Stanton told him its more of the same, they'll review your testimony & come back with a verdict sometime next month. You're medical license isn't suspended, they're only going through the motions because of your in-laws petition. Her parents were angry and throwing a tantrum because they didn't get their way, it wasn't their choice! Jamie wanted to live her last few days in peace, to end the chemo and let nature take its course. Boy did it, the cancer took over like a bullet train through her, that's when her parents fought like crazy. Because Jamie "quit" fighting, they didn't even go to their daughters funeral, their only child! Ben hated all the suspicion floating around him about her death because of Jamie's parents petition, he also hated that everyone tiptoed around him, or the constant oozing pity, and continual hovering. It was as bad if not worse than the loneliness. Ben hopes his return trip to Sea-Tac will be less eventful today than it was yesterday. Although he could do without being ran over by the Rock star's publicity stunt, he'd enjoy seeing the Flight attendant with Violet Eyes— violet to blue, that literally ran into him with her luggage while waiting in the taxi line. But then he felt guilty for thinking about her.
Preeya's a flight attendant with a short stop over in Seattle where her one of best friends Gigi still lives, and where she's supposed to be going because it's been too long since they've seen each other. While waiting for a taxi at the airport she's literally swept off her feet by her (high school/college) love. The lead singer of Carnal Knowledge, Josh Bolte. 7 years ago he'd been a torrential, savage rocker in a garage band.... Now he's a living global Rock Star! He'd been picture perfect and her almost first everything, the complete package. Potentially her partner in crime, he was wildly vibrant, a delectable gorgeous package that always had her core clenching and wondering what could've been. So when Josh locked eyes with Preeya at the airport, she couldn't breathe, only stare back. Then he picked her up and swung her around just like in romantic movies. She blew off Gigi's calls and turned away from the uptight, tall, but sweet stranger with sad but alluring Golden Eyes in favor of A hot night with Josh Bolte. She’d gone with her dream, with him again. In the morning light she finally realized that all of her quick romances were with a cheap imitation of Josh, except Evan; he was the complete 180 degree opposite of Josh. Preeya wanted some hot finalizing sex with the rock star, but since he ended up puking all night she ended up with yet another disappointment from Josh, but on the bright side it was at least closure to a fantasy. Dawn, the bands manager found out the Preeya is the inspiration for their #1 hit, without the royalties of course. While waiting on the porch for the elusive cab driver, the only thing Preeya knew for sure was that she needed to make the flight to Puerto Vallarta for Amy's destination wedding, from there she could figure out what not only the man of her dreams looked like, but more importantly who she really was. The cab finally arrived with just enough time for her to rush inside Sea-Tac and through pre-check-in. Once on board she came face to face with Golden Eyes again.
Will Ben run in to the flight attendant again, and more importantly will he talk to her? Where is he going next? Will Preeya make it to Amy's wedding?? There are LOTS of exciting things that happen in Catching Preeya, this is another BIG HIT from Rissa Braham!! I canNOT wait for book 4 in Paradise South to be available! I give Rissa 5 stars for this story! Due to sexual situations, this book is recommended for readers 17 and older! I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review, but I've also purchased a copy & read it twice!!

Five Fabulous Stars! Ben and Preeya are two lost souls, both suffering from a past that has had its share of problems. They accidently run into one another and feel an instant connection. Will Preeya and Ben let this love connection fly past them or will they act upon it before it is too late? This is the second book by Ms. Brahm that I have read and she has a beautiful way of writing an emotional story. The author had me engaged from the first chapter and I couldn't put it down. The characters are well developed and had great chemistry. This is an emotional read so be prepared and have your tissues ready. This is the third book in the Paradise South Series and can be read as a standalone novel. Highly recommend it!

I received this as an ARC for an honest review. This book was read and reviewed by Annamaria for Alpha Book Club.

I got to read this book as an ARC. This is a standalone book but there is a fine thread that runs through this book that connects it to the first two. This book was a whirlwind of thoughts and emotions. Like her first two books Ms. Brahm's writing encourages you to feel the book instead of just watching a story go by. The characters are very well developed and the different pivot points of the book leave you spinning. Again like her first two books if you are a lazy reader and like to skip stuff you will miss something. There are alot of details and the characters are multi-faceted. There are several 'not expected' points in this book that keeps the reader surprised and eager to read more. There will be crying during this book so buy a box of tissues to go with it.

I read books 1,2, and 3 in order so my review will be the same for all three. Each book had equally unique characters and backgrounds. The author has a distinct voice and creativity. I enjoyed the build up of each story as well as the execution. Bravo to author Rissa Brahm for writing something that was able to catch and keep my attention with something truly refreshing!

So the third book in this series is by far the best. Great stories colliding together to give a very sweet, yet tearful at times, look into the lives of two intertwined souls. Loved it!

I have never read anything by this author but I was pleasantly surprised by this book. Then I learned that it was not a standalone (Well it is) but it's part of a series. Yes, they can be read as standalones and I'm guessing I don't have to read the other books because I understood this one just fine.

Ben is a great protagonist who is wrestling to overcome his past. I loved loved loved Preeya, she is strong and confident with her own demons but the way the author wrote this book GAH! So much emotion. I rooted for the characters and couldn't wait to see what would happen. From beginning to end I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of this ride. Reading as the characters come to live and evolve is my favorite part of a book especially when it is done right.

Sometimes I feel like some stories are bland and told over and over but this author did it right. It was emotions with moments of comic relief. Great read. I'm excited to see what else this author puts out in the future.

Wow…
This is my first book of Rissa Brahm, and also my first book of the Paradise South Series.

I’ve just finished it, so I’m still “landing”
What a wonderful love story. What a breathtaking writing, almost poetic…
I felt the connection between Ben and Preeya since they locked each other’s gaze for the first time.
A beautiful journey through their own pasts, scars, losses and insecurities…
There is so much more in this book, besides the romantic story, the lust, the longing, the constant catching for each other, the healings, misunderstandings, hurting, forgiving, finding themselves…
So much beauty in the way Rissa Brahm tells us a story, dissects the feelings, the thoughts, the dilemmas, the sadness, the loss, the passion…
Especially their passion.
I’m a huge fan of adult romance, and of course, steamy scenes, but this book is maybe a little less focused on the steamy/dirty side, but the passion is certainly here, the lust is powerful and the author has indeed a poetic way of telling a love story of two soul mates who ran into each other because/ thanks to fate, in the middle of the rush of airports, missing flights, hotel rooms, paradisiacal islands…

We go through a lot of different and strong feelings in this story, there is no perfect characters, but they are the perfect one for each other. The just “clicked”. In a crucial path in their lives.
I loved the story, I couldn’t help feeling sad when I turned the last page of Ben and Preeya’s story, I just wouldn’t let them go, and I’m really looking forward to get more hints of them in the others Paradise South books, and for more love stories written by Rissa Brahm…

Thank you Rissa.

Catching Preeya (book 3 of the Paradise South series) is yet another win for author Rissa Brahm. Having read the first two books of the series, Tempting Isabel and Taking Jana, this book follows suit with another emotionally compelling story of two people in desperate need of what the other offers. While I typically rate most books with 4 stars, to give 5 stars means the book is exceptional enough to want it in hard copy to add to my print library. This book definitely gets 5 stars.

The story is about a free-spirited Preeya and an equally controlled Ben and the traumas of their past that overshadow a bright and loving future. As the reader, you experience the emotional roller coaster with the characters while watching their personal growth individually and as a couple. This is a great book for readers from the late teens and beyond. It provides ample opportunity to even reflect on your own personal growth, emotional wellbeing, and relationships.

I wish there was a bigger tie to the characters of the first two books than a small mention of Isabel. It would be great if the series was connected through more than Puerto Vallarta, which isn't the primary location of books two and three. An update on the other couples would have been a wonderful bonus.

While I was given this book in exchange for a candid review, I don't let that sway my opinion of the book. When I take my valuable time to write a review, I always make sure to be honest out of respect for other readers.

Just finished reading book 3 of Paradise South series.
This book was not only filled with romance but with characters dealing with past family relationships- could they fly on to heal old hurts, guilt and disappointments to enjoy future dreams and turn them into realities?
Dr. Ben Trainer, a handsome empathetic widower was tortured and "flying" away from himself. He collided with Preeya Patel- instant heat. Preeya is a stunning flight attendant consumed by her past also flying the world away from who she was.
Their paths collide, lives intertwined with twists and turns as their story unfolds. Two lost souls, would they face past relationships in order to build a future together?
Rissa Brahm wrote of the quest to deal with who they were in order to be who they could be. The relationships are filled with tension and passion building to resolutions. Rissa not only wrote a Romantic Novel but a book with a theme about making relationships work.
A Great Read!

Another great installment of the Paradise South books. This was another great love story about Preeya, a beautiful stewardess who is very confused when it comes to any relationship and Ben, a widower running away from his memories of his deceased wife who died way too young. It's a lovely story of how Preeya brings Ben back to life again after a year of suffering from his grief. They have everything going for them except them selves. I was really intrigued by their back and forth non-trust issues. Ben need to let things go and communicate. Preeya needs to let Ben into her life and remember, she's not alone.
Of course, the writing is excellent and the characters become real in the first couple of chapters. I ran threw every emotion reading this story. I laughed and I cried my eyes out. Beautiful and heart warming. If you love LOVE, you'll love this book.

Excellent contemporary romance between two people of different cultures and lifestyles come together. Preeya is a beautiful soul. She went through some intense events in her early life that defined how she acted and saw herself. Meeting Ben was an accident yet also seemed destined because they kept bumping into one another. Ben has also had very emotional life altering issues especially over the past few years. Ben was a pediatric surgeon then started working for Doctors Without Borders. I love the way the author has brought out humanitarian issues in a romance novel. Ms. Brahm takes you on an emotional ride in this series which connects with readers. I received a complimentary copy of this book via Book Review 22 and chose to write a review. I look forward to future books by this author.

This book centers around two tormented souls, Preeya and Ben. During an encounter, they both feel an immediate connection but have to decide if their past shames and pains are worth letting go in order to embrace a future…together. This story is an emotional roller coaster of the most fantastic kind. Rissa Brahm weaves her stories with such dimensional characters and infectious storylines. This is the third book in the Paradise South series and definitely not one to miss. I have been lucky enough to find Rissa Brahm’s books and am truly an addicted, looking forward to reading more. Please pick up this book and the entire series, for that matter, and be ready to be engulfed in romance, emotion and amazing character chemistry.
