Any review I write would be almost longer than the actual book.
So I'll just say that's it's a cute, hot little read if you are into the Krinar series...and don't mind spending $0.99 on 54 pages.

Somewhere in Ancient Greece, a long long time ago, an unearthly handsome Greek God emerges from the sea. Arus saves Delia from the storm and their love story begins.
A few misunderstandings between them:
-Delia wants to sacrifices a goat for him, Arus is a vegetarian.
-Her village is on the west, he takes her to the east.
-She thinks he is God, he is just a Krinar who has been swimming.
It is really funny that Arus makes Delia believe that she has the choice of not following him. I am sure everyone can realize that he would have never let her go.
The rest of their story and their HEA can be found between lines in Close Obsession and Close Remembrance (The Krinar Chronicles II and III).

My Review:
This was a very short story. The author put tons of excerpts of other books into this one, so its really only 30 pages lol But it was still a fun story and it made me realize how much I have missed this world and reading this author, although I have read most of her books to date within her backlist. If you are looking for a quick fun sci fi romance, I recommend it. The hero saves the heroine, kidnaps her to his ship, they have some intimate times, and she decides to live with the Krinar lol but it had its swoony moments for sure that this author always delivers on. Definitely a keeper for sure.

I was keen to read about Arus and Delia who feature in the trilogy about korum and Mia. But at 53 pages I’m not sure why the author bothered. I was hoping for a novella at least, all I got was a pamphlet.

This is a short story in the Krinar series.
Delia first sees Arus as he steps from the ocean in a terrible storm. He ends up saving her and they realize they have a very strong attraction to each other.
As with the other stories in this series, expect some heat. My only complaint is it's over with too quickly and leaves you wanting much more of their story.

Super short, quick read. I would have liked more but I liked Arus and Delia's story. A nice little addition to the Krinar series. However, authors really should do research about virginity before writing sex scenes about female characters losing their virginity. The hyman is NOT that far into the vagina. This is the third story (two of which are by this author) who have written that scene wrong. I actually researched it to ensure my knowledge was correct before writing this review.

When a man looking like Poseidon himself emerges from the ice depths, whats a third Century BC girl to do but be Swept Away?
Arus and Delia’s story takes place long before the Krinar Chronicles that I so love. Knowing this ties into one of my favorite all time romances, and that it was written by one of my favorite authors, I so wanted to try this one. However, the fact that this was a novella had me curious on what my reaction of this book would be. I am more than thrilled to say that I found myself loving this novella. Please note, that because of the short nature of this story, I will not be including any quotes in this review so as to not give anything away.
Our story starts out in Greece during the third century BC during a catastrophic event for our heroine Delia. When she is saved by, Arus, the god like man coming out of the sea that captured her attention, she had no idea that the kindness would have a price much higher than the normal sacrifice to the gods she’s used to. Arus is not on Earth to save a sexy little human girl, but then he didn’t come to study the effects said girl would have on his libido either.
Wow, this story was short but oh my god was it amazing. I think the thing that surprised me the most was how much I liked Delia. Despite the fact that her character is featured so many years ago and the page time we get to get to know her, I found her to be a very deep and profound character. The worries she faces are very real and happened all the time during that time period. Delia’s sense of loyalty and her own personal desires clash in a way that has been torturing her for some time, and Arus’s appearance only adds to this dilemma. I really loved how she looked at the situation she finds herself in and the way in which she reacts to it. I know some people might frown at her choice but the truth is it would be a choice most of us would have gone for.
Arus is one of the characters that was introduced in the Krinar Chronicles that I had always been interested in, and I really loved how he was portrayed in this novella. Arus has always come off as a real stickler for protocol to me, so seeing him throw caution to the wind and embrace his feelings was a truly enjoyable experience. I found Arus to be a very dominating anti-hero to Delia, but in a way that was also very respectful towards her. He wants nothing more than to make sure she is OK and taken care of which was something that surprised him greatly. I really enjoyed seeing how much he wanted to open up to this little human. I also really loved his reactions to how she was perceiving him.
The story was simply amazing. I really loved the simplicity of the conflict that the heroine and anti-hero find themselves in and how authentic it was to the time period. The way in which this story setup played into the overall relationship was masterful. I felt the way Delia’s reaction to the overall conflict was not only authentic to the time period, but also to the intense emotional and physical relationship that she and Arus start. I also liked how Arus clings to these new feelings and takes advantage of the opportunity he sees with Delia. This wasn’t just a furthering of his more loving side, but also very spot on to how the Krinar are.
Overall:
Swept Away is an amazing novella jam-packed with so many feelings. I loved how Delia and Arus complement each other and come together in such an amazing way. The overall story is very authentic to the time period and their relationship. This is honestly a masterfully done novella.
Would I Recommend It:
Hands down yes. Even though this is a slightly darker romance, I wouldn’t hesitate recommending it to anyone as it is really on the very light side of the dark love universe.

Swept Away is a short story featuring Arus and Delia. It gives us a small glimpse into the Krinar and what they can with with their technology. I enjoyed briefly getting to know Arus and Delia. Arus is all intensity, power, and command while Delia is sweet, struggling to feed her family, and somewhat resigned to an unhappy future. I love how Arus quite literally sweeps Delia off her feet and whisks her away from her life. I'm looking forward to meeting with them again later in the series and see how they've progressed as a couple since so many years have passed since they first met.

Gorgeous and powerful, the god-like stranger saves her from certain death, but his rescue comes at a price: herself. In a quick sweep, Arus falls for a human he saves. Delia knows nothing about the Krinar or what it would take to survive amongst them. But as Arus refuses to let her go, she will have to choose between the life she knows and the man she has fallen for in just one night...

I haven’t read the Krinar series in a little while but I do remember being very interested in Delia’s story, the Greek girl who met her Krinar in the ocean. And technically that is this novella.
But... it’s really just that. Delia is stuck on a cliffside during a bad storm; Arus saves her; they have sex once; Arus takes her to a ship; the end.
There is no character, plot, or even steam from the one sex scene. If it was going to be that straightforward, I wonder why this was released and sold separately.
I wouldn’t keep this on my shelf or reread it but I still like the original series.

They came to our world hundreds of years ago. He was there to just explore. She was just in the wrong placer the right one. Arus and Delia find each other and an undeniable desire to have more. This was my first experience with Robert Scarloto. He did not disappoint. I would very much like to hear more from his talent.

This was too short to get any higher rating I could've loved this if only it was longer.

Wonderful Anna Zaires
I love this author, I have read most of her books and enjoyed them all. I am a real sci fi buff and enjoy romances so the ‘Krinar’ stories are probably my favourites. However she also writes contemporary ‘dark’ romances and these are also brilliant. I am a great fan. Take my word for it, you won’t read any better.

I'm currently reading the second book on The Krinar Chronicles and Delia and Arus just made their appearances separately and I was curious about their story. Although it didn't reveal much, especially how Delia managed to live more than Mathusalem, it was still a very pleasant read. I guess I have to finish the main books to get my answers though.

This little jewel does precisely what the title says—I was swept away. It was a stormy night, and an alien was watching a girl in danger. He saved her and took her to a cocoon he created with his alien powers, then introduced her to what it's like to be swept away. Reading this was typical magic from Zaires.

I love the Krinar universe, I even loved Arus but this book fell short, it wasn't even a novella! It was a short story that she slapped the Krinar name on so dumb shmucks like me would buy. I'm very disappointed. After her other books this fell flat!

Ooh, this starts in ancient Greece! I liked the main story and definitely want to follow this couple. Hoping Anna and Dima explore the differences in mindset from someone in our history more in their main story.

I have enjoyed all of the Krinar books but did not enjoy this one as much that the first series. Good plot, but not written in same timeline.
