Trophy Life is an enjoyable story, one where you have to wonder if getting that ideal life is truly worth the price.

Told in Amy’s present and her past we get a good look at what her life is now and how she came to this point. Some readers don’t like time jumping, but in this story it works well for without knowing both “Amys” and how they’ll meld together… you wouldn’t have the same impact or the same story.

There are certainly villains, even if disguised as society’s upper crust, and there are those who simply are what their upbringing has made them. When her world becomes stifling, Amy has the chance to reconnect with a man she once loved – and to get a perspective on what she wants now.

I enjoyed my time spent in this world and believe any Romance reader who enjoys Chick-Lit or Contemporary Romance will find this one to their liking.

Meet Amy Green. Amy is married to the handsome aristocrat, Harry Green. Amy lives in a world full of luxury and posh things. But it really isnt her life atall. With a stuck up mother in law, who seems intent to ruin Amy's life. A snake of a best friend and people back stabbing, Amy is then made a fool of and with no support from her husband she takes matters into her own hands.
When Amy suddenly meets up with Freddie, the one that got away years ago. She is left wondering if she even likes her life at present or weather she should get out.
I instantly fell in love with Amy, she is a fun, down to earth charactor that you just want to take under your wing. Elli Lewis, injected some snobby posh London Lady totties into the mix and as much as the reader wont like them, they do make up the great storyline. I loved revisiting Amy's early years - before Harry.
Sometimes the jumping backwards and forwards doesnt work but Elli Lewis, made it work. It was easy to follow and not atall drawn out. I enjoyed reading about present Amy and past Amy. It all ties in brilliantly. Looking forward to more from Ms Lewis.

I was approached by the author and provided with a free copy of this book in exchange for an open and honest review.

Trophy Life falls comfortably within the confines of the chick-lit genre. It's a light-hearted and enjoyable read that takes us on an entertaining, and often exasperating jaunt alongside the over-privileged, spoilt personas of the rich and famous London elite.

They say all fiction has its roots in reality; and I'm sure this story has moments when it comes uncomfortably close to the truth, as we accompany the main character, Amy, through the often traumatic wilderness years that stretch from post adolescence into adulthood. Share Amy's shock, discomfort and regular frustrations as she tries to be the trophy wife her successful, if demanding husband needs her to be, while treading the treacherous waters of a group of venomous women that refer to themselves as the 'London Ladies'.

Without wanting to spoil the plot, as the true emptiness of Amy's life is revealed, she starts to learn just how shallow many of her so-called friends and family really are. Revenge in the upper social circles knows no bounds and those with wealth and status really don't care who they hurt in the process. Is there anyone but herself that Amy can truly rely upon.

This is a sweet, clever, heartwarming novel.

It is a beguiling story about high society, family, happiness, fulfillment, and true love.

It is full of colourful characters, including not only the warm, down-to-earth Amy, and the arrogant, pompous Harry, but a whole slew of supporting characters that are charming, quirky, and lovable.

It is very well written. The prose is funny, clear and descriptive. And the plot is intelligent, engaging, witty, and delightful.

This really is a great read that entertained me from start to finish. It was a real pleasure and I highly recommend it.

Thank you to Elli Lewis, the author, for providing me with a copy in an exchange for an honest review.

I found this book to be pretty enjoyable, although it threw me off that it jumped back and forth in time without warning, so sometimes I got confused. I found the characters to be pretty likeable and could imagine them being some of the celebrities we hear about in the news. Amy was a very likeable character, and in some circumstances I felt that I could relate with her. Towards the end of the book, however, the decision she made regarding Freddie was pretty ridiculous to me. The end of the book left me questioning how things would end up, and that bothered me a little bit. And for the record, Harry's mother is a monster-in-law.

I really enjoyed this! I tend to read more literary classics (and lately, classic gothic literature), and every so often, I like to take a break and read something a little more light and fun.

"Trophy Life" was recommended - and free - on my Kindle, so I gave it a shot and was pleasantly surprised. This was a fun book that took some unexpected turns and had a satisfying ending. I would classify it as a great "beach read." It's not as fun as "Confessions of a Shopaholic" or "The Devil Wears Prada," but it was nearly as enjoyable. I think it would make a great film or miniseries.

If you see this in your Kindle Unlimited suggestions, give it a shot! I would give it a 4.5 out of 5 for being an enjoyable contemporary read.

Couldn't put down! Light reading that was so refreshing! Such a modern fairytale with a not so average ending. Great!

I am a very quick reader, but reading a book in a day doesn't happen often. It did this time. Putting my cards on the table I am a fully-fledged chick lit girl. I read widely, but this is my genre and this hit the spot. Within the first two chapters you are presented with two very different Amy's and the rest of the book sews them back together. I've seen one review that didn't like the jumping in time, but I loved it. So clever and I definitely didn't find it hard to follow. Plus it's a vital part of what makes the book come together at the end. I liked the unconventional characters - look out for Giselle - and there's no caricaturing. No moustache twiddling bad guys. You believe the motives. So why does it miss out on that one last point? I guessed the ending. It might be that I read a few too many books so I'm a bit of an old hand, but there it is. Otherwise I loved this.

Great story

Just shows you how the other half live, with their champagne parties, styling frenzy and name dropping. Everything comes down to the school you went to Eton, . Harrow and Cheltenham come to mind. Where everyone has a stupid nickname, it beggars belief that they come to run and maintain places in high office. Ellis Lewis gets it spot on with her portrayal of the upwardly mobile middle class well done.

Great read. The author takes you to two separate points in Amy's life and then sews it all back together in a really interesting way. Not cheesy in the least which earns a big thumbs up from me and just the right amount of glib humour.
