I love her. I hate her. I need her. I cannot live with or without her. Desmona, my god what have you done to me?
She was my mark. I was ordered to snuff out her pretty little life. So what happened? Where did this all go to shit?
I owe my life and loyalty to The Order of the Sacred Bones. A second son, killer, liar, the Holy Filth.
Telling Desmona exactly what I was may be one of the most idiotic decisions I’ve ever made. But like hell was I going to let the devilish little Minx just walk away.
Taking her was easy, getting her to stay is proving to be a bit more difficult.

Ahhhh Quinn you crazy, insane, sexy beast of a man! I have loved you since the beginning... even through your insanity. And boy the crazy runs deep within Quinn Allen Monroe/Andrew Smith... we saw glimpses of Quinn's past in Thread of Life but we get a whole other side to what makes Quinn who and what he is... every emotion you could think of was pulled from me while reading from Quinn's POV... the darkness that Quinn lives through but there is a light that is able to shine through his madness and her name is Des. This is a love story unlike any other and some may not see it as such at all but I promise you it is... it's a story of how a psychopath loves in the only way he knows how and the woman who carries the strength to love him in his madness... Def one you don't want to miss. I love everything about this book and I've read it at least 5 times!
I'm on love with LM Adams writing. The way she weaves a story is masterful. I love to read her books with a clear mind. I love the journey that I am taken on. The characters have depth, and are relatable. Every person at one time or another has felt the sting of love and pain. This book is a good mixture of both. Love and pain both take you to places that are incomprehensible at time. Des and Quinn embark on that journey... buy the book to see where the ended... It's so worth it... FFL
Yet another amazing instalment from Lark Adams.......cannot get enough of this series it just gets better and better. This is continuing the story of Quinn and Desmona and what a story it is. Quinn is a complex character and this book reveals all you ever wanted to know about him. Can Des love him? You'll have to read this book to find out.
Good God! I loved this romantic Quinn! Yeah. A real love story here. Be warned, it's hot, sexy and brutally raw. Loved this side of both the main characters
I love him I hate him and truly despise him. Gawd what this man asks of her is truly scary and yet I beginning to understand him. ..why? What can possibly be the end game cause someone is going to lose.
One part of me says, "What in the f**k did I just read?!?!?!" The other part of me says, "OMG, that was the craziest, most insane, most squirm inducing, best thing I have ever read, in my life" "Can I breathe now. Will my heartbeat ever return to normal?"
Hyperbole? Maybe, but man, this series of books is soooo twisted I have no comparison, other than L.M. Adams' other works of fiction. Or are they nonfiction?!?! Hmmm... They are so unique with their melding of religion, old and new, mysticism, folklore, warefare, scifi, monsters, demons, politics, family, kink, BDSM, etc, etc.. Everytime I read one I'm just blown away. I have to ask myself, am I twisted? Am I unknowingly damaged? Would I ever... So many things to ponder!!!😁😁😁
I cannot express enough how impressed I was by this the Echos of Time series. This is my first time reading anything from this author and I was not ready for the level of different emotions she forced me to feel. Oh gosh, I cannot express how heart reaching but thrilling these books turned out to be. I lost time, I was a sure fan after Pg 1 of the first echos by ok. Still not sure how I feel about Quinn, there were parts in the book that were difficult to read. However, it really helped having the different POV's in each book otherwise I would not be able to forgive certain situations. The echos books were an intense read (I've got the eye bags to show) but have to be up there with some of the most mesmerising and memorable books I've had the pleasure of reading.
Job well done with book number two! Now I anxiously await the third in the series and I hope it comes soon. The author has captured my undivided attention! I could not put the book down read the first two books in the series with a quickness and leaves me with the madness of having to wait for more! Excellent must read!
I didn't think Ms. Adams could shred me apart, put me back together, rip out my heart, put it back in, then do it all over again! And I can honestly say I loved every minute of it!
Ms. Adams books are never for the faint of heart but if you can go through the pain you have an amazingly well written story with characters that live a breath. I just love Des and Quinn's story I can't wait for book three.
This is the continuation of Quinn and Desmona's story. They seem to be beginning to fall for each other, but that can cause issues with Quinn and The Order. Quinn is very conflicted and I can't wait to see what happens next!
I love seeing this world from a different character’s point of view. Admittedly, this book, like all of the others, has typos that are frustrating for me (GET NEW EDITORS), but the storyline is worth it.
Well written and the pace kept me reading till the end! Couldn’t put it down and can’t wait to dig into another one! Definitely becoming one of my new favorite authors!
Lark is my absolute favorite author. It has been a long time since I have found someone who writes so well that I don't want to put my kindle down. I love her mix of paranormal, fantasy, kink and romance. It's just my perfect cup of tea and I know that she is on the verge of major success.
