COWBOY TROUBLE is the prequel to The McCord Brothers series, and a fabulous short story. Rico Callaghan worked his way up to managing a cattle operation, but he never belonged to Natalie London’s world. They had gotten married twelve years before, but Natalie split after one week to go back to her daddy. Because her daddy always won. And there she is, after all this time, back in Spring Hill. She is still as gorgeous as ever and still makes Rico’s broken heart beat faster. But she has disturbing news: their divorce papers were never filed, they are still married!

Delores Fossen has given the familiar plot an extremely clever twist, and again I knew I was in for a terrific story. Albeit short, COWBOY TROUBLE has it all: vivid descriptions, superb writing, depth of characters, explosive chemistry between Rico and Natalie, and one of the best and most realistic sex scenes I have ever read; an absolute delight! My only complaint is I feel it could have easily been turned into a full-length novel. COWBOY TROUBLE is a quick read and for this reason, it is not to be missed. Absolutely wonderful!

Luckily I had read the full length book before the short novella.
I’m sorry but I can’t agree with the reviews for this book. Too short for such a convoluted plot.
Where is the story? I want more than just a good start but a ridiculously quick ending.
I started off liking Natalie as she was honestly blunt, a big likeable factor, but she just cannot stand up to her father. Wimpy.
Rico just seemed to be non-assertive and allowed Natalie to do what she wanted. I respected him more when he said no to having sex. These two know nothing about the other person they are married too.
12 years pass before this all resolved with some sex. Yeah right.
I hated the mother was over medicated and had been used as blackmail fodder by her father.

Great story. It's hard to go back 2 years let alone 12. Hard to forgive and get past it but I'm glad they did.
