Snatched #4

Snatched - Part 4

Rate this book
It was supposed to be a simple press conference to announce our engagement, but when my darkest secret surfaces, I fall to pieces. I only have Veronica to depend upon. Dare I let our intimacy deepen?

As the wedding plans are put into action, I think I’ve broken through the wall that Dom puts around himself. We grew closer as he begins to trust me, but then a secret is revealed – is everything I’ve believed a sham? When my world is shattered, a mysterious stranger reaches out to me.

* Note: this is the fourth part in a multi-part serial with cliff-hanger endings. Contains smutty stuff that only those of adult age should read.

Candy J. Starr

Candy J. Starr used to be a band manager until she realised that the band she managed was so lacking in charisma that they actually sucked the charisma out of any room they played. “Screw you,” she said, leaving them to wallow in obscurity – totally forgetting that they owed her big bucks for video equipment hire.

Candy has filmed and interviewed some big names in the rock business, and a lot of small ones. She’s seen the dirty little secrets that go on in the back rooms of band venues. She’s seen the ugly side of rock and the very pretty one.

But, of course, everything she writes is fiction.

What I liked about this part is the tension between Dom and Veronica. They're so well matched it's uncanny, yet they don't seem to realize it yet. The fact that he's fighting to keep himself aloof from an emotional attachment to Veronica backfires in the end in the most appealing way. Sometimes he pushes her away, and she tries to understand while missing him.

Their relationship faces some public pressure and the scenes were interesting. It's not until an ugly secret comes out that she learns an important truth about him. I loved the tender yet passionate ways they become closer.

There is a shocking dose of drama at the end that really left me all needy to keep reading. All the trust that blinded Veronica to the machinations surrounding her was broken in a harsh way- It's heartbreak time! And I can't wait to find out what happens now :o)

This is the 4th book in this amazing series. Each book flows through perfectly to the next book. The plot keeps you wanting more. There are a lot of twist and turns that will surprise you and leave you wanting more. The characters are evolved and realistic and you will fall in love with them. There is a drama and mysery in this book. This book provides some pieces of the puzzle but there are more to come. Looking forward to reading the final installment in this amazing series. A must read.

Dom wants to announce their engagement which puts a lot of stress on Veronica. And he reveals to her a part of his past he has never told any one before, and Veronica believes she finally has gained his trust.
But the drama is not ended and there's more to come. Is there ever going to be a HEA for Dom and Veronica, I'm eagerly awaiting for the next instalment.

Things between Dom and Veronica are starting to heat up. Can they find happiness when so much is being kept from Veronica by Dom? I enjoyed this one as we see their connection and a hope they can have a happily ever after. Ready for part 5 as I need to see if what they have can ever turn out in a good way.

Two words: Stockholm syndrome
At least the heroine acknowledges it.
Could've been a good story anyway, but why it wasn't just a whole book instead of parts, I don't know.
Also, the ending sucked, needed more close on Gramps.
Something else bothered me about it, but I couldn't put my finger on it.
