I don't know why I love Fionna and Cake so much, maybe I'm a little bit sexist, but I always have fun with their stories. Plus, you can't help but love flooping.
I love Adventure Time, but this particular series of comics was... eh... mildly entertaining at best.
It was really predictable and heavily borrowed from a couple of episodes of the show, so nothing much to commend it for creativity.
Most of the time when a comic series comes out in installments like this, there’s some build up of dramatic tension to keep you moving on to the next book. Ideally you should feel like each story is independently worthwhile. Here, it seemed like whole issues were filler and the breaks between installments did not flow. Maybe they originally planned to release it all in one book? That’s what it seemed like to read it.
