If you're ready for a transnational challenge, this book is for you!!
If you a man who follows Christ and want to take your relationship to the next level with God, then you need to read this book and take part in a Soulcon challenge. Cody Bobay challenges you physically, mentally, spiritually and emotionally. God teaches me so much through each challenge. This book makes you more like God and less like the world.
I appreciated the group of guys who invited me to be part of the Soulcon challenge.
The value of this book has little to do with its content and more to do with its idea. There is no doubt Bobay is passionate about challenging men to take hold of their mental, physical and spiritual life. He challenges men to consider what it means to love God with all of their heart, soul, mind and strength AND his neighbor as himself.
I felt much of the approach was shallow. But I got his point and that probably matters more.
I know there have been many men who have completed this challenge. I’m sure God has used this to draw people towards faith.
I’m just not a big fan of the “now your an elite Warrior for Jesus” because you drank black coffee, did some exercises and followed a diet.
I didn’t like the book but I appreciate Bombay’s heart for doing this.
The Soulcon Challenge is a unique and inspiring physical and spiritual challenge for men who are tired of sitting on the sidelines and ready to go all-in for Jesus Christ. This means pushing your body, mind, and soul to extreme limits all in service for Jesus. The book follows a narrative story while also presenting you with physical, spiritual and mental challenges that will stretch you to limits you've never been to before. More importantly, there is a community of men both online and in-person who are also going through the challenge, each man supporting the other through prayer and encouragement, running 5Ks together, fellowshipping and sharing the gospel.
This book together with the Facebook ministry SOULCON has been amazing. It has been absolutely life changing physically and spiritually. I’ve learned who I am in Christ, and as a Christian, along with the physical challenges that were not about competing with other guys but was me vs me for God. Making myself better physically, emotionally and most of all spiritually.
Neat book about a man's experience at a 6 week men's retreat and seems like his way to make more disciples of this "warrior" for Christ lifestyle. The topics were spot on though
Joined up to do a team with some friends, did so mostly for the weight loss side and learned so much self discipline that I thought I was already good at.
Went through the challenge. My strict adherence tapered off, but the relationships I've made through the greater fellowship of this program have been a difference maker. Most importantly my relationship with God and myself has been strengthened.
