Learning to Draft and Create Original Scrolls
The goal of this booklet is to help provide a medieval survey and some basic practice of the steps necessary from start to finish in creating an original scroll.
The creation of this class of chapters has been years in the making as I have grown in the joy and experience of the medieval scribal arts and sciences. Through the course of these classes I will be using my own personal experience in drafting and creating an original scroll with a survey of medieval materials and techniques. Hopefully this will give you a bit of confidence to move forward and try and experiment with new materials and resources to provide more authentic, technical and complex scrolls that “wow” all who see it!
Most of all I hope that you get “some grasp of his style and of his spirit…(so that) you will eventually acquire a style individual to yourself, and it cannot help being good…” Cennino

Very thorough intermediate level information. I enjoyed it because the writing was clear and had plenty of examples. Also useful as it is easy enough for even a beginner to follow. It was PACKED with resources for anyone who wants to do the work to move to an advanced level. Am planning to use it as a primary source at baronial collegium.
