I thought I was going to enjoy this book, but it wasn't for me at all. While reading it I had many issues with the characters, details, and plot. First off, in the summary of the book you will read, "Cole is at the top of his game as an advertising guru. He dosent do relationships nor does he have the time for the drama that follows them." Not once in this book did I read about Cole and his commitment issues. He never flat out told Harlow that he does not date, he just continuously goes out to town and has sex with her. There was also not much information about his work place, just that he was in advertising. Also, when describing the main character, Harlow, this is what was said in the summary. "Can Harlow step out of her carefully constructed world to find love or will the walls that she built around her heart harden further?" Harlow didn't put up a fight once Cole came along, she did remind herself not to jump to conclusions, twice. After their first makeout session they end up having phone sex and then hooking up after every time they see each other, there were no "walls" around her heart. I also found it annoying at how dramatic Harlow and her brother, Cash, are. They apparently get super pissed over the slightest joke or confrontation. Take page 166 for example. Cole tells Harlow that he had a call come in from work so they had to get on a plane out of Vegas. Harlow, of course, calls him a cold hearted prick, to which he points out that he dosent have time to argue with her over her unfounded insecurities. There is also the fact that Harlow is suppose to be 32 but through the entire book I kept thinking she was 16 due to her immaturity. All she does is get pissed, act like a dog when she is around food, and, "laughs like a hyena." The relationship between her a Cole is isn't romantic one bit, all they do is fuck, not make love. Just when you think its going to be this sweet, endearing, love making chapter it starts off with some raunchy remark, which is mostly Harlow telling Cole to fuck her. I don't mind a little bit of dirty talk but that is all these two do. They never have deep conversations, their arguments are short and superficial, and the whole relationship is rushed. The whole plot of this story felt rushed, everything was back to back, the detail and thought put into it felt very poor. Once again, I had decent hopes for this book, but it just wasn't what I was expecting.
