Honestly this is the worse female character that I have ever encountered. She is rude and condescending throughout the book. I was actually hoping that things wouldn't work out for them so he could find someone better. It was difficult to finish reading because I disliked Rachel so much.

waited to long to read

I bought this quit awhile ago. While it does need some editing, the story was told really well. I hope I can find the sequel! If not, I am out of luck I guess. No closure. If you do have this in your TBR, I recommend the read!

Warning: cliffhanger!!! The romance was nicely teased out. The action-suspense was gripping. The shifter part was intriguing. The cliffhanger was unexpected and really, really made me mad. The editing was also non-existent. I got an advanced copy and thought that it was just an unedited draft but it appears from Amazon reviews that others have encountered the same problems with the finished work. It's a shame because these two things make me really leery of trying to follow up with the next part (is it a serial) or the next book in the series (Darius's story? Luke's story?). There are just major, major things left completely hanging. Don't be fooled; you will need to wait and/or shell out (or borrow on KU) something else to get the whole story. Arrrrrrgh!

This review is for the entire series. I really hope the author reads this. The story concept is excellent, the story is well written, but in desperate need of editing. However, the series is incomplete. There are so many holes, Swiss cheese looks solid compared to the missing pieces of this series. Timber and Rachel's story leaves the reader with more unanswered questions than answered. It doesn't have an end for the plot. Darius and Grace's ends in the timeline before Timber and Rachel's providing absolutely no closure to either story. Then there is Luke and Zoe's story, which could technically be considered complete but is so loosely tied to the others I wondered what the point was of having it as part of the series. There is so much potential in this series, it's a shame for it to be left unfinished like it is. Ms. Chase, if you would like to discuss further please contact me.

Timber by Elodie Chase wasn’t without its flaws, but I did enjoy it. For most of the book the pacing was even and flowed quite well. The ending, however, was rushed. I was left with more questions than answers.

The characters fit well together. But I felt like Rachel wasn’t as strong in her convictions as Timber was. I knew where we stood with him. Rachel not so much.

I will definitely be continuing with the series. If for nothing more than to get to the bottom of what is truly going on. With that said, I don’t doubt that I will enjoy the ride.

I might have been expecting too much from the book, so don’t take my word for it. Check it out for yourself and form your own conclusions. I doubt you’ll regret it.

Rachel came back home to take a job she really wanted. To preserve the Alaskan wilderness.. When she arrives she's interviewed by an old abusive boyfriend. She gets the job and meets Timber, who is a ranger. The set off for parts unknown to see what and who is tearing into the forest.
Timber has a secret Rachel doesn't know about. As they travel meet up with the first of trouble that's trying to stop them.
I really liked the story. It had an air of mystery, thriller and intrigue. It did end in a cliffhanger but that's ok with me. I want to see what happens to Rachel, Timber and his brothers.

Timber lives among human and the other shifters don't like it. Timber is eager to find his mate. Rachel is a National Park Service employee. Rachel just transferred home to Alaska. Great

This book contained enough suspence and action to keep you on your toes and wanting more. The love action was a little slow but good. If this is a series, and I hope it is, I can hardly wait for the next episode. Its that good. If its already out there, Where is it located?

Bear

An enjoyable read with just enough touches to picture a forest but not enough to feel as if there. While the main storyline is wrapped up supporting storylines were not. If I had not spent time in forests in a few states it would be different

Nice read with lots of action. Will have to read the rest of the series and hopefully answer all the hanging questions
