I am incredibly impatient when it comes to waiting for the next book in a series, and when it is a series as amazing as Bird of Stone, I wait on pins and needles! We have waited a long time for this beautiful installment, and Tracey did not disappoint!!! Sometimes I worry that I have built up my love for amazing characters while waiting for the next book, and they won't live up to the hype I create in my mind, this is definitely not the case with Alex, Nick and Max. I absolutely adore them. Add in a few new characters, and it just gets better. This entire storyline blows my mind, but the wonderful thing about SciFi is that I just give up trying to make sense of any of it, and just let it be, and it was magical. The imagination required to create such a world within our own world is impressive, and I am so grateful to have experienced Tracey's abilities once again.
My heart is sad that this is the end for Bird of Stone, but Tracey gave us absolute perfection to send them off.

She did it again! The conclusion of Bird of Stone was everything I hoped for and more.
I had almost forgotten about how hilarious these characters could be under stress. There's so many things I could quote here but alas I'm lazy lol.
There were new people brought in and even though they were side characters some of them brought a lot to the story.
I cried from laughter and heartbreak. That ending was just OMG and had my heartbeating like crazy. I couldn't swipe pages fast enough. Wherever she came up with that is pure genius.
All in all I'm relieved to finally have the end but sorrowful that there will be no more Nick, Alex, and Campbell.

This was such an amazing ending to an incredibly original, fascinating, funny, touching adventure. I'm sooooooooo hoping for a spin-off showing the future!

Read it. You won't regret it!
This series was so much fun to read! I still miss the dream world from the first book and wish the second and third had more of the dreams, but I absolutely loved the story and the characters. The imagery was so well done that I felt the stress and darkness to my bone when Naomi was around and felt overwhelming happiness when Alex did. I loved the ranch so much I was practically planning on moving in. This is a must read for lovers of science fiction and super human abilities.

No surprise, I loved this as much as I did the previous books. Max's POV was refreshing. I absolutely love him. Loved the characters. Loved the plot. Loved the banter. And to some extent the ending. It can be considered happy ever after for almost everyone. But it's for those for whom it isn't that I worry...
I would love a spin-off, but please let Liam be happy. I feel for him so much. Even more after this book.

Fantastic ending!
I didn’t expect to like this series as much as I did but I loved it! I loved that we got to see the third book partly from Campbell’s perspective, honestly I didn’t like him in the first book. I thought he was an annoying prick, but I guess that’s the point of his character right? He grew on me and became one of my favorite characters in the book!
Also lovely ending for Nick and Alex they are such a sweet couple with such complex personalities!

The first book was by far my favorite but this one was a very close second place. There were a few pieces with the ending that I wasn't crazy over but I don't want to give it away.
The thing I loved the most about this book was Max. His sense of humor was hysterical. I found his personality comical and laughed out loud several time throughout the story. Overall great unique book and Series!

Amazing!!
I really hope to read more about Alex, Nick and the Super Baby! I've never enjoyed a story more than Tracey Wards last 3 books. Pretty sure I'll have to have read them again.

Another great series from Tracey Ward. A completely different feel from her zombie apocalypse books. Definitely recommend!

This is the conclusion to the bird of stone series.
Everyone is together trying to figure out how to defeat the people masterminding the whole project once and for all. When living all together in close quarters, not everyone is getting along or playing nice with the others. Danger is coming from the inside as well as the outside. The gang must figure out how to save themselves from it all.
Most of the book is told from Max's POV and it is amusing to be inside his mind. I love all the movie and comic references and I am glad he found his "one" too. The epilogue was the icing on the cake. I am sorry to see the series end.

I read the first book in this series with no expectations and ended up enjoying it way more that I thought I would. The second book was read directly after finishing the first and rode the enjoyment wave. It's been a while since I read the first two books, though, and I'm not sure why but I didn't enjoy the last book as much as I'd hoped. Maybe it's the fact that there were expectations or at least hope this time. Maybe I just started noticing that the first person narrative was a little too much telling and not much showing. Or maybe it was Max. I did not like reading his chapters. If you like Dana Carvey, you know, the comedian who can't turn off the funny even during interviews, then you might really like Max's pov. Maybe his voice was included for comic relief, but I just felt annoyed by it. Plus when he started comparing his love interest to the "parade of girls" from his past and thinking that she's not as pretty, smart, or funny as any of those girls, I sort of wanted to hate his guts.
Plotwise, this book seemed a little simplistic. I didn't really follow the line of reasoning for the MCs going after the targets they pursued. Surely they weren't the only big baddies out there. Or maybe there was some detail that I've forgotten from the previous book. Plus I really wanted to hear more from the MCs, not Max and his lady love. Overall, this was a fine ending to the series. It was relatively clean, both in content and language. If you enjoy YA sci-fi, you might enjoy this series.

I can't tell you how much I loved this series, this book! So amazing and original. Fantastic characters, great plot and terrific conclusion. Great job, Tracey Ward! I'll definitely be telling everyone to read it

I really enjoyed the first two books. They had a resolution in the second book, but there was still more to be explored in this world.
But the characters got a bit annoying and the plot was repetitive and the climax not very climactic. Also, there were huge holes in the plot - if they were fighting with the people who had bought supes from Sandrine, how come they didn't meet any enemy supes? Liam is present but kind of dissapears as an active personality. What happened to Walters? How did Jonnie get that house with a huge bunker built so quickly?
I got more and more irritated and frankly, a bit bored. They run, they're found, they run again. They search, they find, they search again.
Well, I really enjoyed the first book and quickly gobbled the second one. Maybe reading all three in a row is too much.
I woud recommend stopping at 2.

The conclusion to the Bird of Stone series was incredible. I can't decide which book is my favorite, as they seamlessly tie together. If possible, read all three right in a row. The characters are brilliant as always. Tracey Ward has such a talent for effortlessly creating characters that are so interesting and deep. The relationships she creates are wonderful to read. I also really liked most of the ending. It happens quickly (as it does in the past books...sort of this long build up to the climax which is over quickly, but I think that is how it actually feels to the characters, too.) Overall, the ending fit the series. I appreciated the epilogue that was included, too. My only critique is that there were some minor editing errors. This is disappointing given the number of books Ward has written and the quality of her writing. They're not so bad as to distract from the story, however, and I'm very picky about such things.

This is the conclusion of the Bird of Stone trilogy and it was my favourite. Going into this book you think the bad guy that funded all the research and who is hunting the supers is going to be the focus but it turns out not so much which was a really good surprise. This flowed for me much more than book 2 and was a great ending to the series.
