True to its branding, Ceriph offers a platform for experimentation outside the usual locus of Singaporean literature. Yet our authors (in this issue at least), far from detaching themselves from their surroundings or audience, use (or make use of!) Singaporean themes and poetics. It is just as exciting to see the Singlit scene burgeon and flourish in these last few years as it is to know that there are still many writers out there in Singapore who are ready to play with form, content, and modes of expression.
Though certain pieces were noticeably weak, overall this issue has been a refreshing read, from voices familiar and new alike; no doubt thanks to the editorial team behind Ceriph.
