The woman is pure evil. Tiny, sexy, manipulative evil. I can’t even blame my stupidity on alcohol. There was only half a beer in my bloodstream when I agreed to get into that cab with her. Why didn’t I just drive us? Because when I asked her, “My place or yours?” her answer was, “In the backseat of the cab.” Six words and she had me under her spell. She’ll keep her mouth shut, right? God I hope so. Nobody, especially Linc, can ever find out that I broke the bro code and slept with his ex-girlfriend, Abby. Everything was going great, until a few months later when she called and said the two words that set me up for the biggest fight of my life – “I’m pregnant.” It’s gonna be a dirty, uphill battle, with high stakes that I can’t afford to lose. This fight is a matter of life and death. But it’s completely out of my hands.
Lane Hart is a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author. She lives in North Carolina with her husband, D.B. West, and their two children. She loves all things beach related, especially sea turtles, and is a huge fan of the Carolina Panthers.
Wow! This one had some drama in it! It all starts with Abby (Linc's ex-girlfriend) and Senn hooking up one night, and she wound up getting pregnant......
I haven't been much of a Senn or Abby fan leading up to now. Honestly I am still not too crazy about either of them. I always thought that Senn was a major douche bag, and that really has not changed. I didn't like Abby because I thought her to be manipulative and I did not trust her to leave Linc and Claire alone.
But something about this story of them together got to me. She was still manipulating, and he was still an ass hat. But once they finally got together they seemed to have changed some. I really like that he stood up to her parents, and that he was trying to step up and be a responsible father. I was really getting mad at how she was going about everything with him. She was quite bitchy about him trying to change. It has to be really tough to be a better person when all people do is bash the person you have been without even thinking that you may be trying to change.
I really like how you keep witnessing interactions with the characters from the previous books. Despite not liking either of the main characters I still loved the book. I didn't end up liking them a whole lot, but I definitely felt a lot better about them together than apart.
OMG what did i just read!!!:O I am sorry to have to write this, because i don't know if the author is a good writer and has other hits, but no. just no I mean after the reviews i assumed it would be a good book, but i finished have and then deleted it. Warnign Spoiler! Abby is being a massive bitch, she keeps talking about how senn will never change his manwhoring ways, while pushing him away and sleeping with luke (another fighter). She even wants to give HIS baby away to her ex and his wife, without the guys constent!!! WTF Yes she has cancer and may die, but that is his decision! She also keeps assuming that he doesnt want the baby, but he shows up to help her! I mena heloooooo, how shallow, selfcentered and hateful can you be! And why does anyone have any sympathy for her!!!! I know this is fiction, but this book is full of BS! He should just get a lawyer and sue her ass!

Okay, now I know that this series certainly hasn't been full of perfect heroes or heroines. They've all had issues and backstory that they worked through. But, between Senn and Abby.... well, I really kind of disliked them both very strongly. I saw Senn as pretty much an oblivious jerk wad, always trying to get his rocks off. As for Abby... well, she seemed like a pathetic witch who didn't know that it was time to move on. They didn't strike me as particularity redeemable characters. Boy was I wrong! This is why theses are Lane Hart's characters and not mine. While the two had a long way to go (and I do mean a really long way), this story shows how very worthwhile they both are in the grand scheme of things. Neither one of them will ever be touted as a saint, but they have so much to offer. Their story is sexy (of course it's smokin' hot), funny (Abby really has one heck of a mouth on her), and freaking heart wrenching at times. I loved it! It was a perfect addition to the series!
Lane Hart does it again in the latest from the Cocky Cage Fighters! Every time I read a book in this series I think it's the best one, until the next one comes out. Senn finally meets his match, in the most unlikely person, Abby-Linc's ex. What was one night of passion turns into so much more when Abby winds up pregnant. Abby, I have to be honest I didn't like in Linc's story, but in this one you get to know the real her. She is snarky, has some of the best insults I have ever read and is one of the toughest women I have read about. Abby will do what ever it takes to not loose this baby, even if it means the ultimate sacrifice. Senn is awesome with her, even though he starts out like a jerk. He realizes this feisty woman and the ET in her belly are what he has been looking for without even realizing it. This book is hot, hilarious, emotional and absolutely perfect. I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. OMFG! I need to write this review while this is all still fresh in my mind, before the tears dry and my nose quits running! To say that the Cocky Cage Fighter Series is my favorite series since I read FSOG is an understatement! Actually, this book, the 5th book of this amazing series, is the first book since reading FSOG, that I am actually going to immediately re-read as soon as I write this review. If I had not voiced my love, staked my claim and gave my heart to Linc a long time ago, I would be doing just that with Senn! OMG--what a stud! I can't believe that with this being book 5 in the series, that I can honestly say that this is the best book of the series(well, maybe not better than Linc, but just as good)! I mean, it's a known fact that the more someone writes in general, the better writer they become. But, in my experience as a reader, the more books in a series, the weaker the story line tends to become. Well, I am here to state, not in this series and most definitely not with this author! This story line is over the top! I honestly felt like I was on a rollercoaster ride, and not one of those kiddie ride ones. One of those big-a$$ ones with the big loops in it! More than once I caught myself either holding my breath and sitting on the edge of my seat anticipating what was coming next, and for all you horndogs out there that have come to love Lane's flair with the hot and steamy sex scenes that steam up the screens of your kindles and almost melt your panties off, well she does not disappoint! She certainly has not lost her touch when writing hot, panty-drenching sex scenes! They are plentiful and as hot as he!!, almost enough that I can forgive her for tearing my heart right out of my chest at one point. I said ALMOST! As much as I would like to stay furious, I can't. This book was that good! It had everything that it takes to be a 5 star PLUS read! It made me feel all kinds of emotions! One minute I was actually laughing out loud and shaking my head and then later I found myself crying. One time I was crying happy tears and the next it's heart-wrenching all out sobs! Ms. Hart has an amazing gift and I thank God that she chooses to share that gift with book lovers such as myself. I can promise you all one thing. If you decide to read this book, or any book in this series, you will not be sorry, but if you do, my suggestion to you is, to start at the beginning. If you don't, you are doing yourself a huge injustice, by not reading it in order to get the full potential of the story. Thank you again Lane, I look forward to reading book 6, Nate's Story.
Once again Lane has written an amazing book. I almost threw my kindle a couple of times and wanted to choke Senn and Abby. They are so stubborn but are perfect for each other. Senn is not my Mace and I don't think anyone could take his place but I liked Senn, once we got to know the real him. I am also so honored to receive an ARC of all these smoking hot men! Can't wait to read the rest of their stories. :)
I hated Abbie in Lincs book, I thought Senn was a jerk in Maces book. I really enjoyed this book, I loved Senn after the first page, Abbie it took a lot longer (epilogue) to like. But it was a lovely story Lane and I'm glad you didn't do what we spoke about lol. I'm super excited for the rest xxx
Senn was the fifth book in the Cocky Cage Fighters series by Lane Hart. Although most can be read as a stand-alone, Senn was better read in order.
I’ve taken a break from formal reviews for a while, but a couple quick thoughts: In prior books, I wasn’t fond of Senn but he grew on me with his own story and I learned to love him. Abby, however, I really disliked. To her defense, she had quite a bit of baggage, but I just couldn’t relate to her actions, nor did I see the connection with Senn or frankly any of her boy toys. With that said, this was just my opinion and although it wasn’t my favorite book in the series, it was a worthy read.
This was such an awesome read that I could not put down once I started it. I have read all of the other books in this series but so far, Senn was my favorite. The plot line moved along and in places was absolutely heart wrenching (all I can say there without giving away spoilers!). I truly felt the characters emotions as well as for the characters themselves as Abby and Senn navigate their relationship throughout this book. The book was a hot read even through the characters did not start out on really good terms with each other. I also enjoyed how the characters from the previous books made appearances in this book as the timeline for this book lines up the her last book Mace. I overall was just blown away by this book by the end and can not wait to see what is next for this series. I received an ARC copy in exchange for an honest review.
Having been lucky enough to get to read Senn that bit early all I can say is Wow this book is something special alright. It will have you going through all your emotions and have you gripped at the same time. I recommend a comfy chair and some tissues maybe some chocolate and I can guarantee you will not be moving till you read the words the end. This book shows you Abby in different light and you will fall in love with her as much as you will Senn i think he is my favourite ❤️. I am giving this book 5 stars and it deserves everyone of them. Lane Hart you have done it again with your awesomeness!
We meet Senn in Mace while he tries and fails to get Linc's sister into bed. But he does find himself in the back of a cab with someone else. But one night is all he needs to plant the seed.. see what i did there? ;)
The story of Senn and Abby is actually one i love! I absolutely love Surprise pregnancies! One of my favourite sub gens!
Lane Hart always delivers a book that will make you fall in lust/love with the characters no matter what they do. Some you want to slap upside the head but after you iron out the kinks you fall deeply and madly in love. You'll be hooked as hard as i am to Lane's writing!
Lane Hart is an amazing author, her books just keep getting better! In the beginning Senn is a hit it and guit it manwhore, after his one night stand with Abby, his best friend Linc's ex girlfriend things get complicated! Abby is a smart mouthed wedding planner that is in love with his best friend, she is sick and pregnant with Senn's baby. I fell in love with Senn before I finished this book. This is a must read book!
Omg I loved this book it was full of love and emotion and had me crying throughout. There were parts of the book where I didnt want to carry on reading because I didnt want it to end the way I thought it was going to but thank God it ended differently or I would be an emotional mess. Such an amazing book.
Well Lane Hart you did it again. The Cocky Cage Fighter series is one of the best I have read. Senn and Abby's story had me laughing and crying (yes I admit I shed a tear or two ). Great work Lane can't wait for Nates story.
I freaking loved this book. Not only has Lane delivered a sexy alpha fighter with a sweet side, she also delivered a smart, sexy, strong women. There were a few things I predicted that was going to happen. That being said that didn't want me to put the book down or stop the feels!
Senn (A Cocky Cage Fighter #5) by Lane Hart • Emotional WARNING: THIS BOOK IS INTENDED FOR MATURE AUDIENCES 18 + ONLY AND CONTAINS EXPLICIT SEX SCENES AND ADULT LANGUAGE! WOW!!! This is an extremely emotional story, grab some tissues just in case. I laughed so hard several times as well as bawled my eyes out. Each of the stories within this series just keeps getting better and better. Senn and Abbey have a one night stand. Senn's Moto... One and done, while Abbey's heart was just shattered after finding out Linc is definitely getting married. Their one night stand produces a baby which Abbey will give anything to have while Senn on the other hand is a player and always will be, or will he? You'll have to read Senn to find out but it'll be OH SO WORTH the time to read it. I got hooked on this series as soon as I started reading Jax! While each of these stories in this series are their own standalone HEA, reading the series from the beginning will give you more background and depth of the complete story. Time to go read Nate's story!! Due to sexual and adult situations this novel is recommended for readers 18 and older. Favorite Passages ~ • That’s my story, and I’m sticking to it. • “If it was my boy, his twig and berries would already be on full display. • “Just follow the slit in the road to the second entrance. If you drive all the way through the bush, well, then you’ve gone too far. Do you need a pen so you can write this down?” • I’m not entirely sure that I didn’t get pregnant from just looking at him. • “One day you’re gonna want something with all your heart. When you do, multiply that feeling by the number of stars in the sky and it still won’t be how much I wanted to be your mother
Senn by Lane Hart a fantastic five star read. This is the fifth book in the cocky cage fighter series, they can all be read as stand-alone books but I whole heartedly recommend that you read them in the series order, as you see the other guys and girls from earlier and later books pop up along the way, and you may spoil the heart and passion that each book builds if you don’t read them in order. You would miss the private in jokes, that pop up along the way like airport coffee. That being said this book nearly broke me, I have loved the other books and had met Senn and Abby before and didn’t like either of them very much, but they possibly became my favourite couple in this series I have laughed and cried alongside them. Lane Hart did the impossible and she brought the fight to a couple that when I first started reading this book I wasn’t sure they were worth fighting for, by the end I wanted to climb into the eight-sided cage and battle everything they faced. One night changes everything, one taxi ride, one more drink, if just one thing had been changed then fate may not have been able to sucker punch Senn Duncan into the situation he finds himself in. He has spent his time training and fighting and just enjoying himself. One night he is doing his usual drinking and relaxing and looking for some company for the night, when someone he recognises pops up. Abby Merchant has had a tough time, and it looks like it’s about to get tougher. The man she had thought she was going to marry one day is in love with another woman and the night he announces he is getting married she goes to a bar to get drunk and it leads to a taxi ride that leads to one unexpected complication for Abby and Senn. That complication arises a couple of months later with two little words ‘I’m pregnant’ The problem is that pregnancy isn’t the only complication that arises and they will both face a battle but will they both be strong enough to survive? Normally it’s just the boys of Havok doing the fighting but Abby faces just a big a battle if not a bigger fight than any of the boys have faced. Lane Hart has out done herself, I am only wondering how she will be able to top this story. Nate is up next and I wonder what his story will bring, he has been the quiet one but sometimes it’s the quiet ones you have to watch.
This wasn't a great installment in the series for me. Thankfully, it was a quick read, but I honestly can't recommend it to others!
I hated both of the main characters in the story! Abby was a total manipulative bitch, while Senn was just a manwhore who was forced into a situation where he was making the best of things. Although the characters had good chemistry as a couple, I didn't see enough romance between them to justify an actual relationship. The story mainly focused on the sex, and there just wasn't enough plot to hold it up.
I'll give the series another try, but this wasn't worth my time.
MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS - The series just keeps getting better & better! In the last book we learned that Abby, in a moment of sadness over the loss of her ex-boyfriend, got drunk one night & hooked up with Senn to comfort her. Very hot oral action in the back of the cab, with the cab driver pulling over to watch! There is quite a bit of voyeur action as Luke, one of the young cute fighters, has made it clear that when he's with Abby he would love to hear about her exploits with Senn & his fantasy would be to watch. Where is Luke's story?? This is the hottest of the cocky cage fighter series, if you can believe it, since Luke is allowed to be in the bedroom with Senn & Abby & it turns dirty, something I've never read about actually and it was amazing! Anyway, it is a bit disturbing that Abby finds herself pregnant & Senn comes to his senses & wants to be there for her & their baby girl, and actually wants to be in her life & in her bed, and yet Abby, while pregnant, keeps a boy toy like Luke coming to her bed all the time. With the small group of MMA fighters, Abby has been with three of them!! Not judging, maybe I am because she's pregnant. Later we find out why Abby is living her life balls to the wall & it completely changes the dynamic of the story. And I really felt bad for Senn who no one takes seriously since he's such a player, and he grew up with no parent role models so how can he be trusted with a baby daughter on his own? Really great story! I also read the story about Nate, the ginger fighter who no longer fights because of his fear of blood but rather does more training & office manager work at the club. This is a clever story, although not as good as the last two, because Nate was in love with a man who he lost & is mourning for still. Alyssa has a nerdy son who desperately wants to take Nate's self-defense class, and soon they are having rabbit sex everywhere in her house! This is when we meet Patrick, AKA Trick who will be highlighted in the next book. Patrick was Alyssa's husband's best friend & military partner & he wants to be more to Alyssa & her son. In the end, after he & Nate get into a fist fight, Patrick is offered an opportunity to fight at the club.
This is story of Senn and Abby, we meet Abby in 3rd book in the series where she was not particularly likeable there as character. Unfortunately in this story she continues to be manipulative character and the fact she has leukaemia does not change that. Senn is overall immature character but has to grow up and take responsibility for his actions. Lucas who is Abby's friend with benefits does not convince that at 19 years of age he has enough maturity to advice Senn. The book is overloaded with hot scenes as if to fill the gaps for the plot. Overall the story is quite poor and not well thought through. It also has inconsistencies as it starts at a point in time where Abby is few weeks before Lincs wedding, which is the reason for her being with Senn and then it continues 3.5 months later when she appears for her former boyfriend wedding, apparently "heavily pregnant" (really at 3.5months?) when the story continues. The fact she has leukaemia does not make Abby automatically loveable as a character, overall she does not evoke any positive feelings when you follow her in the story. Senn I'm afraid is also not convicting about his love. In summary not a great read.
I went into this story already not liking Abby and to be honest nothing really happened to change my opinion of her. It's hard to like a book when you HATE one of the main characters. First she kept bringing up Linc to Senn. That was below the belt and cruel. She was extremely judgmental of Senn and his lifestyle when she was slutting it up with Luke. Then she has the nerve to get mad because he slept with his housekeeper twice BEFORE they were serious. There are many more examples of my reasons for disliking her but I have neither the energy or desire to spend the time listing them.
The only reason I gave this one 2 stars is because of Senn. He showed a lot of growth as a person throughout the book.
Despite my less than stellar review of this particular story, I think that the series as a whole is definitely worth a read.
I love this series!! Lane Hart makes me love fighters even more with these books! Senn is such a hot ,cocky, sexy man such a manwhore but you know what Abby is the same way they both mash up together so well how they have same personality.I have a hate/love relationship with Abby one min I like her next I'm just like really get over yourself already! Moral of the story is surprised pregnancy, trust issues, and you never know until it hits ya all at once! I loved this book so much actually this series!!! I can't wait to hear about Luke's story next! 5/5 stars I received a ARC for my unbiased review
I received an ARC of this book for an honest review.
I love The CCF series and throughly enjoyed reading this book.
Prepare your self for an emotionally gripping book.
I loved Senn in the other books and love him even more now. I disliked Abby in Linc's book and wasn't sure how if I would like her in this book. I can honestly say that I really didn't like her for at least the first half of this book but by the end of the book I loved her.
I received an ARC for an honest review, and I'm trying to write this review without spoilers.
Wow, I am not sure I will be able to find the words to do this book justice. Lane Hart is the writer, not me, that's why I am a reader.
Another amazing book from this series. I spent most of the book thinking that you are an evil, evil woman. Then I got to the epilogue and was like I hate you so hard right now, but then you made me love you again.
Another great story by Lane, the only thing I would of liked was to know how abbys reaction was when she woke up from her coma to see her daughter for the first time x
This was a HEA with a difference. The story was written differently too which changed the routine of the previous books in this series. Showing how a confirmed bachelor for life, Senn, can slowly figure out exactly what he thinks he wants is not necessary what he needs. And whilst Abby's character really frustrated me with her whole double standards when it came to Senn and other women verses her and Luke; I was relieved when they finally realized the relationship they wanted.
Abby has been in love with Linc since they were high school sweethearts. Five years ago, she broke his heart but she is back and although he is dating Claire, she is heartbroken after they announce their engagement the same day she finds out her Leukemia is back. Deciding to drink her sorrows away, she is shocked to find Linc's friend Senn also at the club and their immediate attraction pulls them into some hot kinky sex.
At Linc & Claire's wedding, Abby has no choice but to confront Senn and tell him she is pregnant with his child. Blaming her severe bouts of fatigue on the pregnancy, she refuses to reveal the severity of her illness. Deciding not to have chemotherapy or treatment for the Leukemia; Abby puts the safety of their child first-initially unbeknownst to Senn. When he finds out, he tries to change her mind but in the end supports her decision.
Senn broke the bro code by sleeping with Abby and he cannot even blame alcohol. He had wanted to have her legs wrapped around him ever since she first walked into the gym. He was sober when he hooked up with Abby and now she pregnant with his child. When he discovers Luke, the young fighter from his gym at Abby's apartment with no shirt on, he cannot control his rage. An argument pursues but its not long before he finds himself back outside Abby's apartment again with the determination to show her he can forgo the party lifestyle and be the stable father to his child.
Abby's pregnancy hormones are driving her wild. On the outside she portrays she is a sex-hungry pregnant woman but inside she is just a young girl lost and worried if she doesn't offer sex to the one man who is sticking by her, she will lose him to someone else. She is insecure, especially trying to hide how tired and sick she is. She also is scared to take a chance on Senn for fear of rejection again. But it is Luke who tells her to put her fears aside and go for it.
Senn figures out his true feelings for Abby round about the same time he figures out just how sick she really is. Worried about his child's future but even more worried he will lose the one woman he has ever loved, he is more focused to be there for Abby no matter what. Fighting is no longer his top priority but being all Abby needs is. Scared about losing her, they are both in for the fight of their lives.

So first I want to say that Abby was a huge first class bitch! I had no idea what a fucking twat this woman was because she was portrayed as such a sweet, loving girl in Linc's book, but man this girl was a vindictive, catty...well bitch! She was a bitch to Senn, a bitch to Claire and just plain selfish to Luke who for some reason thought she walked on water! I'm just chalking that up to his young age.
Abby was the epitome of a fucked up female lead. The only person she actually cared about was her unborn baby, still she used that baby to try and fuck things up between Linc and Claire so that's not saying much. I was very disgusted with her character for like 90% of the book, because she was very unlikable and just so quick to judge and think so little of Senn. I started to feel really bad for her when Senn found her video diaries for their baby. That was just so sad and really brought home how sick she was.
The whole ordeal from her going into labor to everything else is just heartbreaking, so while I didn't care at all for her character, I give her kudos for trying her hardest to keep her baby healthy even if it was at the cost of her own health. That was probably the only unselfish thing she did.
Senn was a total manwhore! Ewww! The thing is that even with his dubious slutty reputation he did step up and tried to do the right thing, even when Abby turned him away or spoke down to him or blatantly flaunted her relationship with Luke in his face or used the baby to try and mess up Linc and Claire's marriage, Senn still didn't give up. He kept at it until she had no choice but to let him be involved in the baby's life. See...bitch.
Overall it was a very sad, frustrating and upsetting read but with a few good times thrown in.
