Killer in Him

Rate this book
Joy Lewis has just walked into a nightmare. Entering her friend’s home, Joy is met with her dead body, and the guy Joy had been renting a room to, stood over it. He'd killed her, and now, he must kill her.

Ben has broken all the rules with his latest target. Joy was a distraction and now that she is a witness, he can’t let her go. He takes her and hides her away on his island. She can scream, run, and no one will hear her. She’s trapped with him, with only the use of a diary to spill her secrets.

The attraction to Ben started long before she saw him as a killer. How can she want a man who kills people for money? Joy can’t deny her attraction. Alone together on an island, there’s no way she can keep him away for long, and what’s worse, she doesn’t want to.

Nothing can last, and even though Joy has gotten under his skin, he will not change the man he’s become. He’s a killer, and there’s no room for Joy. Their time together is coming to an end, but can their love be enough to keep them together?

Sam Crescent

Sam Crescent is passionate about fiction. She loves a good erotic romance and so it only made sense for her to spread her wings and start writing. She began writing in 2009 and finally got that first acceptance in 2011 by Total-E-Bound.
She loved creating new characters and delving into the worlds that she creates. When she’s not panicking about a story or arguing with a character, she can be found in her kitchen creating all kinds of havoc. Like her stories the creations in the kitchen can be just as dubious but sometimes things turn out great.

I rather enjoyed this one.

Nothing earth shattering here, but I enjoyed both characters and it had some enjoyable sexy times. The whole side bit with the "incinerator" was a bit odd and really didn't add anything to the story, but whatevs...I liked it.

Like many sam books i do enjoy some of them.. this one i was leaning to liking then it took a star away when i found out when Ben was living with Joy he did take woman home and had sex with them.. but we didn't know this until after Ben kidnapped Joy chapters later that she would hear and fantasize about it.. yeah it was only mentioned so this turned into a 3 star for me..i started to skimm some pages i felt Joy was weak when Ben pushed her away and left her she gave in to easy when he came back for her.. he should have groveled more... wayyyy more.. :/

Angst, no om he did have ow but it was mentioned and Joy heard but was never shown, was a manwhoreish not a virgin gal, steamy sex.

ARC received in exchange for an honest review

I enjoyed this one!
Ben is a hired killer and is watching his new target when he catches sight of Joy and after that there was nothing going to stop him from getting her. Even though this was suppose to be a quick job he broke the rules of a Hired killer and to attached to Joy.
After she catches him killing her neighbor he kidnaps Joy and takes her to his island

From there he did everything in his power to have her. Seriously who doesn't want to be kidnapped by a Hot Alpha Male and taken to his private island... Er Yah ME!! lol

Quick, hot, steamy sexy story... Loved it

Thanks Sam for an enjoyable read!

I'm stopping at 35%. Oh I COULD carry on and get so frustrated that I go on a rant, but I can't even be bothered for that.

It wasn't that there was anything major wrong with this - the writing was okay and the setup was alright. But I felt absolutely nothing for either of them. No chemistry, no sexual tension - nothing. I got bored and it was a struggle to get as far along as I did.

Yes Ben the big bad killer was an arsehole...

"He was happy to fuck whatever bitch he wanted, fat, thin, blonde, red, he didn't care. Providing they had a warm cunt and were willing to swallow, he didn't care."

... but he was a BLAND arsehole. And Joy was like a cardboard cut out.

I just expected more.

Sam Crescent has done it yet again with a dark and engrossing romance with a killer, Ben and a do-gooder, Joy who find themselves liking the parts of each other that they are not. He, likes her goodness and her curves and she like his dominance and sexy way of handling her. I will admit I got tired of Joy calling him a killer so much but after she found out her so-called friend was a user she starts to understand him (what makes him tick) and fall deeper and deeper in love with Ben until...

Yes there is an until.... Read this one, it will throw you with all its twists and turns and sexual fantasies with the help of Joy's diary... lol

Knew it !!

When I first read the blurb for this book, I said it would be interesting. And it is interesting and more. You've got your killer. He is not too much of an alpha male and he is also not too sinfully dangerous as mafia men are portrayed( I know he is not mafia but he is a contract killer. Not much different in my eyes.) He is ,however , much like the average guy who just happens to like to kill. I like this story. It's different. It's interesting.

Eh..this was okay. Not bad but not the best. I thought there would be more action as Ben is a contract killer but all his 'jobs' were totally glossed over. The story was just about how he fell for Joy, who was super sweet but incredibly naive. She was at the right place but definitely the wrong time.

Killer in him was a good quick story but I felt like most of the action parts were glossed over and the focus was only on the budding romance. I would have likes more details and POV switching to get more of a feel of how they both felt. The story held my interest, but it just wasn't anything too spectacular....a nice one sitting read.
