I actually finished this a while ago and just finished a re-read because I missed Talon and I wanted my review to do the sexy beast justice.
STEPBROTHER ROMANCE BOOK PEOPLE!!! AGAIN!!! By none other than the incredible J.L. Beck! Need I say more?
Talon Reed was one sexy as hell, hot mofo with a filthy ass mouth that I adored! You'll all love him.
The writing style of this author is what will have you reeling. She's so descriptive and you can picture everything she writes so vividly. It was a beautiful read.
And that COVER! HOT!!! #CoverPorn

This is a quick read between two college students who soon find out that their parents (Talon's father and Mia's mother) are getting married. The pacing of the story is good and the male lead is somewhat likable.
What I did like: the humorous tone of the book and the names of each chapter. For example, one chapter was titled Beauty and The Asshole, another titled Holy Vaginal Clenches. I also liked the playful love/hate banter between the two main characters.
What I didn't like: the side characters (beyond the parents) didn't address the weird aspect of Talon lusting after his stepsister, as if it's a normal occurrence or something. There's also a violent scene between Talon and Donovan (side character) that I thought could have been managed differently, but for the sake of creating drama, I understand why that event exists in the book. Also, Talon's POV screams that he was written by a female author and I found it to be too noticeable. At times, Talon refers to himself in the third-person and it was a bit over the top. There are some minor editing issues but it's easy to fill in the blanks and not be a hinderance to completing the story.
This is a taboo book but I wasn't convinced that the nature of Talon and Mia's relationship was authentic or for the long-term. After all, their parents are married and how far will that relationship really go, and what will it ultimately amount to? This is a great book for those interested in a quick taboo read with limited character development and very little back-story.

After much thought, i realized why this book didn't wow me, it wasn't believable. Mia's mom just marries some guy 2 weeks after introducing him to her daughter, sells everything in their house, including her house and moves in with him despite taking into account her daughter's feelings. I understand she has a right to be happy, but how about easing everyone into it. And when she finds out about their relationship, the mother says her daughter is disrespectful and shaming the family!?! What?... -1★
-1★ I know Talon is supposed to be hot, but once a guy thinks of himself as god to all women... he actually becomes less hot. This is what Talon thinks if himself, when left to his own thoughts...“Everyone wanted a piece of Talon f#%kin’ Reed. I was the God of p#ssy eating. I could make a girl come with a wink. My job was to satisfy the female population of Central Heights.” -Really? Your job? I don't think the word 'job' qualifies when your doing it for free. ;) ...but what do i know?
-1★ I didnt like how from the very beginning Mia cant stand, basically hates Talon to death. Why? Chapter after chapter... she hates this, hates that. I mean maybe if i was a miserable fart like her, id hate everyone too. I dont know, it seemed like the author didnt take much time in developing the story and just relied on stepbrother-stepsister sex.
“I ordered a Caramel Macchiato, extra caramel” -Thats just wrong. Who orders extra caramel?! Basic caramel is more than enough caramel! -1★ for stupidity.
-1★ i didnt like it when Talon referred to himself in the third person, which he did a lot. "Talon F#%kin' Reed"
The ending... (-1★) ...wow, what a horrible ending to a luck-laster story. I cant even fathom why the author thought this was how she wanted it to end. Im dumb-struck! 'I don't care what you think mom, if you don't like it, you can leave our lives...' or something of the sort. A lot of whiney babble about throwing her mother out of her life and then a big THE END was slapped on.
I deleted this book so fast from my reader, i think it got whiplash, lol.

Wow, well if you want to read something enjoyable, fresh, naughty and sweet then this story is definitely for you. J.L. Beck rocked it as always creating a short Stepbrother romance story with very lovable characters, the pace was quite fast and the dialogues were steamy and explicit. So yeah it's impossible not to fall in love with this book.
A little about the story and the characters.
Mia never expected that the cocky man that annoys her in the class is about to be her stepbrother and that he won't see him for a couple of hours but she is about to stay with him in the some house and she will have to put up with his b@llsh@t. I loved her "I hate you" but secretly i want to do all the dirty things in the world attitude, she thinks it's a nightmare living with him but deep inside she enjoys it way too much because who doesn't want to see every day a half-naked Talon Reed.....
"Even when i wanted nothing to do with Talon Reed, somehow he weaseled his way into my mind."
Well, well Talon Reed the living fantasy of every woman...he is a bad ass and cocky and arrogant "Do i make you hot? Make you want me as i want you." but in the end it's impossible not to love him. He is a complex character he may be an a@@hole sometimes but that is what he shows to the people, the truth is that he is wounded (i can't say why) and the only way to fight it is to do exactly the opposite things of his personality the only person that affects him deeply is Mia and he can't pretend forever when it comes to her....He definitely enjoys the game of him and Mia playing the cat and mouse and nothing is going to stop him until he makes her his....
"She was more than i ever expected, and more than i deserved."
You have to give this story a try, i'm sure that you won't be disappoint, i can't wait to see what else the author has in store for us until then me and Talon Reed salute you!!!

Wait, what? This is it? No, you're kidding! There should be more. I want to scream and crush my mobile. It's no cliffhanger, but I got nothing with the ending. It was so abrupt, I feel like I blinked and it was done. I am not happy. I need more.
Mia. Her name always found its way into my thoughts, the image of her body and the way her hips swayed when she walked into my memory. She had burrowed in under my skin, taking the pieces of who I was and replacing them with better ones. I wasn’t a good person, or even a decent man until she came along. Hell I was a ways off from being someone worth her time, but I could make the craving to claim her go away. I wasn’t in love with her, but I could be. I was scared of the emotions she brought out in me.
I don't feel like I even got to know the characters enough.
Mia just plain out hated Talon from page 1. I don't know why. It got on my nerves. He was an asshole, but what was your background together? What happened?
We never knew about his mother and the book ended and I stayed clueless.
We didn't learn much about Mia's past either, just the norm and with no much details.
Come on, I need to understand the characters more. Give me something!
There was this sudden shift within the characters and I couldn't even comprehend what happened and suddenly I found THE END!
I felt the connection and chemistry between them, but not the love. They didn't click together. I couldn't feel the passion.
The cover and the title were good additions and on point though.
This was short, but it wasn't sweet.

OMG i love JL Becks book & Stepbrother book and now I have them both together... WHAT??!!! I freaking loved this book. Talon and Mia.. man oh man... They hate each other but yet there is this connection and physical attraction that they fight every chance of the way. Talon is a bad boy and a jerk to everyone including Mia. But what if there is more under the surface that he doesnt show anyone? Can Mia continue to deny Talon. Will she be able to tame him into being a one person man. What happens when they find out their parents are getting married? Gah I wish i could tell you more about this book but it will give it all away. All I can say is you need to read this forbidden book.

4 Crazy Ass Stars!!!!!
Oh Josi, you sure know how to reel me in with these storylines. Forbidden romances are my guilty pleasure. I've read a ton and I have to say that enjoyed this one. The title is perfectly fitting. Filthy is just what this was. Whew, still fanning myself after those hot scenes. *wipes brow*
I enjoyed reading this and in fact devoured it in one sitting. Yup, Talon and Mia had me hooked to their story from the first page.
My only complaint is how it ends. I felt like I needed more of their after story. Other than that, it was a quick, "filthy" read that fed my guilty pleasure. I can't wait to read the next installment.

When I tried to buy this book it had been taken down by Amazon for poor writing and bad editing. It's a shame they let her publish it again. The book was horrific, the sex scenes cringe worthy and I had more than a few laugh out loud moments but I don't think this was meant to be a comedy. I think at this point I'm reading books in kindle unlimited because they're bad I can't help myself. It's like a how to manual of bad writing.

Pretty good read. You know what your getting when you pick up a step brother book but what's did enjoy was that wasn't the focus what killed the book for me was the whole...we hate each other drama that seems to be in every step brother romance....I'm over it.. but this was still steamy and enjoyable

Over inflated view of himself.....but Mia is awesome!
Ewww - convinced he is gods gift, rampaging his way through the steady stream of stupid vapid women in his post code. I did not like Talon Reed and honestly I still don't like him, he has done nothing in my eyes to redeem himself!! Now Mia she was another story, yes she could understand the panty melting feelings she was struggling with but I had to take off my hat to her consistent resistance and the shock on his face to a simple word like NO!!
I cheered when she kneed him in the nuts (wooo hooo) and cheered even more when he dropped. How this arrogant tw@t can even call himself a man is beyond me. Apart from making a serious dent in the world rubber production and probably supporting the annual wealth of Brazil he did absolutely nothing to redeem himself!!

El carácter de la mina me molesto mas que nada, super pendeja histérica maleduca(? la historia es clásica, la fumo, antes de terminarlo tenía una opinión en mente, pero la manera de chuparle tres huevos la opinión de la madre en el desenlace de la "historia"? aguanta flaca, en ningún momento mencionan si tenían una mala relación, hay maneras y maneras, no es el primer libro incestuoso que leo(? y algunos de ellos fueron mis favoritos. Este, muy mal llevado.

Talon is a player. He lost his mother a few years ago and that turned him heartless. He doesn't have any feelings for the women he messes with. Until Mia. Talon hasn't touched mia, but he wants her. Now can't stand him, but her lower body wants him bad. What makes it even worse. Their parents tell them unexpectedly that they are getting married. Can these two cool their true feelings for each other? Or tell the world to F off and see where this goes? Great read.

La misma historia de siempre... mismo problema, misma forma de lidiar con un trauma, a veces hasta parece una historia que nunca termina pero con personajes con distintos nombres. Quizá mata el tiempo, no hay otro motivo para leer esto.

Meu Deus que livro ruim.
Os protagonistas e a mãe da prota tem comportamento passivo-agressivo. Você não sabe porque ela odeia a mãe. Não sabe porque ela odeia tanto do prota. E você não sabe porque o prota se odeia tanto. Enfim, tudo muito superficial e diálogos rasos. Não recomendo nem para um inimigo.

I can count on one hand the amount of step brother/sister books I've read but seeing that this author was taking us to that level I had to stalk the ass off this book..
A super quick enjoyable FILTHY read that will leave you begging for more..Filthy is spoken in Dual POV's (Talon & Mia)..So your privy to how much she professes to hate him and how much he wants to get her under him..
FILTHY starts us off with Talon trying unsuccessfully on numerous occasions to flirt/bed Mia each attempt just seemed to back fire, he was everything she didn't need or want in her life.
Mia stressed to anyone that would listen what she thought of Talon Dick, Asshole, F#cker no matter how many times she tried telling herself this deep down she wanted him, but his whoring reputation kept him at arms length.
I knew an asshole when I met him. That's why the very first time I met talon I knew he was a male chauvinistic pig. The guy you secretly wanted to f#ck but didn't want to hear while doing so.
I hated his guts and I was pretty sure he knew it
No matter how much you want to dislike Talon he never hides the fact that he's a filthy talking sex maniac, when he wants it, it seems like a beer on tap sex is always on the menu until Mia gets under his skin.
Everyone wanted a piece of Talon f#ckin' Reed. I was the God of p#ssy eating. I could make a girl come with a wink. My job was to satisfy the female population of central Heights.
Just when you think Mia's dislike can't go up a level for Talon it does when they are both told by their parents that they will now be step-sibings, their parents had secretly been dating for a year and were now getting married..
He was a sex-wielding addict who had no room for love or a care in the world in his heart, but I didn't want to admit it out loud or even to myself that I kind of still wanted him.
To say that this didn't spike these two's tempers up even more is an understatement..
Mia was devastated and couldn't comprehend that the one person she hated the most in the world, but secretly lusted over, was now going to be her step-brother.
The girl had a hate hard on for me. Nothing I did was good in her eyes, and of course I wanted to screw her about twenty times more because of that hate.
Things that could've taken us on a dark journey was cut short with Talon stepping in and taking things into his own hands, things quickly escalated with these two after that unspeakable night.
Lust became more, dirty filthy sex became a reality.
MY THOUGHTS
The only small gripe with this book that I had was the fact that I get they disliked each other in the very beginning of the book, BUT we're not really given the back ground to why these two were at such logger heads with each other. I think I would've personally connected with Mia and Talon better if I had more background feels when it came to these two.
This wasn't so much a forbidden read because they weren't raised as stepbrother and stepsister,these two had known each other for a year previously before their parents married, so you don't get that taboo feel with the story like I thought I would get going into this.
This does have a YA feel to it until you reach the filthy sex and then that YA feel is thrown out the window because talon is a dirty, filthy talking, bad boy in bed..
Don't get me wrong though above all else I did really enjoy this, I think if it was longer it would've been a 5 star read for sure from me.

I can count on one hand the amount of step brother/sister books I've read but seeing that this author was taking us to that level I had to stalk the ass off this book..
A super quick enjoyable FILTHY read that will leave you begging for more..Filthy is spoken in Dual POV's (Talon & Mia)..So your privy to how much she professes to hate him and how much he wants to get her under him..
FILTHY starts us off with Talon trying unsuccessfully on numerous occasions to flirt/bed Mia each attempt just seemed to back fire, he was everything she didn't need or want in her life.
Mia stressed to anyone that would listen what she thought of Talon Dick, Asshole, F#cker no matter how many times she tried telling herself this deep down she wanted him, but his whoring reputation kept him at arms length.
I knew an asshole when I met him. That's why the very first time I met talon I knew he was a male chauvinistic pig. The guy you secretly wanted to f#ck but didn't want to hear while doing so.I hated his guts and I was pretty sure he knew it
No matter how much you want to dislike Talon he never hides the fact that he's a filthy talking sex maniac, when he wants it, it seems like a beer on tap sex is always on the menu until Mia gets under his skin.

To say that this didn't spike these two's tempers up even more is an understatement..
Mia was devastated and couldn't comprehend that the one person she hated the most in the world, but secretly lusted over, was now going to be her step-brother.
The girl had a hate hard on for me. Nothing I did was good in her eyes, and of course I wanted to screw her about twenty times more because of that hate.Things that could've taken us on a dark journey was cut short with Talon stepping in and taking things into his own hands, things quickly escalated with these two after that unspeakable night.
Lust became more, dirty filthy sex became a reality.
MY THOUGHTS
The only small gripe with this book that I had was the fact that I get they disliked each other in the very beginning of the book, BUT we're not really given the back ground to why these two were at such logger heads with each other. I think I would've personally connected with Mia and Talon better if I had more background feels when it came to these two.
This wasn't so much a forbidden read because they weren't raised as stepbrother and stepsister,these two had known each other for a year previously before their parents married, so you don't get that taboo feel with the story like I thought I would get going into this.
This does have a YA feel to it until you reach the filthy sex and then that YA feel is thrown out the window because talon is a dirty, filthy talking, bad boy in bed..

Es tragicómico cuando lees un libro super bueno e inmediatamente comienzas otro que no es tan... Consiste. Me deja con la duda de si realmente el libro es malo, o mis estándares estaban muy altos.
