Crazy cute!! It was a short super fast read and just what I needed to get me out of a mild case of "the book slump" mood I was in.

Very good conclusion to this series of the TCC. We've seen Mac and Andi in previous books, as Mac was the center of Rafe's revenge plot (A Surprise for the Sheikh). It has been pretty obvious that Andi has a thing for her boss and that Mac is totally oblivious.

Andi has been working for Mac for six years. She is the one who keeps him on track, knows everything about all aspects of the business and his ranch, and keeps his personal life moving smoothly too. She has worked the same hours he has (long ones) and is always on call when he has a question or needs something. She has finally realized that she has no life of her own, and that her dreams of a life with Mac are unlikely to happen. She makes the decision to quit her job and try to move on with her life.

Andi has been such a huge part of his life that he is stunned when she walks into his office and gives him her resignation. He can't believe that she is serious, and attempts to talk her out of it. When that doesn't work, he accepts her request for two weeks vacation before her departure, and hopes that after that two weeks she'll be ready to come back. After two days without Andi at his beck and call, Mac regrets that he took her for granted. Determined to show her that he appreciates her, Mac decides to show up at her house and help her with her long delayed renovations.

What follows is so much fun. Andi is reluctant to let Mac help, fearing that being with him constantly again will weaken her resolve to move on with her life. Mac is equally determined to remind her that they are a great team. What Mac doesn't expect is to see Andi as something more than his right hand man. I loved his surprise at noticing that Andi is a beautiful woman, and how that adds another layer to his desire to get her back to work. Andi decides to treat herself to his company, enjoy it, but resist dreaming that it could lead to more. Now that she has decided that she wants a more balanced life, she is also determined to teach Mac that there is more to life than work. I loved her bargain with him about the phone (how many of us would like to do the same thing with our loved ones?). She was convinced that he couldn't do it, he was determined that he would. His struggle was pretty funny, and I loved seeing how it all played out. His prize of taking her to dinner at the TCC was great, and I loved seeing them together in that setting. What happened next was not unexpected, and put them on a whole new level.

I loved the development of their personal relationship. They knew each other quite well on the work front, but there were still some things to be discovered. Mac had avoided relationships because of the way that business had taken over his life after his parents' deaths. Commitment would just be one more thing in an already overburdened life. I loved seeing Andi show him that it is possible to have a balanced life. Andi has loved him for years, but after watching him go through woman after woman, has no confidence that he would want a lasting relationship with her. She is surprised by his pursuit of her, but certain that it is only one way of getting her to come back to work. She begins to have a little hope as she sees him change, but when business once again interferes with the personal she sends him on his way. As he struggles against admitting his feelings, even to himself, some interference from his sister sends him right back to Andi. The question is, can he admit those feelings and find the happiness he knows he can have with her, or is he going to have to let her go? I loved seeing Andi hold out for what she needs as Mac finally sees the truth.

The epilogue was a nice wrap up for both book and series. I loved seeing the changes in Mac. Andi has gotten everything she could wish for and is ecstatically happy. I also enjoyed seeing the couples from the previous books and how they are doing.

Mac's gotten so used to his assistant Andi being around, that when she announces that she's quitting, he doesn't really believe she means it. Hoping she'll change her mind during her two weeks of vacation prior to her quit date, he shows up unexpectedly at her house as she's working on some home renovations. Her life at work had been so busy, that she'd not had a chance to spend any time fixing up her new home, take a vacation, or any number of things she'd wanted to do. Regretting now that he'd not appreciated her enough, Mac finds that giving her a hand and spending time with her outside of work makes him see her in a different light. But Andi's been a little bit in love with Mac forever, and having finally given up on him, she's ready to move on. Can Mac convince her that his new found feelings aren't just a ruse to get her back to work?

I really enjoyed this story! It's a tried and true formula, but it really worked for me here. Andi comes across as a strong and friendly woman, a competent business partner for Mac, but one who is tired of watching her playboy boss go through a string of women and never seeing her as anything more than a work related asset. And it's true that it takes her leaving for Mac's eyes to be opened to what was right in front of him all this time. Mac's a dedicated businessman with no time for a serious relationship. He's relied on Andi for so much over the years, that when she leaves him he tries to think of ways to convince her to come back. I liked seeing him thrown for a loop by Andi's conviction and determination to go her own way and do something for herself. Plus, he finally sees her as the woman that she is, and not just his 'right hand man'. The chemistry is there, and they share some sexy scenes together. The setting of the story is well written and it was easy to picture Andi and Mac as they struggle to balance their new feelings for each other with their previous working relationship. Mac is the one whose character changes the most over the story, finding that business can sometimes take a back seat to family, friends and new love. As part of the Texas Cattleman's series, there is a sweet epilogue that brings together some of the other characters from other stories. It's my first romance by this author but definitely won't be my last.

For six years Andi has been Mac's Executive assistant. She was good at what she did. Over the past six years she fell in love with her boss. Andi worked long hours and was tired of being taken for granted. Mac's whole world came crashing down, when Andi walked into his office, and quit. She had not taking any time off in two years. So instead of turning in a 2 weeks' notice, she said she was taking her vacation time, before she quit.

I loved the way Mac chased after her. It was sweet. Andi had bought a house 2 years ago. The long hours she worked for Mac, allowed no time, for her to fix up her home. With time on her hands, Andi got busy painting her home. She was surprised when Mac showed up. He got her to agree to his help for 2 weeks. He worked side by side with Andi, fixing up her home. Andi taught him to relax. She also taught him, that he didn't always need to be on his cell phone. His business would run without him.

The chemistry was burning between the two. It took Max awhile to realize that it was love that he felt for Andi. I loved all the ways he tried to convince her to come back to the office. I loved it, that she stood up to him, and kept saying no. No one had ever said no to Max before.

Sweet, slow pace book.

A Bride For The Boss by Maureen Child. Mac McCallum is a very rich man. He owns lots of land and a ranch in Wyoming. Plus the owner of a very big company and getting bigger all the time. He is all into his work. Andi Beaumont has worked for him for 12 years as his main secretary. Mac doesn't think of Andi as anyone but his right hand man. Andi is in love with Mac. Andi quits her job knowing she will never find the love she wants working for Mac. Yes they find this real love that they are both looking for. A good read. Funny at times.

A decent book, a little slow paced for me. It took a long while for Mac to realize that his work enjoyment was heavily influenced by Andi's presence. I did like the characters and the plot was good. I did have a few pet peeves-

This was a great read. So much better than the other book I read in the series. I loved the characters. Both Andi and Mac. It is part of a series but I only read one other book in the series and this is easily a stand alone book. It was real life because men are usually clueless as to the love of their lives as Mac was with Andi. I liked this author a lot.

Always a good story from Maureen Child. Who comes up with the titles and covers, though? The title makes it sounds like Mac was looking for a wife, which wasn't true. And the cover? Andi wasn't pregnant. (Until the epilogue.) But a good light read. I didn't read the others in the series.

Did not like it. Don't love books about working together for years before the hero notices heroine (don't like the vast amount of other women hero was with in the 6 years). As for books plot I found it boring and nothing special about hero and heroine. P.

I liked...

The characters. The story was your basic Harlequin romance. I'm going to get more by the author. I also will get more of this series.

A Bride for the Boss is a great book. Andi is Mac's personal assistant and right hand when it comes to business. All he sees is work and not the woman. Andi has fallen in love with her boss and has decided to quit her job since she can't have him. Mac panics and goes on a mission to persuade Andi to change her mind but away from the office Mac sees what he has been missing all along and now must convince Andi that they belong together, not just at work.

Ok.

Nice but predictable. Enjoyable light read to while away a couple of hours, nothing to heat the blood or keep you guessing.
