He's Still B.A.E.: A B.A.E. Spin-off
Just when you thought a good thing ended, another thing popped right back up. Essence is dealing with becoming a first time mother, figuring things out with Kamari and being the VP of Fufi’s spa. All she wants to do is be a good mother but, with not having much experience, she battles with her insecurities of motherhood. When things are going good, something always has to pop in and that is Sept. Sept is still on the path of destruction and doesn’t see it ending anytime soon. Will Essence go against her relationship and help Sept out or will she learn you can’t help someone that doesn’t want to help themselves?
Tammy is smitten with her new bundle of joy. She has her baby girls and her prince. Along with her King, Latrell, she feels like things are just starting to look up for her. Except her mother is moving back to the city and with Big Mama having a new man, where does that leave her mama? Tammy has been dealing with her demons when it comes to her mother, but is she ready to have her under the same roof? When dealing with the death of Rick is finally becoming easier, someone pops up and turns her whole world upside down. What will Tammy do when she realizes that Rick is still in the picture?

While trying to show everyone that she’s not the little girl on the popular sitcom, she runs into Ace, a producer with a whole lot to prove. While, at first, she wants nothing to do with him, she gives him another chance and falls for him. Instead of jumping head first in a relationship, they develop a friendship but both of them want to be more to each other. Will she still become involved after learning of Ace’s situation?
Ace and his high school sweetheart share two children. Their relationship has been done for a while but Lesha, his kids’ mother, wants to continue the act for the kids and her family. Never being one to tell Lesha no, Ace goes along with it. That's until he meets Avon and falls head over heels for her. Knowing he can't continue to live under the same roof with Lesha while pursuing Avon, he takes the steps to move out. Once he moves out, a whole sequence of events happen and leaves him debating weather or not he will end up with B.A.E after all.

He’s Still B.A.E had me side-eying everybody, gasping out loud, and ready to square up on behalf of fictional characters. Just when I thought the dust had settled BOOM, she hit us with more lies, more secrets, and more "WTF" moments than I was emotionally prepared for.
Jahquel said “Oh, you thought it was over?” and hit us with baby mama drama, grief ghosts, baby daddy chaos, AND romantic confusion all in the same breath. And I was here for EVERY. SINGLE. PAGE.
✨ Essence? A new mama juggling life, love, and that no good Sept with the chaos magnet energy.
✨ Tammy? Baby girl’s tryna enjoy her little fairytale, but Rick said, “Surprise, I ain’t done!”
✨ Avon & Ace? Listen the slow burn, the tension, the messy ex still living at home?! Be so serious, my heart was tap dancing the entire time.
Nobody’s peace was safe.
Every chapter was a new plot twist and every character had me yelling “NOOOO” or “YESSSS” like I was ringside at a toxic love match.

OMG what the heck
Tammy has been thru so much with losing her husband and now finding out her deceased husband has a eight year old son. Essence is going thru it with her baby father and his convincing mother who secretly done a paternity test on the daughter behind her back. Essence is secretly going to see her ex-boyfriend Sept who has overdosed on drugs twice. Monett and Hakeem are still engage and trying to make it work. The newest character Avon child actress has step on the scene and she got Ace the hit maker and father of two nose wide open. Ishea is Ace children mother want to try to make it work when happiness is gone will she accept this and move on with her life. Latrell wants to make Tammy his wife she not ready yet.

This just got real
The couple in this spin off are turned up at just the right notch. Avon is young but she's not dumb. I like that she not playing into side chick role. Isha has to find a clue, what she has is over with, even Amerie know when the happiness is not there. Everybody is going through something. Essence has 2 battles to fight, and looks like she's losing both. Honey was just file and Kamari was no better. Tammy is still a loose month cannon, he and Latrell still fuss like they not together. The story is a page turner, full of love, trials, sex and life decisions. Tammy just got the shock her life, ans I'm headed to part 2, just see her go the hell off.

I need part 2.....
I love the B.A.E series and this spinoff picked right back up. I hope Essence and Kamari can work though they differences and get back right. Tammy is still a pistol and crazy as ever. Glad to know Moet & Zane still doing they thing. I feel so bad for Ace his babymama is a mess and needs to just move on. Hopefully in part 2 she figures it out. I can't believe Rick had a 8 year old son, patiently waiting to see how that comes out with Tammy. Big Mama even doing her thing in the book, this is a must read series and I couldn't put it down

Once I started reading, I couldn't stop til the end! Tammy is the truth! I love her! Kamari moms needs to be slapped! Ace needs to be done with Iesha selfish self. She did it to herself. That's all I'm gonna say about this book for now. I don't want to spill the tea for those who haven't read it. I'm so looking forward to part 2. I must ask, when are you releasing "All I want is a real one 2"? I That's another of your many banger books that I'm waiting on. You never disappoint. You're a damn good writer!

I loved it. I loved it . I loved it. Tammy is hilarious and just don't care. I hope everything works out for her. Kam should have put a stop to his mother's ways if he had faith in Essence. Avon and Ace I want it to work out for them. Moet and Zay still rocking it. Hakeem and Monet working on their relationship and happy she finally found herself. Waiting for the next book to drop

OMG this book was everything Jahquel J you are an amazing writer, the end had me like WOW I cannot believe this.It's crazy because Tammy went through so much and it's like it's never ending trials and tribulations for her. I hope Ace and Avon get it together and Essence and Khamari need to get it together also but Mari need to check his momma. Part 2 is needed ASAP

I really enjoyed this spin off. I love Tammy but of course who wouldn't. Essence maintained her composure really well with Kamari mother because I would have slapped her. I hope she works things out with Kamari. I'm also hoping things work out with Avon and Ace. Iesha needs to move on and let Ace go. Looking forward to part 2.

Good book
I gave this book three stars because even though I enjoyed it some of the characters were hard to follow.
The book introduced Sept but didn't say enough about him to get the reader interested in the relationship between he and Essence.It would also be interesting to know how Ricky died. I can't wait to find out what happens to Iesha and her family!

Great spinoff
I love getting to catch up with old friends and meeting new ones. I love Avon and how she’s not taking any meds from Ace. She’s not trying to deal with him and baby mama issues. Tammy better marry Latrell, he’s a good man. That bombshell about Rich had my jaw drop. Kamari and his mom can go F themselves. I wouldn’t accept any apologies.

This book had me hooked I can't wait to read part 2! It was good getting caught up with Moet, Tammy, Essense, Zyair, Latrell getting to know Ace and Avon! Waiting to see how everything is going to unfold!

Must Read!!!!!
Omg im still in love with all the old characters.The new characters are fun and some are trifling and ratchet.I definitely dont like Honey nor Iesha asses.I cant believe that ending,I know Tammy is gonna flip her wig when she goes to that hospial.
