The story was great as usual however this one was interesting because of the art style switch up and telling 2 stories in 1 I thought that waskinda cool. I am excited to see what 26 holds. I like each issue you never know what they are facing and what danger lay ahead and each one is thrilling and exciting great series all around
This has kick-ass female characters, a unique and vibrant art style, and makes for a cool opening to the series with a collection of supernatural adversaries for the 5ish LumberJanes to battle against. The development sketches and stylized character drawings at the end is also a really nice finishing touch. Keep an eye out for all the other works done by this collection of talented young artists and writers, as their works include Nimona, Bravest Warriors, She-Ra and Moonstruck.
I read this issue as a stand-alone since I can't yet get my hands on the next volume. It feels like it is aimed at a younger audience than the first ones - which is fine by me. The magical kitten issue has not been resolved. I'm sure it will resurface. The second story line turned the myth of the siren on its head in terms of gender. There was not much in the way of character development.
The camp is being visited by the High Council. They are coming to evaluate the counselors, so, naturally, Jen freaks out. She asks the Roanoke cabin (Jo, April, Ripley, Mal, and Molly) to not do any crazy supernatural stuff. The adventures in this book also include Barney, from the Scouting Lads camp, and Hes, from the Zodiac cabin.
Since I couldn't wait for Volume 7 to come into the library, I am now reading single issues at a time and it's killing me! But I love my Lumberjanes, so whatever is takes, I'll do.
Just when I got used to the other artist, the old artist returns. Suddenly there is a cat problem. A mystical cat problem. A Seriously funny cat problem. But this issue ends abrubtly and there is another story following it with a guest artist who I don’t think is very good. I only skimmed the second story but from what I did read it was good. However the usual shenanigans which makes Lumberjanes so completely kick ass were missing. Over all a good issue. I’ll still give this 5 stars. But I want more of the possessed kitties story line!

Characters for my reference
April- Short red head girl Jen- dark skinned camp counselor Jo- tall kid Mal: Dark haired girl with half shaved head Molly: Blond haired girl Ripley: Short brunet with headband around her head and blue streak in hair Rosie- head of camp. Constantly calls Jen Jane. Very cool. Diane- girl from another cabin at the camp, black hair Apparently the sister of Jo. Bubbles- Molly’s raccoon hat who happens to be a live raccoon Barney- Boy from boys camp that they run into a lot
This was a great special 25th issue! Obviously I love any storyline involving kittens, and I also enjoyed the short by Clugston Flores (although I feel like it needed an introduction page?). Also I am v. v. excited for Lumberjanes/Gotham Academy crossover!
MARAVILLOSO. Un issue genial. Muy divertido y super adorable (Gatos super monos *_*). El arco argumental empieza con muy buena pinta. Y la historieta extra con mitología griega <3
Crazy magical kitten storyline? Sign me up. Also thoroughly enjoyed the short at the end of this extended issue! April is getting a lot of attention and development lately, and I'm all for it.
