At the club he meets Kristian, but will their encounter last longer than a few moments when Kristian gets the wrong idea, and thinks he’s being made to look a fool.

Carl and Kristian need to meet again!
This short story is exactly why I very rarely read short stories -- I want more! This is my first read by this author and I'll read more. Maybe I'll be happily surprised to find these characters in a full-length novel., and, if not, then I hope to read more about the Cherry Bomb! The club setting has great potential for more stories. (My imagination is stoked! Can't say more without giving away this story's ending.)

Cherry Bomb is a nice "first meeting" tale. I liked both the characters, but I would have welcomed some further development of their relationship. Perhaps there's a sequel here....
