Far Beyond a Promise Kept

Rate this book
Snape never wanted anyone to know of his promise to Dumbledore, but has realised that he can protect Potter much better by taking a less passive role in the boy's training. Actually liking Harry Potter has never been part of his plan. mentor/guardian.

200/10. I literally remember when this fic was coming out on .net (I think?). I totally forgot some of them were on good reads. Anyways, one of my absolute favorites for Harry Potter. It’s not true severitus but it also is not too OOC, in other words very hard to find nowadays. If these words mean nothing to you, congrats you have a life (but is it one worth living??? ). I literally devour anything this author puts out. Definitely no romance (bc ew) but if you desire found family in strange places this is for you! Now I know to add fics to my tbr…

I really like this fanfiction.
It is not groundbreaking, and it is certainly not flawless. But it has a charm to it that I couldn't find in similar works, even from this author.
I like this theme, So I recommend this book to every fanfiction reader who likes Snape.

Just done a quick re read skim to remind myself.

A really well told story that kept Snape in character, while letting us see his human side.

A well thought out take on how things could of gone.
