Who is the female main character?
This isn’t your typical damsel-in-distress story. Lexi is like a cross between Tomb Raider’s Lara Croft and Letty from The Fast & the Furious. She is cunning and street-smart and is not to be underestimated.


Who is the male main character?
He’s a hottie--muscle-bound, smooth-talking. He’s trouble.


Is this a series or stand-alone?
This is the first book in the Love of Thieves series. I’m a huge fan of family sagas, so put your seat belt on, you're going on a long roller coaster ride.


What is the steam level?
It’s all the way. Super caliente, mind-blowing sex.


What type of book can a reader expect?
This is a BWWM (black women, white men) interracial romance for your e-reader, with a hint of humor and a satisfying ending. It's suspenseful, sexy, and contains some really cool fight scenes.

So often in romance stories you get a heroine that plays the damsel in distress role. She has her own but she plays weak when it comes to the hero. This is not the case in Blue Davis book Mint. Lexi is strong and very stubborn. She is a thief with ambition ( I had to chuckle at that). On her latest heist she is going for the lesser known pirate Black Caesar’s gold. The only thing is that she is in Haiti and being a woman no one will help her. Lexi has to swallow her pride and call upon the one man who makes her heart flutter. She has essentially resigned herself to b.o.b. but that can only get a girl so far.

James is the competition. These two for 10 years have been trying to avoid a chemistry that just won’t go away. Lexi unlike the many other women in his life doesn’t fall all over him and give him whatever he wants. A part of James likes the chase but it’s been way too long. He gets the call and like the true “gentlemen” he is resigns to help Lexi.

When these two get together it’s like a force of nature. This book is full of action and adventure. I wouldn’t say it’s heavy on the romance but has just enough spice to keep the reader interested. Please judge this book for yourselves and not based on this one review.

Lexi is a good jewel thief, always looking for the next big find. She is simple in her ways, but gets the job done. So it comes to no surprise when she is off to Haiti to find a long lost treasure. The problem is Haiti isn’t the place for women, or innocent people. This is a country with much poverty, pirates, and no respect for women. So when Lexi tries to rent a boat, and is unsuccessful, she must call in a favor.

James is a rich, good looking thief, who is used to getting what he wants. He loves the thrill of the chase, but doesn’t mind doing it in luxury. He has been associates with Lexi for years, and has always had a thing for her. So when she calls him for help, he drops everything and goes to help out.

This was a good story full of suspense, and a little love.

Good book!

I loved the storyline, it was different. Loved James, he was so determined to get Lexi. First book that I've read by this author, it won't be the last. Enjoyed this book.

This was my first time reading anything by Blue Davis and I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed this sweet story. Blue Davis has given us a story that will grab you and hold you in it's pages from start to finish ,and then will leave us wanting more from this author. Lexi is a very strong minded woman ,but the pain that she has ,you can almost feel it well your reading this story.,specially when she in Haiti .James is quite a playboy, who's sexy there mwould ust be something there if she considers him as a friend ,if she can just call him to help her to get out of trouble. James and Lexi are both thieves that seem to be looking for the some treasures.They both work alone and they usually like to out do the other, but for one special job their decide to partner up .But their quite world opens into shootouts and fights. But soon they end up having a sexually relationship ,but as it continues James finds himself in love with Lexi, but will Lexi be able to get over her past hurt ,and will she be able to let James love her. I find this story wasn't predictable and the characters were amazing and very well written ,and Blue Davis has given us one great story that didn't give to much information away for the characters. The relationship between the two main characters was sweet, sexy, funny and loving which was all in one package. I could tell you more about this great story ,but that would spoil it for you.I highly recommend that you read this sweet story ,you won't be disappointed.

Hands down, this is the best book by Blue Davis!
I was hooked from page one. First Lexi is a strong and independent woman on her own in a foreign country hunting treasure. She is determined to accomplish what she set out to do. You cannot help, but love this leading female.
James oozes sex appeal and the sexual tension between he and Lexi burns up the pages. I was dying as I waited for their first kiss and once it happened, there was no turning back. The sex…WOW…HOT HOT AND HOT!
I ate this book up and read it in a day. I had a toddler climbing all over me, but I refused to put this book down.
You won’t be disappointed when you buy this book. I love the treasure hunting element to the book, it kept the storyline fresh. There are twists and turns that leave you gasping for air, this is one of the best books I’ve read all year. I cannot wait to get my hands on the upcoming books in the saga.

This story has a big beautiful black women who doesn't need a man to find her treasure, but he might make things a little easier. Lexi calls in hottie playboy millionaire James to help her get a boat in Haiti so she can find bared treasure. The story has a lot of twists and turns which make for an interesting read. I personally had a hard time getting into the story. It had a very slow but steady pass, and I'll the chemistry between the two main characters was very evident it seemed like forever before they were gonna get to it! So many times I was wondering what was gonna happen next. Maybe I need to try rereading it again, it just might not of been the best choice to get over a book binge. Writing was great, just couldn't get sucks in. I'd still give it 3.5 stars.

Lexi is such a strong minded woman and I can feel her pain at the start of the story when she feels scared in Haiti.

James is sexy, but a playboy, but there has to be something there for her to consider him such a good friend to be able to ring him to help her get out trouble.

I like their playful banter and then when he realises she doesn’t like him being cocky and self assured, I love the way they interact together.

This story reminded me of the movie “Fools Gold” and I really enjoyed reading it. I was trying to second guess all the way through and I was fooled a few times.

I really enjoyed this book, I was given it in exchange for an honest review and I would give it 5 pink stars
