3.5 for this quick read.

This one sees Liberty,an inspiring model who just moved to New York, run into Stephen Devereux who also has just moved to the city.

Liberty, who is waitressing for the time being, runs into trouble with a top business man when Stephen intervenes and helps Liberty out of a tricky situation, after helping her with that situation he then offers to help her with her modelling career. Stephen has recently become a budding photographer. So when they get on more than expected, Liberty and Stephens relationship grows despite them being on the opposite ends of the financial spectrum, with Stephen recently becoming very rich.

In the short novella there is a lot squeezed in with a bit of everything, I received this book in return for my honest opinion.

Capturing Liberty by D.G. Whisky is a short, well-written story of fate and circumstances. The hero and heroine have a chemistry that leaps off the page. The physical attraction between them is HOT and you can't wait to see if anything will come of it. Looking forward to reading more.

Oh let's see, where to start. This was a quick, short novella that introduces us to the Devereux brothers. Well, at least 2 of them. I did enjoy the overall story, even though I felt like it was rushed. I understood that it had to be since it was a novella, and it did leave me wanting to know more about these mysterious brothers. And I did enjoy the premise of the book, also. What I had a hard time dealing with was the female, Liberty. She wasn't so much unlikable but ignorant in a way that was just frustrating. She had a lot of internal debate about things that should have been no-brainers. But, I understand that it had to be that way in order for the story to play out. She was working a job that wasn't really what she wanted to do. She had been trying to break into the industry on her own since she moved to New York. Then she meets this perfect guy who can pretty much make things happen for her, but she is intent on making it on her own. I get it. I wouldn't want to be indebted to anyone either. What I couldn't reconcile were the immensely stupid decisions she continued to make. For instance, trusting a guy to get her a photo shoot as an apology for assaulting and man-handling her the night before. Stupid, stupid, stupid! Even I knew there was something not right about that! But, it was essential to where the story was headed. I look forward to reading more about these brothers and where exactly these guys came from!

Received this complimentary arc copy from the author for an honest review.
When Liberty Tilset first meets Stephen Devereux, he is literally her knight in shining armour. Working in a bar as a waitress, she comes across sleazy Paul who feels like he can grope her whenever he wants. He helps get rid of him.

This is a story of two people meeting one night through circumstance. Enjoying each other's company and sharing life's ambitions. The chemistry and sex between them is hot, hot, hot. Then fate takes a hand again and Liberty is taken on a frightening journey, all because of her dreams in life. So trusting, so loving and so frightened. Does she realise how Stephen cares for her. But even he has secrets that only he and his brothers know. Still want to find out more about that.
All in all a story that kept me guessing, will she won't he. What is their future. Then when the pace quickens up, a plot that leaves you thinking "oh wow, never saw that" . Really enjoyed it. Love to read more about them.
Well done D.G.

Liberty is a waitress and has a chance meeting Stephen a mysterious man with lots of money when he rescues her from a bar creep. Liberty wants to be a model and Stephen enjoys photography. Stephen offers Liberty a chance of a life time by snagging her a photo shoot for a designer friend. Things start to heat up between these two fast. Their chemistry is undeniable. As they start to see each other more, their feelings intensify. Liberty is the kind of girl that doesn't listen to her inner voice, when something doesn't feel right you shouldn't do it. Liberty makes a bad decision and pays the consequences. Will Stephen save Liberty? Will these two have their happily ever after? This was a short and sexy read that keeps you hooked. I can't wait to read more from D.G. Whiskey.

This was another short, sexy novella that deals with a girl who is taken advantage of by a violent stranger...a wolf in sheep's clothing...and due to her naivety becomes a victim of a trafficker barely escaping. A sexy strong man that she meets in her bar the night she encounters this bad guy, becomes her lover and savior all at once and although the story was entertaining, it all happened way too fast and the ending/rescue was very fast and too neatly tied up to be realistic.
I have enjoyed many of this author's books in the past and will read more...this one just fell a little short for me and seemed too far-fetched to be anything but a fantasy.

Capturing Liberty is the story of Liberty and Stephen. They met at a bar where Liberty is working as a waitress, and Stephen saves her from the rough advances of a patron. Liberty has aspirations of being a model, and Stephen offers to take better pictures of her when he walks her home. A relationship develops from there, and Stephen even gets her a modeling spread. My frustrations are with Liberty though, if a guy is a prick to you in a bar and tries to assault you why would you believe that he honestly wants to offer you a modeling job? She did, and yep you guessed it. It wasn't a job. Liberty ends up drugged. Can Stephen save her in time?

My Review of Capturing Liberty by DG. Whiskey
My Rating 3.5 Stars
Get ready for The Devereux brothers, and Liberty is a fun exciting heroine who really wants to make it in modeling, which is one of the reasons she makes a stupid mistake and has to work her way back to the man Stephen Devereux her knight in shining armor literally.
I found this story to be a fast paced quick read. Well written and a fun storyline. But did fall a bit short for me, as I felt the storyline was slightly rushed and everything happened to quickly and not very realistic. I have read many from this author and will continue.

What a nice surprise this book was. From the very first page I was addicted. Stephen and Liberty met and oh my goodness, let the hotness begin. There was intrigue, drama, action and a lotta juicy lovin. The book had me totally enthralled and mesmerised from the very start. This author and her ability to captivate her audience is simply brilliant. I was unaware of what was going on around me as I read this story, as I was entirely wrapped up in Liberty and Stephen. This is a book you can read to truly escape from reality, for that little of slice true love and HEA.

Capturing Liberty by D.G. Whisky is a short but very well written story of fate and destiny. I really enjoyed reading about Stephen and Liberty and wanted more about the Devereux brothers. I have read Taking Flight, were we first met Stephen and Liberty. She's a small town girl in big city is rescue by sexy rich guy in a bar fight. Is Stephen really too good to be her knight in sexy armor? I look forward to reading more about these sexy brothers.

I already read this book back in November when it came out in an anthology! I enjoyed it then and I enjoyed it now. I loved the Stephen character. He seemd layed back and easy going even when he came into a huge amount of money! Liberty was a bit idiot on when it came to Paul! I was shouting at her in my head to listen to her instinct but she just ignored it so what happened to her was partly her own fault.
Other than that this was a good quick read.
Look forward to reading more by D G Whiskey!

I dove into reading this without reading the summary, and that turned out to be a good thing!! I had tried out Taking Flight before, and couldn't get into the story. I didn't realize that this was of the same series, and it was great that I didn't have preconceived notions going in. As it turned out, I really enjoyed this one! I loved the play between the two characters. It was a bit outlandish in the plot, but that works in a romance novel. It intrigued me enough that I am going to revisit the second book - I want to know what the secret is!!!

This is a short, fast story of Liberty and Stephen who meet when he arrives as her hero.
The chemistry between them is sizzling.
Liberty is drugged and kidnapped from a modeling job which is a lot more evil that she could imagine.
Will she be saved again???
I really enjoyed this book, it flowed well and the characters had depth and you'll want to know more about them.

This was a novella so a pretty quick read. As a result we don't really get an in depth story or overly developed characters. That being said, it was a quick, sexy read with an interesting plot line.

She works a crappy job, he comes in and is her sexy saviour. Not only does Stephen rescue Liberty from a jerk of a customer, he helps her modelling dreams come true. It's a sweet and sexy look into their lives and an introduction to the Devereux brothers. D.G. Whiskey spins a darn good story.

Unfortunately, I didn't really enjoy this one very much. I found it rushed and some parts were unrealistic.
