A two years old ordinary cat travels through time to become a thousand years old demon cat Hua Miao Miao.
Little Miao Miao doesn’t understand the complications of life, still acting like an ordinary cat.
Unexpectedly, Hua Miao Miao meets Bi Qing Shen Jun, a warrior god who looks like her previous owner, and is tricked by him to go to the heavens to become his disciple.
Under the tutelage of shifu Bi Qing Shen Jun, after going through numerous painful challenges, little Miao Miao finally understands what it means to be a “cat.”
Can’t undress in front of other people, except shifu. Can’t elope with other men, except shifu. Can’t hug or kiss other people, except shifu. Can’t accept roses from Xiao Tian Quan, except given by shifu. Can’t go to Underwater Third Prince’s place to eat fish, except cooked by shifu. Uh…… what else?
Not allowed to go to a brothel to earn money? Not allowed to cause chaos or accept proposals?
Meow~ I don’t remember…… Shifu, don’t be angry.
All right, I’ll remember clearly in the future, please don’t eat me!
this is a 3.5. this honestly would have been a five but there were quite a few things that i disliked. weirdly none of them had to do with the plot. so i’ll say what i didn’t like and it could also be considered a trigger warning list. i like don’t kno if it was the translator but there was one instance of someone saying the t slur.. since it’s historical times (ig?) there was one instance of mild homophobia (specifically a girl fell in love with a guy dressed like a woman and thought she was a lesbian and made some mild homophobic remarks like how could i be a lesbian i thought i was normal) then later on a character called themselves a fujoshi (which idk if i have to explain to u why that’s gross or not but you can google it) there was also a sexual encounter that had very nonconsensual vibes but then later on the character said that since she’s a cat it’s her natural reaction to resist and that it didn’t mean rape. but there is an attempted rape as well. that’s all i can remember at the moment if i remember more i’ll add it.
i really liked part one.. it was very lighthearted and funny. during part two i got bored a little bit (the reincarnation arc). part three i liked bc i thought it was really interesting how they went to modern times. this book had a lot of potential, the concept is very unique and the beginning half was a lot of fun. but i will say that the ending was a little bit unsatisfying and cliche. there were also things that didn’t get wrapped up well.
tldr: the novel had a lot of shit that i thought was fucked up but the parts that weren’t fucked up i liked.

Review for Part 1: I enjoyed this funny story of a cat who becomes a human. It was witty and whimsical. This story line is not for children, rather it is an adult tale. It was touching at times but somewhat typical of some of the genre of silly females in this field. I have dropped part 2 as I find it annoying. Let me explain in Part 1 the FL was learning and growing. So far in Part 2 she had been extremely dense. It is no longer cute and I do not see her growing. As I said I dropped part 2. I may pick it up and give it a chance in the future as there is a Part 3. We will see.
