"Don't f*ck the case lead." If that's a rule in the detective handbook, I'm SCREWED.
Eight years ago, Hunter wasn't exactly the type of boy you brought home. Rough and rugged, his fresh leather jacket only made him look even more dangerous. Didn't help that he knew how to make that motorcycle between his muscular thighs purr. And that wasn't the only huge thing drawing my attention... I thought he was out of my life forever, but I was wrong... and this time, we're on opposite sides of the law.
Me, the fresh new detective, hunting down a missing girls case. And Hunter... the rock-hard biker president of a notorious motorcycle club.
He just turned up in the case file... and he might be my only help. Is this a chance to fix everything and set it all right again? If I get swept into this life, there's no turning back…
Saved by the Bad Boy is a full length romantic suspense, and comes with free bonus content from Nikki Wild for a limited time.
If you're into bad boys with a sweet side, this book is just for you.
Sarah was the Sheriff's daughter, so you can imagine that having a boyfriend who was part of a motorcycle club was not good. She thought that their relationship was stronger than whatever life could throw at them but after one night everything Sarah and Hunter had was over.
Eight years later, Sarah is sure she'll never see Hunter again. She's a detective now and needs to prove to every man in the force she's just as good. But her boss hates her and sends her on an impossible missing girls case that puts Hunter right in front of her.
Saved by the Bad Boy grabs your attention from the start. What starts like a rebellious act from Sarah soon turns into more. She's in love with Hunter and you can see it when they talk and how they protect each other, she's trying to help him and keep them together. And their chemistry is of the charts!
Eight years later and that fire they had is still there. And is not just their bodies remembering, they can work as a team perfectly.
Hunter hasn't changed even though he now leads the club. He's still looking for justice, he just learned at a young age that sometimes that didn't come from the police. So he does his best and leads his club and neighbors the best he can. He's been looking for those girls, and others, longer than the police and won't give up until he brings them home.
I enjoyed the relationship between Sarah and Hunter. Their past made it easy to see their connection and make it believeable. The way they were described, in tones of grey instead of making them completely good or bad added another dimension to the story, I mean the club lead some illegal dealings but also protected their people while Sarah was willing to bend and break rules to get the girls back.
Nikki Wild introduces a nice world that I'm intrigued with. The book does end with a cliffhanger, just so you know, Sarah and Hunter's story isn't over.
Saved By The Bad Boy, the first book in The Devil's Dragons MC series, was a quick read. I found it to be from a single character POV, Sarah, who is the daughter of the local Sheriff. The author begins this story quickly from Sarah's thoughts and memories of high school and for her love of Hunter, the bad boy in this installment. They are separated early on, after a police raid is commenced while Sarah is with Hunter at the MC his is a part of; the characters do not reunite until eight years later. He has become the President of the MC and she has been promoted to Detective with the Police Force. They combine forces in order to locate and rescue young women who are kidnapped by a Mexican cartel with intentions of human trafficking. This story left me disconnected from the characters and mildly disappointed. I was able to read this book in one day and felt like I was reading a news report instead of a heartfelt, suspenseful, dramatic novel. The storyline was captivating enough to read to the end, which ended up closing on a cliffhanger, yet it just lacks in so many ways throughout. I honestly was able to skim over so much in attempts to move forward. The explicit areas were reminiscent of the entire book. Lacking. Maybe it was just me, but I am baffled by the high ratings this has received on Amazon and wish it just had more; suppose if I continue with the next installment, I will be find the missing links...
I actually finished this in one sitting; what a fantastic & captivating story and now I cannot wait to read the next 2 in the series. I will remember this story for a long time, the characters were superbly written and easy to fall in love with their passion for life. Hunter, was a uniquely written character who starts out as somewhat of a cocky young man new to the MC lifestyle but surprises happen around every corner, very pleased with how he grew within the story. Sarah, was a surprise too and the fact that she excelled out of her bratty stage was a cool surprise. Thrills, chills, grit, edge, violence, retribution, revenge and love with steamy & sizzling scenes make this story an awesome ride.
Wow. This was William Wallace in leather and on a motorbike
There was a good plot here. But the whole "Braveheart" dialogue ruined it completely. It was so unbelievable it started to become a comedy, for me. I liked the heroine in a strong position but the author turned her into a bit of a useless bimbo. The hero was great until he started to sound like William Wallace leading his mem to "victory" I liked how there was no staged angst between H/h. They pretty much picked up where they left off. But everything else (although written well) was very unrealistic. And why add the pregnancy onto the blurb when its only mentioned on the very last line. I hated the epilogue.
What a captivating story, I thoroughly enjoyed reading this. At first I thought it was going to be just the average good girl, daughter of a sheriff falls in love with the bad boy who her father would very much disprove of but it was a lot more than that. I really liked the characters and the development between Sarah and Hunter and how they found each other after 8 years. It's packed with action, crime and bikers. I will be picking up the next one in this series, Nikki Wild really knows how to keep you guessing and how to keep you reading. A really great book.
I liked that this wasn't the typical girl falls for bad boy biker and leaves everything behind for him. The story unfolds and you realize there is more to the biker boyfriend than you would originally think. Well thought out characters and great story plot. Read in one sitting.
Loved this first book in the Devils Dragons MC series. Well developed characters and storyline. Loved the plot twists and the second chance romance between Hunter and Sarah. Totally recommend it 🔥😍🔥
This book hit all my wants in a romance. It has heart, humor, heat and suspense. This is a second chance romance with every thing.I would recommend this book to anyone who wants a romance with everything.
I really liked the storyline and the characters of Hunter and Sarah's story it pull me in and I couldn't put it down . I'm looking forward the next book on this MC.
This was a quick read. Hoping next book is a little more deep. Some sex seems didn't flow with the story. Easy to follow with likable characters but I wanted mor passion and back story.
This was an amazing book from Nikki Wild. Hunter is the ultimate teenage bad boy who joins the local MC after his sister is kidnapped and almost sold into sex slavery. The MC helped him locate and save his sister therefore he is indebted to them. His girlfriend Sarah likes to play with fire. Her dad is a cop and he doesn't like Hunter or bikers. Things go down and it causes Hunter and Sarah to separate. The story picks up 8 years later as Sarah is now a detective and Hunter is now the president of the Devil's Dragons. When Sarah gets a case that involves some local missing cheerleaders, she runs to the one person she knows she can count on that may have inside info pertaining to the case. As Hunter and Sarah work together to bring down a cartel that specializes kidnapping girls and forcing them into sex slavery, they pick up right where they left off. They still have unresolved feelings for each other. Will they find these missing girls? Will they be able to bring down this notorious cartel? Will Sarah choose her career over her rekindled romance with Hunter? This was action-packed. I couldn't put this book down. Sex, bad boy bikers, rivalries, trafficking and snitches. This was one sexy MC book that kept me on the edge of my seat and I can't wait to read what happens next.
This is a second chance romance with a hunky bad boy biker and the cop who loves him-and might have to put him in jail.
The romance part of the book is great, but the law enforcement and crime solving story lines have problems. However, this is a romance, not a crime novel, and the romance works.
I love that Hunter and Sarah know each other from the start. They were in love as kids but were torn apart by circumstances out of their control. The relationship between Hunter and Sarah is the best part. They’re great together and really heat up the pages.
There’s a willing suspension of disbelief with the non-romance parts, particularly law enforcement procedures. A lot of the things that Sarah does are unconstitutional and would be a get out of jail free card. I also don’t think that MC clubs cooperate like that.
I was given this book in exchange for an honest review.
Nikki Wild does it again with another great book. I, in fact, stayed up to finish reading it until the wee hours of the morning because I just couldn't put it down. Sarah, one of the main characters, is a good girl trying to act bad and Hunter is a Hot, Hot bad boy who is Sarah's boyfriend. There is some twists and turns through out this book. I just loved the last sentence it was a zinger. I am hoping that we hear more about Grizz, Hunter's 2nd in command, who I have to say is also Hot, and Elmira, the bartender, who doesn't like Sarah, in future books by Ms. Wild. I would recommend this book to anyone.
Saved by the Bad boy was an OUTSTANDING 4 if not a 5!! I couldn't stop reading this story. The suspense & adventure was GREAT!! I loved the surprise at the end the most, I think. I'm also one of those that believes in listening to your gut instincts. Whether you loose your promising career or not. At least the Detective was able to find a suitable alternative. She did a good job!! As nosy as I am, I'm wondering what ever happened to Fang? Gotta live interesting twists throughout the storyline!! Now off to finish what I hope to be another great read, the conclusion to the story.
I received this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This was another good bad boy biker book that will get your engine revving for sure! They started dating dating as kids and fell in love but were pulled apart after his sister was taken by the cartel to be sold into slavery. When the sheriff, her father, forbids her to see him anymore he goes off with the MC to find his sister. The police are out of leads anyway. Sara follows in Daddy's footsteps and joins the force. After she makes Detective and is assigned her first case hunting for three missing cheerleaders, she runs into him again and feelings stir again. The rest is history! Madness and mayhem unfold!
Just wasn't really feeling this one, which sucks because I've been trying to find some really good MC Romance.
This one wasn't extremely horrible, just different from what I usually like. I personally didn't like the dirty talk in this one and I couldn't connect with the heroine. She seemed a little too immature for my liking.
Maybe it's just not the right time for me to read this one, I may try it again later on down the road.
sarah is a detective and hunter is a biker on the wrong side of the law. sarahs father was a sheriff and after a bust where things go wrong eight years later sarah is a detective and on her first assignment which leads her to hunter who is now president of a bikers club. this book was a brilliant read and can not wait for the next book in series definitely recommened everyone one click this book and read as I promise you will not be disappointed.
Hunter and Sarah are young sweethearts, torn apart and reunited years later. I did not like Sarah, and nothing about the plot, ever endeared her to me. Hunter seemed more dynamic, less selfish and for sure, not as hopelessly naïve as Sarah. But I think I wanted more romance, and instead, most of this book actually focused on the politics of being lawless and being in the MC life.
Brilliant. I loved this book. Can't wait to start the one that follows it. It had me on the edges of my seat at times. Nikki Wild sure knows how to keep you guessing. I would recommend this book it is a great read.
This story started off with a bang and the relationship between the H and h was written well, even though they weren't together. The author did a good job of expressing each character's feelings through a long distance relationship. When the H and h were reunited, I expected more of the same, but I felt the author focused more on the secondary plot instead and lost the relationship. There was lots of action and plot twists, but I wanted more romance.
It was an Okay read. Not bad for sure, but not really my style. But I really, really liked the characters and their play in the story. But, this book didn't sit well with me. So, this one was with young adults, laws... fast forward... laws, outlaws... good guys/bad guys... deceptions and happy ending. So not bad at all but the style or else (still don't know what) weren't for me.
