Timothy lives in a large city without any trees to speak of, and he longs for them, so he decides to create his own, if artistic forest, so that he can pretend he is there and it his own. He goes on a search to find things to make it out of, and asks his parents for various supplies as well. He uses his imagination, and creates one that he can visit anytime the concrete jungle becomes to much. My grandaughter was quite taken by that thought. : )
Timothy lived in a city where they had everything but a forest. He decided to make one, so he collected scraps, odds & ends, etc. and make a picture of one.
The story is really simple and not very exciting, but the end product could give some children an idea of what they could create themselves. For that reason it would be good.
The illustrations, in color and black and white, leave something to be desired. Illustrated by Rosalie Lehrman.
