ARE LINUX SYSTEMS SECURE?

Rate this book
The purpose of this E-book is to show the decision makers in the private and public sectors of the economy that there are indeed a way to substantially reduce the effects of computer network security attacks and breaches in computer based network security.

Additionally, this E-book can be used as a training manual for network security specialists to watch out for some of the methods of intruder attacks upon computer networks connected to the internet.

However, to do these two tasks successfully, the material of the subject matter that I have thoroughly investigated must be presented in a three volume set of reference works.

The first of these volumes takes a look at the lack of network security available for the LINUX open system based operating system.

The second of these volumes takes a look at the best example of a compromised proprietary operating system. Namely that of MicroSoft Windows Server edition.
The third and final volume takes a look at the best known example of a secure proprietary operating system. Namely the IBM MVS JCL/JVM based operating system and how such an operating system can be made to

both prevent and deter cyber-attacks upon computer networks that run this operating system.

This book is quite readable, clear and concise. It is also extremely technically accurate and is another wonderful example of Dr. Bitetto's excellent manner of making the complex understandable by the lay reader.
