If anyone is looking for a great beach read for this summer, I highly recommend this one. It's short, swoony and super sweet!

This is part of the falling trilogy, Falling for Sydney and Falling for Maria, yet all three can be read as stand alones. I've enjoyed all three of these books and would say if you want to read them in order start with Sydney, Maria and then June.

In June's book all three ladies are ready for their girl's trip before Sydney's wedding. So what better place to go for a girl's fling than to Maui? Lots of time for sitting on the beach, enjoying the sights, shopping for fun and meeting that handsome next bungalow over neighbor.

June's luck hasn't been the best so when she goes on this trip she isn't expecting this handsome stranger to be single, let alone interested in her. What follows is a very unforgettable week long vacation of surf, sun and swoon.

If you are not a fan of the instalove to engaged and married story, never fear, this one may be a short story and a fast love interest but I really think that readers who don't like the quickly wrapped up storylines might actually enjoy this one. That being said, yes they meet each other and yes they really like each other right away but I enjoyed how the ending wasn't finalized with their relationship yet. Ok that might make it sound like there's no closure but I really liked the ending and felt like it wrapped up nicely. In fact I'd love to see more of June and Lance and all these characters from these books further down the road. I can see some readers wanting more right away, possibly an epilogue but honestly for me, it's a short story that leaves a happy contented grin on my face after finishing, so I say it's a job well done in keeping my attention, great characters that I was cheering for and a sweet love story with the possibility of more.

I have to say that I really liked how both Lance and June have had heartaches and how there's no games played by either. They've learned to say what they mean and to pursue what they truly want.

There were several scenes that I chuckled over. So, not only a sweet love story but also some fun humor included! So grab your beach bag, sunscreen, flip flops, umbrella, sunglasses and Falling for June, a great beach read for sure!!!!

(4.5 Stars) Finding love on Maui? Yes, please! June's two best friends are either engaged or close to being engaged and June is lonely....but not for long. Lance, their bungalow neighbor, has an almost instant connection with June.

I love the characters. Lance is charming and sincere, while June is more reserved and lacks confidence. Together, they are able to complement each other in ways they never dreamed possible, as they discover from the first date. I love how open they are with each other.

Although this story is short and sweet, a lot of chemistry and relationship-building is packed into the pages. This is a perfect tropical escape when a reader is short on time. It's like having a little snack of deliciously rich chocolate--leaves you satisfied, but longing slightly for just a little more. I know this series is short, but I would have loved to have this one play out for a few more chapters. This series is worth picking up if you have a minute.

Content: mild romance (kissing, some light innuendo)

This is the third story in this three novella series. You do not have to read them in order but you will probably enjoy the characters more if you do.

I loved the Hawaiian setting. I wish I were there right now. It sets up the perfect scenario for romance. June doesn't have a very high self esteem thanks to a loser ex boyfriend, and she always feels less than what she perceives her friends to be. She is so surprised when she finds Lance directing his smiles and gaze toward her.

This is such a quick story- over before you know it but it was very romantic and sweet. I wish it could have been longer because it seriously took me about a half hour to read. I enjoyed it though and I think it's a great addition to this series. I've loved all three of these books. If you are looking for a quick, bite sized, romantic getaway, check out this series!

This is such a fun series of novellas! I love the friendship and loyalty between the three young women- June, Sydney, and Maria. Since they don't live close to each other, they take a girls getaway to Hawaii. I recently visited Hawaii for the first time so it was fun to visualize the setting and remember my own experiences there. Lance is also on vacation there and unattached, and June's friends encourage her to spend time with him, especially since he lives only an hour away from June's home. They quickly develop a sweet friendship and feelings of attraction, and commiserate on their respective past failed relationships. I liked how up front they are with each other and wished that there would have been more dialogue or banter to establish their bond. Of course, reality hits when they return to the mainland and they face obstacles to continuing their relationship. I liked seeing that they didn't just have a fling but were both feeling more. A great short story of clean contemporary romance!

June is the serious one in her group of best friends. She is not the type to go for a vacation fling, but her friends, Maria and Sydne, keep throwing her at their vacation rental neighbor, Lance. After getting to know him, June doesn't mind.
I loved the scenes in and around Maui, and experiencing the beauty of the island. I also loved the sassiness of June's friends, Maria and Sydney. My favorite part though was seeing what happened when June and Lance were faced with serious conflict. It gave their relationship the depth to survive in the real world.
A cute summer read. Perfect for a Hawaiian vacation (or when we all wish for a Hawaiian vacation)!

This is a short story.

Vacation romance...can it continue into real life? I really liked the romance in this story. I liked how playful and yet truthful the main characters were. The ending was not what I expected, but that was a good thing.

What a romantic trip to Hawaii!! June joins her best friends in Hawaii for a girl’s trip. Staying in the bungalow next door is handsome, muscular and single Lance. I loved the way June’s girlfriends pushed her toward Lance, as any good girlfriends would. ;) It made me smile.

As soon as I read that June liked regency novels, and was even reading a book by one of my favorite authors, I felt like I’d totally bonded with her. She is so humble and kind. She’s a person I was rooting for from the beginning. I wanted her to find true happiness.

Lance is a good, genuine person. I loved the way he treated June. There were so many sweet, romantic moments between them. He’s definitely a swoon worthy hero!

I loved reading their story! This is a novella, so it’s a quick read. I felt like I got to escape to Hawaii for an evening. I wasn’t quite ready to leave June and Lance when I finished though. I would have loved an epilogue!

I received a copy of the book, which I voluntarily reviewed. I have given my honest opinion.

I really enjoyed this one---the chemistry, the setting, they were all on point. My only complaint is that it ended right when it was getting good! I really hope the author is thinking about expanding these stories into novels. I loved the characters!

I've enjoyed all of the books in this series but this one seemed shorter than the others. As I've said before, a glimpse into the future of the main characters would be great. A *3 months later...* paragraph or chapter (wishful thinking).
I did think it was fun that the main character was reading a regency romance book by the author Sarah Eden, which (unless I'm mistaken) is a personal friend of the author of this story. :)
Short, sweet and clean.

Loved the whole series of stories about three girlfriends. They are all stand alone novels and I did like the other two more but it's fun to read all three forsure. I just prefer when the two main characters have a little bit more time between them before they fall in love, even so I HIGHLY recommend all three. Quick, clean, romantic, swoon worthy stories!

Falling for June is book 3 of 3 in a series of short novellas, each one featuring a different friend.

In this story, the 3 friends have teamed up for a vacation to Maui. With Sydney engaged, and Maria in a serious relationship, June feels left out. Her previous boyfriend had cheated on her, so she's skeptical of men. While on Maui, she meets recently divorced Lance and the two immediately hit it off. However, can she trust him? Can she trust herself?

What follows is a super fast developing romance, but I appreciated how the characters recognized the risks and took measures to pace themselves. I did think that the "conflict" was a bit contrived, but there had to be something I suppose. I also agree with other reviewers who ask for a followup epilogue of some sort. I'd love to see each of the friends 3 - 6 months later. Even if it's only posted on the author's FB page or website - a chapter for each friend wrapping up their stories.

Romance - PG - lots of kissing
Language - clean
My rating - 4 stars

I love these novellas by Heather B Moore. Short, well developed and oh so swoonworthy, they fill your heart and make you smile. This one has the girls off to Maui for a girls weekend. Just when you think it will only be drinks and fun for the ladies, Maria and Sidney push June to meet a man and have a fling. When Lance shows an interest, she takes the plunge. But will it be more than just an island fling? June is not an easy woman to get to know. She is hardworking and beautiful and just needs to learn to enjoy life. Lance is the perfect boyfriend. Good looking, ambitious but wanting to settle down. Will he make the effort to see her on the mainland? It's short and sweet, full of fun and laughter and doesn't wrap up like the others. I love how Moore gives each segment it's own style and identity. The perfect ending for this series.

I can't say enough good things about Xe Sands. She is so amazing. I find her voice warm and comforting, and really enjoy how she gets into the heads of the characters. It's like she knows them and makes us know them too. Amazing performance!

This book follows the story of Juna and Lance. June is spending her vacation with her friends near the beach. She's the only single girl in the group who's recently broke up with her ex-boyfriend. In their trip, they meet the kind and handsome man, Lance. It's safe to say that both Junr and Lance have an instant connection.

.

Thoughts and feelings:

🍁This is my least favourite book of this series so far. It lacks substance and depth imo. The characters needed a bit more personal development, and the plot needed a sense of fatality to cover its absurdities.

🍁While the writing style was fairly beautiful, just like the other two books I read by this author, it wasn't enough to keep me invested in the story. I'll give it to the author though, the book reads fast since it's short, which I don't mind.

🍁I don't really have much to say about this one, though if I dig deep, I'd have something more to say for sure. I just hope that the last instalment of the series is better than this one.

June's friends Maria and Sydney convince her to join them for a trip to Maui, where June can't help but notice their handsome neighbor, Lance. Maria and Sydney are totally in favor of June going out with Lance, but June's not sure it's a good idea. After all, she's been burned in the past--as has Lance, who is divorced--and a vacation fling isn't her thing. The more that she gets to know him, the more June can't help but wish she and Lance could make things work.

This is a great choice for those looking for a quick, clean, well-written romance. Although it's a novella (and you can't help but wish it was a little longer because you want to see more of June's story), it's satisfying and the characters are developed enough to make you care about them and want the best for them. The romance is sweet but intense, and this is a great escape read.

Near the end of this book June says, "Vacation romances don't transfer to the real world" and I think that's why this book worked for me when the previous books in the series (I'm not actually sure what order they were written in, but the books I read before this one...so, Maria and Sydney's books) didn't.

June, Maria, and Sydney take a girls trip to Hawaii and as June is the only one that's single, her friends decide she and the attractive and single resort neighbor should get together.

It's cute and sweet. They get together and have fun and time flies and oh, by the way, back in the real world, they live near each other? Yikes...

So, sure, things move a little fast (although to be honest, it was slower than the other two books), but she's on vacation. It's a fling (although she's not good at flings), so it felt a bit more realistic? Maybe? But of course, we're not in it for a fling...we want our HEA! And...you'll have to read to see if we get it (but really do you have to read the book . . . haha)

This is a super short romance—where the characters fall for each other immediately and less than a week later feel they’re in love. But for a beach read, it’s a hit. The story takes place in Maui and you have the whole island romance vibe going on—I mean, who doesn’t fall in love in Maui, right? But I can’t give it a 4 or 5 because it was more of a shallow story. I do like June and her love interest. They’re cute, but the shortness didn’t allow them to do much growing—not real character development. I wanted more of their story, and felt it ended too fast. The things I like about it are that it’s well written. The characters are still fun and likable. What I didn’t like was their interactions felt too contrived in order to fit the shortness of the book. This is a fun one though if you don’t want to think much, want to escape to an island paradise, and read a feel-good romance.

Falling for June

Toe-curling kisses

This is a short novella, a quick read. It is a sweet story. This is the third in the "Falling" series of books and it is one of my favourites. This story takes place in Maui during the three friends' girls' getaway holiday (2 of the characters have their own love story previous to the this book). While it can be read as a stand-alone, it is much better to read the other two books previous to this one to know the other characters better and to follow the chronological order. The romance is clean yet the kisses can make your toes curl; swoony and sigh-worthy! This book reminds me of the Aliso Creek series (which I loved) by the same author. I highly recommend this book for a quick summer beach read.

Falling for June, the newest release in Heather B. Moore’s Falling series, was quick and fun to read. June, sees herself as average when she compares herself to her two best friends Sydney and Maria. Average in appearance, lifestyle, career, and even with boyfriends. Having recently broken up with her boyfriend, June joins Sydney and Maria for a weekend get-a-way in Maui and finds herself attracted to an anything but average man. As June has the vacation of her life, she discovers that she is not as average as she thought and that makes all the difference. With unexpected plots twists, great characters, and a paradise setting, this was a fun story. I received a complimentary copy of Falling for June by Heather B. Moore for my candid review.

This book is ideal for a holiday read on a beach or for just a lazy day. It's a short, sweet and easy to read also you don't need to read the first two books to keep up. The story centres on June and her friends on their vacation to Maui and her friends persuade her to have a little holiday fun with sexy neighbour Lance. Will A holiday romance pitter out at the end of the holiday or will it become more. I loved the holiday setting and also June and her friends. Overall it's a will they won't they situation. It's a feel good book that I really enjoyed and kept me smiling the whole way through.

I really like these very quick reads that have a lot of swoon worthy chemistry oozing from the pages. June was excited for her girls trip in Maui and to lay on the beach with her good romance book. With some help from her friends she meets and gets to know Lance, their neighbor at the resort. She thought it may be a vacation fling until she learned how close they live in real life. Major sparks fly between June and Lance leaving you with hope for their happy ending. This is a short and sweet, clean read that you can finish super fast but leaves you satisfied.

Really a cute, fast-moving story. I enjoyed reading the previous stories about Sydney and Maria and enjoyed this story equally as much.

June is a no-nonsense, straight-laced accountant who's been hurt by her ex-boyfriend. Lance is a sweet, charming, swoon-worthy businessman who's been hurt by his ex-wife. The two meet in Maui and their romance blossoms.

It's a quick, fun read that will put a smile on the reader's face.

I loved this series! I especially liked this one and the chemistry between June and Lance. Usually I am satisfied with a Novella but this one left me wishing it were a little longer because I didn't want it to end. I guess that is a good thing though. I am hoping that the Author will do one more in the set to kind of wrap everything up and see endings to the stories but I really did love it! It made me wish I was back at the beach again and June is such a lovable character and a book nerd! Highly recommend all 3 in this series if you want a quick afternoon read!

This was a "good read." June goes on a vacation to Maui with her close friends from college, Sydney and Maria (see Falling for Sydney and Falling for Maria) where she meets Lance. Her dating lately consisted of “Office Mike” because she was still getting over Kevin, who had really hurt her when he broke up with her. But when Kevin calls after she returns to Portland, she has no problem blowing him off, realizing how much more Lance means to her. Lance has his own problems with his ex-wife. Can they make a relationship work?

This was okay. I enjoyed getting to see these two get to know each other while on vacation and make a true, honest connection with each other while trying to figure out if it was just while on vacation or if it could be more. We get to see them start things out and start building a pretty good foundation as they get to know each other and not move too fast. This felt like the start of their story since we just get a bit of it and we are left with a happy for now with leanings for happy forever. It was a short, entertaining listen.

June, Maria, and Sydney go to Maui for a girls’ week to celebrate Sydney’s upcoming marriage. On their first day there, the girls meet Lance, a hot guy staying in the bungalow next to theirs. Since Maria and Sydney are serious with their guys, June hangs out with Lance for a day and they find they live only an hour from each other and as they get to know each other, the sparks really ignite! A fun, easy read.

I was a little disappointed with this book. In spite of the several things June and I have in common, I still didn't really feel like I could relate to her. The relationship really didn't feel developed because of how fast it moved, and I felt like June was disconnected from Maria and Sydney instead of being tight friends with them.

Book 3 in series. June joins her two friends Sydney and Maria for a much needed vacation in Maui. Both her friends have recently become engaged or involved and June is feeling a bit sorry for herself. But she quickly finds herself in a whirlwind romance and is torn between living in the moment or protecting herself from heartbreak. She must decide if she is willing to take a chance on love. Short, sweet, and a fantasy I wanted to live.

I enjoyed this easy beach read. June is spending a week in Hawaii with her girl friends when she meets a handsome man. NOT a one night stand or vacation fling kind of girl, June isn't sure she should waster her vacation time with him.
All the books in this series are insta-love stories, but still cute. This one takes place within a week. A well written and cute summer read.

Beautiful Setting
I loved the location of "Falling for June"- Hawaii. This is a quick, fun, clean, romantic read. June and her long time friends plan a girlfriend vacation to Hawaii. June is unattached, and cautious when it comes to starting a relationship and this is her story. It is a stand alone novella, but her friends have their own stories as well.
