A grimy world surrounds Leila Ulric. Gangs roam the streets, her dead-end job has no end, and her apartment isn’t much larger than a walk-in closet. Her life looks to be turning around when a death leads her to a new apartment with a new roommate. The improvement in possessions, however, doesn’t lead to the satisfaction she hoped. A walk in the fresh night air leads her to stumble on a mystery that refuses to be solved, and a young man who holds truths she never realized existed.

I wanted to give Flynn another shot after seeing some good reviews for this serial. The blurb says 'The Luna Proxy series is an episodic serial where each book contains a conclusive story within an over-arching tale.' This story was not conclusive, even in the general sense. Yet again, the story gets started at the very end. I gave this read 3/5 because the story we were given was well written and intriguing. I do not trust Red as far as I can throw him.
Luna Proxy by Mac Flynn is NOT a book. It is the beginning chapters to a full story. If you want to finish that story you have to buy the next "book". "Author's" like this are pathetic and horrible. There are six books in this "series". Each one ranges from 40 to 71 pages in length. Excluding the first book, you have to pay 2.99 per book or 14.95 for all six.
Now I do not know about you, but when I buy a book I expect there to be a beginning (intro/ settings), a middle (problem/ action), and an ending (resolution/ conclusion). By the time you got to know the characters and their behaviors, the story was over. Why this author thinks that it is okay to try and milk money from people like this, I do not know. It pisses me off to no end that anyone would do this.
If this was a full book I would have enjoyed it a little more. I was ready to keep reading. There are a few grammar errors and spelling mistakes, but it was mostly things I could overlook. Still, because this was not a full book and you have to pay for the next "book", I only give this one star. I will not condone this terrible behavior.
Mac Flynn you are an absolute genius , you are my book writer hero . And I LOVE every single one of your books that I have read so far . Please keep writing thanks for hours of entertainment . Xoxo
Great story of a female who carries a gun in her back pocket who gets a bigger apt with roommate upstairs. Helps stop thugs from hurting a guy who moved into her old room who is a creature if the night. She finds out by saving him from thugs as he saves her one night
Good but short. The title trows me off since there wasn't any confirmations of a werewolf, wolf, or Luna. I deduced one character by attitude and coincidence yet it never really states if I'm correct. There is much left to be desired. It's a good start but not every creature can be a shadow, and once you try to describe it, give it a species name.
Things seem to be looking up for Leila...quirky roommate, new apartment. You just have to overlook the guy that moved into her old flat. And all the weird ramblings in town. If you can.
