The next installment in the exciting Rescue Bears series from Scarlett Grove!

Dashed hopes ...
Drew Bock is thrilled when he meets his fated mate at a wedding and the chemistry between them is immediate and overwhelming.

But when she runs away after their one amazing night together, cutting herself off from him, her friends, and everyone else, Drew’s beyond devastated. How could his own mate treat him like some terrifying beast?

Dazed hearts ...
Quinn Jacobs isn’t trying to hurt Drew, or anyone. She’s just a little freaked out and needs some time to get her head together.

She’s always known who she is -- a confident, curvy, sassy woman who loves her PR job. But her shifter-hating parents filled her head with countless lies while she was growing up. How can she be mated to someone she’s been taught her whole life to fear?

Dire straits
When Quinn finally comes back, nine months later, Drew isn’t at all sure he’s ready to forgive her. But she needs him ... and so does their soon-to-be-born child.

Their reconciliation turns perilous when Quinn goes into labor while they’re trapped in an isolated cabin. Can Drew, with a little help from the rest of the rescue crew, keep his new family safe and make sure they get their happy ending?

Did not like Quinn. 3 stars due to her.

Well I have read the other reviews and I cannot agree. I’m sorry but I find nothing redeemable about Quinn. I understand about her parents but really, she was a grown ass woman in a powerful career. She didn’t get there by being and idiot.

She asks Drew to mate her, runs away and hides for 9 months (even when she finds out she is pregnant) pretending to herself Drew used sex magic on her, totally confusing her so she has an excuse to hide. Then she only comes back when she is 9 months pregnant, destitute and worrying about losing her condo that she is not even living in. It is all about her and what she wants. Quinn is a whiny brat. She is given a cabin to live in free then says it is not 5 star, I can't stay here.

She came across as a money grubbing parasite to me. She was rude to everyone (Lily in the diner) and had a poor me attitude, everyone should feel sorry/be nice to her as she is pregnant. Then because she wants it to be so, Drew should forgive her and let her live with him. Because she has realised she was wrong and said sorry that is the end of it. Everyone should forgive her. She was not repentant enough to deserve Drew. He and his bear deserved better.

Drew has been in complete hell, he did not want to mark her, he tried to say they needed time to get to know each other but Quinn pushed and pushed him to mark and mate her. He goes from being on top of the world to the pits of hell in one night. For 9 months he has had to cope on his own knowing his mate left him because he is a shifter. Talk about giving someone a personality complex and heartbreak.

While I really, really wanted Drew to have his happy ever after and was so pleased he has his son, I really feel Quinn was let off by everyone way too easily. Even her best friend Juliet let her off lightly, even though Quinn was a bridesmaid and did a runner on the day of Juliet’s wedding. Drew deserved better.

I can only hope Quinn can redeem herself in future books.
It was lovely to meet up with the Rescue Bears and their mates again.

I received this book as an arc for an honest review.

SPOILER ALERT!!!!

I am giving this book 1 star because the h Quinn was a selfish, uninformed, silly Bi$$h. She signed up for the website to mock her supposed best friend ( who does that ) then when she actually got a match she's nervous and unsure. Not only does the heifer go off and have hot sex with him, she begs him to mark her even through his hesitation. Then in the morning she runs away like a punk, leaving her friend holding the bag for her. The thing that really got me though was her coming back NINE MONTHS later pregnant and just expecting forgiveness. Had the nerve to have kind of an attitude when Drew a) asked who's baby it was and b) he told her he'd take care of the baby but they were off limits. Ummmmmm, no shock to me so don't know why she was so surprised. He deserved better than her but hey I'm not the author so oh well. This book just made me mad, best part was Lily letting her have it a little at the diner.

I wanted to like this book but I had also been dreading it. I wanted Drew to find happiness and I guess if everyone else in the book can be happy for him I guess I can too. But honestly I disliked Quinn from the start and I think Drew deserved better. She's just selfish and it really put me off. I'd rate a 1 star but everyone else in the book is fantastic.

3 Stars.
Wow, really disappointed in this one. If you've read the series from the beginning, then you know that Drew is a great character. All he wants in his life is his mate and a future with her and a family. Everything else comes second. I liked Drew when I met him in Chief Bear, book one of the series. That first book features Levi and Juliet. I highly recommend you read that book to better understand the dynamic of Drew and Quinn.

So, you should know that the rescue bears are signed up on a shifter dating app. The app, which was created by rescue bear Corey, will find a shifter their fated mate; a 100% match. Well, Juliet's friend Quinn signs up as a joke and is 100% matched with Drew. Now as you know if you are a fan of shifter romance, fated or true mates are what shifters search their entire lives for. It shouldn't ever be viewed as a joke. That was the first mark against Quinn's character. Still, in book one, Drew and Quinn meet and spend an explosive night together. She takes off without a word leaving Drew devastated. That was the second reason I disliked her.

Quinn just disappears intentionally. No one can get in touch with her. Drew was emotionally destroyed, trying to go on with a life without his mate. My heart broke for him throughout each book. Quinn was no where to be found. As time went by, Drew grew more hurt and very angry.

Predictably, Quinn comes back to Fate Mountain nine months pregnant. And here is where I really decided I disliked Quinn, and her character could not be redeemed in my eyes. She ONLY came back because she was broke and realized she couldn't care for her baby alone.

So glad that Drew didn't fall all over her when she showed up at his house. There really isn't much of a story and the ending is predictable. By then, I still felt Drew deserved much better. To be honest, since Drew and Quinn's plot began in book one and wasn't resolved until book four, I expected more drama, and depth. It was too easy and I was disappointed in the resolution.

In addition, this book has so many editing issues. Truthfully, I gave the 3 stars only because I loved revisiting with all the characters from previous books.

By the time of this review, I have finished reading the series. The next book, Ski Bear, was my favorite. Zach was a great, personable character and his story was fun.

This is my honest and unbiased review and I thank you for taking the time to read it. :)

Very lacking

This was the first book I've read by this author and I'm not sure if I will try another. I couldn't get a feel for either character. She was a whiny teenage like woman and while the author may have attempted to make him into a grumpy person all she did was make him into a grown child. The storyline was lacking any depth. They have an amazing night together and she disappears u til right before she give birth. He has every resource to find her and doesn't, which doesn't sit right because if she is his mare, he wouldn't have let anything stop him. I understand he was hurt, but he could have fought to have her in his life. As quickly as they were together and then separated, they are together again, the baby is born and life is wonderful. It has a good concept, but I feel it failed to reach potential.

Another one that is fast-fashion in book form.

If you want a quick, easy read with a "Happily Ever After" then this is the book for you. I fancied a quick re-read last night that I could finish in an evening so this was perfect.

It isn't a great book in terms of plot and character development but that's not what this series is about, its about some romantic easy reading.

Quinn as a character is awful, she is very selfish, inconsiderate and loves to play the victim, I feel that she didn't have enough of a redeeming storyline to get me to like her.

Drew was way to forgiving of Quinn for everything that she did.

The plot was very quick and basic, not allowing for good character development so that they have there redeeming moment. This story had the outline for a really good plot but lazy and quick writing spoilt it.

This novella is about Quinn and Drew aka Brew Bear.

Quinn meets Drew in novella 1 of this series. She signed up for mate dot com and she is matched to Drew. She has a great connection. He marks her and she panics because of her feelings and plus she grew up in an antishifter house. Quinn runs away and hides for 9 months. Money is running thin and she needs to tell Drew a secret. Will Drew listen to her?

I was extremely excited to finally get Quinn and Drew's story. However, I was disappointed in it. Quinn is so selfish and does not deserve Drew at all. I get her feelings were off but still to hide from everyone and only come back because you ran out of money. Err! I am happy for Drew in the end because he is happy.

This is what I imagined Angus in the last book to look like, but they are introducing him as Drew Bock, our master of the famous Fate Mountain Lager. Too much lager, hormone, pheromones and a whole lot of stupidity is the start of this relationship and also the end of it. For nine months, Drew has waited for his mate to come back to him after their one night stand. Quinn Jacobs has ruined her life because of that one night stand. Why? Her own stupidity, of course! Quinn decides she needs to tell Drew about the baby and arrives only to go into labor. All through this book, all I could do was shake my head at the stupidity of a woman who had a brilliant career.

I'm so glad for A happy ending for Quinn and Drew.

Their story started in the other books. But I'm A sucker for happy ending. Quinn ran away and disappeared from everyone's life. Including her friend Juliet life. But Quinn had a secret that she couldn't keep to herself anymore. This is a story about forgiveness and rebuilding trust. Some get sex with a hot rescue bear isn't A bad thing either. I'm so happy to learn more about the Fate Mountain search and rescue bear team. On to the next book and the next rescue bears love story.

Drama, Desire & Dire Emergency

Great continuation to the Rescue Bears saga. Free "Brew Bear" found love but she bolted immediately. Quinn realized her mistake then she tried to correct it 9 months later. Hurt feelings and misunderstanding lead these two on an exciting rollercoaster ride. High drama, dramatic rescue and deep love all round. Can't wait for next book.

This was quite the emotional read, I quite enjoyed it though. I felt both pain and happiness, as well as full blown confusion when the plot called for it. These two stubborn people felt so much during their separation, the ending was a long time coming.

I really really am trying to finish it but Quinn really is such am unlikable person. It's hard to push through. She's whiney, SHEs flighty, she's a coward , I really just don't like her at all. I have to like my FMC to finish and it's just so hard to push through.

Being "left at the altar" is horrible, but being left after being claimed by your fated mate is totally devastating! Will Drew and Quinn survive it?

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
One-night-stand-turned-baby-daddy meets forced proximity and emotional baggage. Drew and Quinn’s rocky start makes their eventual bond feel even more rewarding. Quinn’s journey from fear and conditioning to trust and love is powerfully done, and Drew’s hurt gives his character depth. The cabin birth scene is intense, emotional, and memorable. It’s a bumpy ride, but the ending is incredibly satisfying.

WILL THE RESCUE BEAR NEED RESCUING?

Scarlett Groves rocked this book out of the ball park. I have to say that "Brew Bear" is my favorite so far. This story actually had my curiosity as to how it would play out when Drew and Quinn in the first book, "Chief Bear." Well Scarlett knows how to pull you into a story and keep you interested till the very end, and still has you hollering for more. I felt sadness, heartache, happiness, laughter, and love! Oh, trust me you are going to love this book.

Drew Bock is a grizzly shifter and he is a part of the Rescue Bears team. He is known as Brew Bear because of the brewery he owns and the lager he makes that is made specifically for BEARS and it will work faster on humans. He meets his fated mate at a wedding that is held at Fate Mountain Lodge. They are both overwhelmed and ecstatic at the chemistry between the two of them. Drew is devastated when she leaves him the next morning and doesn't leave a note, she quits her job and disappears. No one knows where she is, she has cut herself off from her family and friends. Drew can't understand how his fated mate could just do him and his bear that way!!!!

Quinn Jacobs had no intentions of hurting anyone. She was just as surprised by the electricity between her and Drew as he was. She was just trying to wrap her head around things. This was new to her and she couldn't figure out how she could be the mate to a shifter when she had been brought up to hate them and fear them by her shifter hating parents. Quinn finally decides to return to Fate Mountain after nine months and she is due in two to three weeks. She has decided she needs help and Drew deserves to know he has a cub on the way.

Drew doesn't know if he can forgive her not, or even if is ready. Drew knows that she needs him now more than ever and so does their soon-to-be-born cub. She Levi lets Drew put her in a cabin that is isolated in the wilderness. In their quest to reconcile it turns perilous when she goes into labor and the bridge has been washed out by a rising river. Will Drew be able to get help for his new family? Can Drew and the Rescue Bears keep his new family safe? Will there be a happy ending for Drew, Quinn and their cub?

I received this book as an ARC for an honest review.

In this book we finally find out what happened to Quinn and if she and Drew can make it work. After the Quinn left him, Drew is getting trying to move on with his life. The problem with this is no one in the crew will let him forget it. Drew knows that from this point on he has to accept that he will be alone until the day he and his bear die. However that all changes the day that Quinn sends him a message on the mate.com app. Drew doesn't know what this means and isn't sure how to respond all he knows is he really wants to protect his heart from that kind of pain again. Can he trust her or should he shut her out in order to protect his heart?

Quinn knows that running was not the answer but with her past she didn't know what to do with all the feelings she was having that next morning. Running seemed to be the best option for her. However 9 months later she isn't sure that she made the correct call. With no money and a baby just weeks from being born she knows she has to go back to fate mountain and at least tell Drew he will be a father even if he never forgives her. What happens though when everyone Drew knows tries to give their option to her before she sees him will she run again or will she fight for him this time?

This is a great book in this series. It can be read as a stand-alone but should be read after Chief Bear just to see where this relationship started out at. In this book we find that no matter what you should always listen to the other person you don't know what they might show you. In this book this couple learns that though they are fated they really should have learned more about one another before mating. It does have the same nail-biting will they get there in time that we have found in this series that will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone.

I really enjoyed finally getting to read Drew's story. We got the start of it in the first book, Levi's story, but at that point it is not a happy ending. Quinn has run from Drew and he has no idea why. I was happy to finally get to read their story. The story is a very quick read and did not take me long at all. Things happen a little quickly as well. Drew and Quinn have been apart for 9 months and she shows up pregnant. Drew has been in an angry depression for that amount of time. He doesn't immediately welcome her back with open arms, but she is pregnant with his son and needs help. Both struggle with keeping distance because of the emotions and mating instinct that they are feeling. Quinn wants to move past this and try again, she wants forgiveness but Drew doesn't know if he wants to open himself back up. His bear is in constant argument with him over this. For the amount of anger that Drew had, rightfully so for the most part, I had expected there to have been more of a conversation/explanation to work things out then there was. That made it a little bit harder to believe but not completely unbelievable. It was still a very good story. The sex is explicit when it happens, but as I'm sure you can guess by the story line, there isn't much in this one. The amount fits the story line for me and makes it believable for me. I have enjoyed reading this series and am looking forward to the next one. This is the fourth book in the series and can be read as a stand alone for the most part, but you will get more enjoyment if you have read the others because you get to know Drew and Drew and Quinn's story start in the first book.
