Step into a realm where fairies only help out when they are bored to tears or obliged to do so. Instead of Prince Charming, meet a bunch of sexy alpha males. Cinderella doesn't want anything to do with her King, and her biggest aspiration is suing the shit out of her step mother when she can afford to do so. Erik isn't all that fond of the mermaid with red hair, but he definitely fancy the sea witch. While the Beast is something of a recluse, he sees plenty of action in his casino-slash-sexclub... And Kai's more interested in the mysterious girl who seem to control his frozen wasteland than in Gerda.
This bundle includes a lot of your favourite characters, only everyone is all grown up, and definitely sassier. What's more? All of them are standalone novels - not short stories, no cliffhanger.
-------------- Cinderella
The King needs an heir and that means finding some sort of woman to do the job; “That’s all it’s about, ultimately: basic, carnal compatibility in order to satisfy this need. For that reason, the pictures I request of those who wish to apply are explicit. The full prerequisites are attached to the correspondence. If you aren’t comfortable with these demands, don’t bother applying.”
Ella applies, seeing straight through the bullshit; she goes as far as derisively add a set of pictures fitting the requirements the letter demands: A picture of her "pussy" - a fat, indolent Persian - and of her in her nightwear - yoga pants and a hoodie. In lieu of an introduction, her message reads:
« Dear Daniel Franko Phillipe Del Luz, I’ve applied to guarantee that I’m not summoned to your little orgy. Fuck you. We aren’t all stupid. Ella. »
It was supposed to go through an automated system; she didn't expect anyone to read it... Let alone the King
-------------- A little Siren
Silvia Undine, otherwise known as the Sea Witch, has enough of hiding. All she did three years ago was saving a child and his father, but she stands accused of causing the storm, and as a consequence, has been banished from her seas. Enough of that. Defying the ruler of the seas, she goes back where she belongs.
Everything would be peaceful, if it wasn't for the three Kings who fight over, against, and for her.
The King of Alenia has taken a wife and Erik of Denker knows it's his turn; after three years spent searching for the one woman whose ever mattered - the one who saved him and his son from drowning - he has to give up and choose an alternative. He does so, tying himself to the first suitable option, just when Silvia step in his kingdom.
-------------- Beauty and the Beast
“Let me tell you one thing, Beast: if your Prince ever returns, watch his back. There are thousands who would gladly throw daggers at it.” And Belle would be first in line.
Ten years ago, he was Prince Aiden, heir of Jereena, at the top of the world – now, they call him Beast. Aiden has landed on his feet, his exclusive club is the place to be, he makes hundreds of thousands a night. What else could he possibly want?
Belle grew up during the Anarchy, and the corrupted system screwed her, big time, but she managed to get by. Then, her stupid brother goes and steals from the Beast, who demands her as payment. Well, her, a pile of cash, or her sister – option two and three aren’t acceptable.
-------------- The Snow Queen
Kai, heir of the dilapidated clan who's established residence in the most dangerous mountain on Gaia to avoid persecution, has enough problem on his plate. For starters? Finding enough food. Lack of running water. Keeping the kids alive - and out of the slave trade. The torrential snow. But when he sees that innocent, defenseless girl who persists in staying in the cold wastelands all by herself, he can't close his eyes, she becomes his to care for.
She's the last full fledged goddess residing in Gaia and that mortal wishes to save her. Men are stupid.

I love to read twists on classic fairy tales, and was excited to start this series. While I did finish the 4 stories contained in this book, I did have to walk away more than once. The ideas are fabulous, but the writing is confusing. The author misuses words constantly, such as taunt instead of taut, shuttering for shuddering, even to for two. If I had paid for this book instead of finding it free, I would have been upset. Simple editing would have made this a 5 star read! I will likely read the rest of the series to tie up unanswered questions, but we'll see.
This is a good boxset; imaginative, sexy retellings of fairy tales and vividly brought to life.
HOWEVER.
Repeated homonyms, one-error-off misspellings, and in book one an entire paragraph of editors notes left in, have dropped this from a 4.5 to a 3* rating.
That said, I'd recommend the books despite the horrible inattention to detail, and the should be enjoyed by anyone who likes PNR, NA or a hint of kink.
While the retellings are imaginative and sucked me in, I was uncomfortable in a bad way more than once. The sex is unapologetic and graphic at times, and not between characters I wanted to read about. The typos were prolific as well. I will check out more of this author.
These are fabulous, sometimes gritty/discomfiting, retellings of classic fairy tales. A modern world with phones and technology, mixed with magic and semi-recognizable fictitious countries. It's well written, the characters are identifiable from their tales, but also made uniquely the author's. She does justice to the original fairy tales while making them something new and exciting; just enough nostalgia to appreciate you're reading a connection to your childhood with way hotter results.
Wonderful storyteller. Needs to be proof read & errors amended but otherwise a really good read. Would have a higher rating if there weren't so many errors. Recommend reading May Sage's work though as she has a gift for storytelling.
I loved all of the books! I bought each book individually. They are all great reads. The author put her own spin on each of the fairytales. It is not what you would expect. You have to read the books to find out!
These where all great stories, based on familiar stories from childhood. With a definite steamy twist. Despite the familiarity I actually learned a lot of things. The four of these books was very entertaining and the writing was very well done.
I don’t like to give spoilers on the books that I read. I believe the blurb on the back is enough for you to decide if you will read the book or not. If you choose to read, enjoy!
Great concept but definitely needs an editor. Lots of places where the context leading up to it was missing. The plot was meant to be cohesive between all stories but there was definitely a lot left to be desired. Two stars because of the potential
The stories are good but there were quite a few grammatical errors. The bad editing was really a distraction for me and the reason I gave the book only 3 stars.
This is a completely different take on who is who in fairytale stories;sort of like Disney's new version of Maleficent. The good guys are really good and what you believe we're evil awful things aren't really. The stories all follow the basic storyline of what you remember with no glossing over the FUN parts;actually if it wasn't for the fun parts I would have no trouble letting the kids(8 and up)read it, we have an original Grimms fairytales and it is much darker ,scarier and bloodier than these stories. They are exceptionally well thought out "what if this was really that" stories. I hope May keeps going and going with this series of stories. My computer is full of games but I stop them all while devouring these stories . I will be getting all of them and anxiously awaiting the next!!!
I was excited to read it. It was actually fairly well written. I didnt find it as humorous as I thought it would be so that was a little disappointing. These are fairy tales written with adults in mind obviously. They are a twist version which I've read those types before but not everyone can pull it off. I dunno what it was they didnt speak to me. Nothing necessarily wrong with the stories I did find sometimes they moved too slow. I'm more of an action reader and I like things to move along at a good clip or I start skipping ahead. This is a new author for me. I'm not saying I wont give her stuff a try again but not right now. Its a good box set and is available on KU. I encourage peeps to read it. Mine is just one opinion. Just didnt do it for me.
So, it was free, and looked vaguely interesting. I just finished reading it and it was better written then many of the comparable books, with fun and clever plots. A bit woe is me with the heroines, but that is kinda to be expected with the material. The ladies got over it quickly.
One side note, there are a couple of times where the spellchecker or autocorrect had the wrong words, so perhaps a little more editing, but nothing that was so jarring that it distracted from the fun story,
I have read so many fairy tale retelling that I am very skeptical of them now. Most do not take the original basic concept and tell it in a new way. This is different. Its the same concept but in a way you have never read it before. Its new, exciting, interesting, and I love how all the stories are connected in some way or another. The characters keep their basic personalities but with new twists and a little mythology. A must read.
An enjoyable collection of short fairy tales. I would've loved more depth to them but they weren't bad. I did like some of the characters and their stories. I am interested to read the Snow White retelling since that's where the ending hinted at. I think my favorite one was Beauty and the Beast.
If you think you would enjoy fairy tale characters with a decided interest in sex, then this book will probably suit you. Just be aware that the stories get pretty steamy, almost way too much. To balance, the stories are original and contain humor.
A great retelling of classic fairy tales with a new Adult twist. I didn't want to put these books down. I was engrossed in this fantasy world waiting to see if the characters got their Happily Ever After. I will most definitely be recommending these books to friends.
This book had 4 novellas. They were so good. I think my favorite was the first me. It was a great way to start this different series of books. I also liked this different world and how they are all connected.
I gave 5 stars for a very entertaining read. Characters are all loveable and story lines will keep you on your toes. I recommend these books for anyone who loves a good fairy tale.
4 very sexy tales of familiar fay characters. More interesting than the original stories and better for adult readers. The siren story was totally new to me as was the snow queen story.
This was a modern take of old fairy tales set in an alternate reality. I liked it. Well except one story. The rest were pretty good. My favorite was the beauty and the Beast one set in a gentleman's club. It had some pretty racy scenes in that one.
