He wakes up from a car accident with a dead man beside him and a duffle bag in the back seat with over one hundred thousand dollars in cash and a loaded gun. He has no memory of his past or how he got there. His only clues are a photo with the address of a shelter and a driver’s license with the name of Clark Kent. They lead him to Boston, but once there, he’s left with more questions and a sense of eminent danger. But nothing prepares him for the phenomena he finds within himself. His hearing’s more acute than any animal, his strength beyond anything human.

Katherine Spalding knows she’s one of the lucky ones. Born with money and looks, raised and educated among Boston’s elite, she has the respect and admiration of friends and the community. But her luck’s about to turn to chaos when a tall, gorgeous man with the most incredible gray eyes stumbles into her life. Katherine doesn’t know what to make of him. He claims he’s Clark Kent. But is he saint or sinner, hero or villain or … just plain crazy? Is she willing to find out, even at the risk of her life?

Duplicity is a fast-paced thriller that follows Clark as he tries to regain his memories and solve the mystery surrounding Morning Dove and it's owner, Katherine.

The novel is an easy read: it's polished, well rounded, and moves at the perfect pace for a thriller. Although not my typical genre, I found the story engaging, the characters interesting and developed, and enough twists to keep me interested. The romantic element seemed to fit well within the plot, and didn't seem gratuitous, which I appreciated.

I was a bit unsure of what was going on with the whole "Clark Kent" thing, but the author did a good job working this into the plot and providing a clever resolution.

All in all, this is a fantastic thriller, well written and engaging, and I highly recommend it for fans of the genre.

It all started....
He's in a accident, he doesn't know who he is and there is a man on the side of him
The man is dead with a bullet hole between his eyes. He also finds a duffel bag in the back of the car full of money. Is it his money? And to make matters worst he finds a gun did he use this gun to murder his passenger?

Katherine Spalding works for a youth homeless shelter. Katherine is looking for Brian a homeless missing teenager whom has been missing for weeks. On her way out her building she meets an handsome man who seems to know her, but she doesn't know him. We soon find out the unknown man is named Clark. Clark needs answers and he is around the homeless shelter asking and Katherine finds this weird and now she is having nightmares after being attacked is someone after the kids at the shelter or Katherine and does Clark have a role in these events or is he an innocent bystander.
This is such a good mystery thriller with some romance thrown into it can Katherine and Clark solve this mystery and find out whom Clark really is?

I'm telling you if you want to read a good mystery, thriller and romance go and purchase this story now.
I voluntarily received an arc copy of this story for my honest review.

Wow!!! I was not expecting this degree of engagement but am pleased to say it was great. The situation at the beginning puts the reader in the dark as to what is really going on. As the story unfolds, we are introduced to a number of individuals who have you guessing but never sure who to trust, much less what is going on. There are plenty of surprises and relationships that will lead you down some twisted roads and you will love every minute. If you are like me, your emotions will be all over the place, you won’t know who to trust and you will love every minute. I received a reader copy and couldn’t help but think of Rod Sterling...and that’s a very good thing.

This one is a five star read but I am taking off a star for typos and misuse of tenses...at times it feels like this is not the authors native language.

A wonderful book about clark kent and katherine.
Clark wakes up in a crashed car and a teenage boy is dead and he has a bag with a gun in it and $100000.
He has also has amnesia.

He meets katherine and they start a relationship and fall in love.
He has powers like clark kent, he has super human strength. He can move fast and his hearing is amazing. He body also heals it self.

I would definitely recommend this book.
I couldnt put it down.
I love the attraction and love between katherine and clark and how he protects her when she needs it.

Good quick read

Read this book after first reading Anxiety....I think I may have enjoyed it more if I had read duplicity first since I was waiting for these characters to end up back with, or at least contacting those in Anx. But, maybe that is for another story. All in all, whichever you start with... Give it a try, once I started i was hooked.

This was the sequel to Shrouded in Darkness, and kept the same pace as the first one. The story is centred around a man who survives a crash, but doesn't know anything about who he is or what happened. The only thing he finds is a driver's licence in the name of Clark Kent...but his amnesia is so complete that he doesn't even remember that Clark Kent is a comic book character...although he does have incredible strength, hearing, eyesight...
When he remembers who he is, he realises that he used to work for a company called Miltronics, which was devastated in a fire a short while before, who were leaders in genetic research. And it is this research which has caused John Davenport to develop superhuman powers.
The book read well, and kept my interest. There were a couple of gripes - some really bad proof-reading - champaign instead of champagne - and the other was that, even though it was supposed to be a sequel, once John had recovered his memory, there was no mention of the fact that he has a sister who believes he had died in a car crash...not even in the epilogue.

Will her Clark Kent save the shelter and solve the mystery of the missing teens?!

Format: Kindle Edition
I really liked the suspenseful plot and the two MCs in this romantic thriller. I especially liked Clark, a man with strangely superhuman abilities with amnesia and few clues to his recent past. Katherine, the daughter of a female Senator, has a good heart and gives too many people the benefit of the doubt. She also acts quite recklessly repeatedly, so having a Clark Kent in her life comes in handy.

While the murder mystery and intrigue was really good, I thought that the story had some steamy bedroom action thrown in, at some length, late in the story, and it interrupted the otherwise fast-paced suspense too much. I have nothing against some heat in romance, but it distracted rather than added to the story at that point. Other than that, I had no issues with the character or plot development and found this an enjoyable read start to finish.

I read a complimentary advance copy of the book and this is my voluntary and honest review.

H. D. Thomson, book Duplicity is by far one of the best paranormal romantic suspense novel that I have ever read. This non-stop thrill ride is a real page-turner. Ms. Thomson's story begins when her hero regains consciousness and finds himself in a wrecked car with a murdered teenager and discovers that he has lost all of his past and can't remember anything about the accident or the dead teen. When he discovers a few leads in the teen's pocket that sends him to Boston and to Katherine Spalding. Hopefully to find the answers to his missing memories as well as to why the teen was shot to death. As the story progresses our hero whose name appears to be Clark Kent realizes that he has some very remarkable attributes not usually found in most humans. This is one amazing story and the first book I have read by this author but it won't be the last one.

I received this advanced copy from Hidden Gems Romance and I am freely posting this fair and balanced review.

The action packed, steamy and suspenseful sequel to Anxiety, Duplicity did not disappoint. True, the fact little reference was made to characters from Anxiety proved mildly saddening. But the nonstop drama more than made up for it.

“I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book” it was a release of this book under the new title of Duplicity: Episodes 1 thru 6. For me this was only a ok book. It was slow moving and couldn't get my interest for long periods of time.
