Jess Buffett was born and raised in New South Wales, Australia. Jess is a mum of two, married to her high school sweetheart. She is a hopeless romantic who is a huge fan of M/M and M/F romance with a happy ending—anything with hunky men in all their glory, whether they be Shifters, Vampires, Cowboys, or the boy next door. A caffeine addict who shamefully can’t make a decent cup of coffee to save her life, Jess believes in soul mates, happily ever afters, and in love at first sight, but that sometimes people need a second or a third for the brain to catch up.
In Whyte’s Dream by Jess Buffet we see the battle that Sam and Whyte must win in order to mate. Again we see Ms. Buffett’s somewhat warped sense of humor in that these sexy men are the Tooth Fairy and the Sandman respectively. Honestly just for that chuckle factor alone I would read these books. Luckily, Ms. Buffett adds to that wicked sense of humor with well written and enjoyable stories. I loved Whyte when he helped his brother with his mate. I pulled for him as he struggled to understand why he could only be with Sam in his dreams. I empathized with him when he realized just how hard it would be to find nirvana while he slept only to wake up alone. But his headstrong mate was determined to protect him regardless of Whyte’s opinion. I loved how Ms. Buffett resolved the widening chasm that seemed to be opening between Sam and Whyte. I am again impressed by her simple solutions to problems that appear insurmountable. And she does it in such a way that it fits not only the circumstances but the characters as well. I thought this was a well written and enjoyable book and I am looking forward to how she resolves the issues surrounding the future of the Keepers. Four twinkling Stars
In this one we find out that it's not just the Keepers that are having problems, but the Dark Lords as well. This is Sam, the Sandman and Whyte, who is the tooth fairy's book. The only time that Sam trusts them being together is in the dreams he creates because he wants to protect the man he loves.
The Keepers and Dark Lords all meet up and we also meet the goddess of Hope and her half brother the God of jealousy. Elle as Sam calls her helps him figure out who is behind these problems.
The thing always annoys me is that chapter one and the epilogue from book before are always the same. This was a good book, the sex was hot for sure.
I love this series. Sam and Whyte are fabulous. Their relationship is being tested but once they come together it is explosive. A bit of suspence too. Here we get few answers and I cannot wait for the final book.
Weakest of the series so far, although they figure out who's behind their problems in this one. Terrible spelling and syntax -- and my biggest pet peeve, your used for you're. She REALLY needs a better proofreader!
