Years ago, Rolling Stone magazine dubbed the nine collective children of the most famous band in the world “Rock Royalty.” Now all grown up, the princes and princesses are coming back to L.A.’s Laurel Canyon to discover if love can be found among the ruins of a childhood steeped in sex, drugs, and rock ‘n’ roll.
Indie singer-songwriter Cami Colson met a mysterious stranger on a dark night and flung herself headlong into a blistering, secret affair with the sexy man. But then he broke things off without warning or reason, and she could only curse her trusting heart and hope that time would heal its wounds. Yet now Eamon is back in her life, as handsome and tempting as ever, and even more enigmatic.
Eamon Rooney, son of the president of a notorious motorcycle club, had every intention of staying away from Cami following their break-up. After all, he’d split from her to keep her free of the danger dogging him. Trouble touches her, however, prompting Eamon to pull her close again as he does everything in his power to keep her safe.
Passion between the two flares once more and even though they fight against the feeling, their wills are not more powerful than the ways of the heart. Can they learn they belong together…and will they survive the lesson?
Light My Fire (Rock Royalty Book 1) Love Her Madly (Rock Royalty Book 2) Break on Through (Rock Royalty Book 3) Touch Me (Rock Royalty Book 4) Wishful Sinful (Rock Royalty Book 5) Wild Child (Rock Royalty Book 6) Who Do You Love (Rock Royalty Book 7) Love Me Two Times (Rock Royalty Book 8), Coming soon!
Eamon knew loyalty to his family and club. He thought he couldn't keep someone close or love her. But little by little Camo got under his skin. He always tried to protect her because he didn't want her hurt. But he hurt her more than anyone could. But things always for work for the best.
If you've read the other books in this series, then you will enjoy Cami and Earon's story. I would've enjoyed more live scenes between the main characters, but what was there was HOT!
I received a complimentary book in exchange for an honest review.
I finished this book, and all I can say is “WOW!” It was so fantastic that I couldn’t wait to finish it while, on the other hand, I never wanted it to end.
This is the seventh book in the Rock Royalty 7 Series but. The book is about nine collective children of the members of a famous band called “Rock Royalty. These children were all raised by their fathers none of the mothers were in the picture anymore.
This is Cami Colson’s and Eamon Rooney’s story. I love these two characters. The chemistry is so strong that I could feel steam come out through the book while I was reading. However, even better, this steam is equally mixed with love from Cami and Eamon.
Cami is one the “princesses” of the Rock Royalty 7. Eamon is the son of the president of the motorcycle club called The Unruly Assassins MC. In spite of that, he is an attorney and has never been a member of the club. Cami meets Eamon when he comes to her brother’s motorcycle shop to fix a motorcycle. They have an instant attraction and have a short affair. However, Eamon breaks up with her in a humiliatingly public scene at a bar where she sings. Since all of this happens before the book begins, this is not a spoiler although we only hear about it in bits and pieces.
The couple meets again when Eamon thinks Cami is in danger from a competing motorcycle club who believes that she is his girlfriend. As a result of this, Cami and Eamon become involved again. I fell madly in love with Eamon and Cami, and couldn’t wait to see how they resolve this problem.
Also, Ms. Ridgway is an awesome writer. Her plot is so well-developed that even the tiniest incident that occurs plays an important role in the story later on.
Plus, her characters are realistic three-dimensional characters. Their actions and emotions can be gentle, kind and loving but they, can also, be angry, mad and hurt. Yet, she still manages to clue us into their mixed emotions about their feelings for each other.
I highly recommend this book. In spite of the fact that this is part of a series, at the beginning of each book, Ms. Ridgway explains the overall storyline which makes it easy to understand if you have not read the others. Because of that, this book can be understood and enjoyed as a stand-alone. However, the reader will better enjoy the books if they are all read in order.
I received an ARC from the author for an honest unbiased review.
This one really blew me away! Christie Ridgway really has a talent and I don’t think it is better displayed than in this book. The words just flow from page to page and you cannot put it down! The emotions, the actions, everything is just so eloquently written that you feel the pain and joy of each character.
Cami Colson is the daughter of one of the famed Velvet Lemons and was raised in a very unconventional way by a groupie who lived on group’s compound. The boys got to participate in all the debauchery but the girls were hidden away and kept apart. With no mother to speak of, Cami just wanted to love and be loved. But the only time she had risked her heart, it was stomped on and torn to shreds. So she turned to her music and guitar.
Eamon Rooney should have been a shoo-in for his father’s biker club, but he was banned from membership as part of his parents’ divorce. So he became a lawyer and went into practice with a wealthy friend from school. But he found he didn’t like that either and concentrated on the investigative side of the business. His upbringing was far from normal which made him avoid commitments of any kind, especially the romantic ones.
The two cross paths when he tracks down a part for his motorcycle at the auto junk yard where she works for her brother. Sparks fly, and they begin a clandestine affair, only to have him publicly dump here at the club where she sings.
Both characters are struggling with their inability to have ‘normal’ relationships with the opposite sex. She now wants nothing to do with him but his family background has created a dangerous situation for her. A rival gang pulls them both into something they can’t control. Thrown together to protect her, she doesn’t want his protection and he can’t stop caring.
Wonderful story of love, pain, and reconciliation. I couldn’t put it down and hoped it would go on longer.
Who Do You Love, by Christie Ridgway, Rock Royalty Book 7, introduces the reader to Cami Colton’s mysterious boyfriend. Cami is the sister of Ren and Payne and daughter of String Bean Colton. She is one of the two girls out of the nine children of the Velvet Lemmons, a band their fathers created. Cami manages one of the scrap yards that her brother Payne owns as well as being an indie singer-songwriter.
Eamon Rooney is the son of the president of a well known motorcycle club. He unexpectedly met Cami when he goes to the scrap yard in search of a part for his motorcycle. The attraction between them is off the chart as Cami and Eamon begin a scorching, secret affair.
Eamon then broke things off without warning or reason. Cami could only nurse her aching heart and hope that time would heal its wounds. Now Eamon has returned and is as handsome and tempting as ever. In fact Cami believes he has become more mysterious than before. Truthfully, Eamon broke off with Cami to keep her free from the danger following him. When trouble appeared in Cami’s life, Eamon reappears in her life, doing everything in his power to keep her safe.
Cami and Eamon both live lonely lives, cut off from the love and support of their families. Or they at least feel that way. Cami expresses this in her songs, but Eamon bottles it up inside. The passion between these two once again flares during the time Eamon is protecting Cami.
I loved the way Christie Ridgway took the reader along on Cami and Eamon’s journey to finding each other, a love and support and accepting the passion they share. She showed the growth in the relationship between these two characters as well as how their affection for each other continued to grow. I highly recommend this book to all readers and I cannot wait to read the next story in this series.
This is another great story by Ms. Ridgeway from her series Rock Royalty. Each of the stories in the series is so unique that you are able to read them separately but together they have a spirit that captures you and brings you into the lives of each person. They have become family. They are so well written that it is really easy to care for these kids. I found this story just as fun and engaging as the others. Cami and Eamon may come from different backgrounds but they are drawn to each other I feel because they really have a lot in common. Cami grew up with a rock star dad and Eamon’s dad is the leader of a motorcycle club. These two met before only to break up after having a secret affair. Let’s just say it seems as fate wants these two together and this time things happen to keep them together. Ms. Ridgeway has a way of giving us characters that are easy to relate too along with great story lines that are believable making stories that pull us in and make us care. Cami and Eamon were fun to get to know. They brought plenty of real issues to us and showed us that with true love we get our HEA. Cami and Eamon brought plenty of heat to the story which only added in keeping me interested. Finding a little more out about the compound is always a nice touch. I enjoyed the background story on Eamon also. He didn’t have an easy life but both ran from their past only to have it mold them into the people they were to become allowing them to face things so that they can find love. We don’t have to conform to our past we just have to learn from it and grow. If you haven’t read any of the other books in this series Cami and Eamon are a great way to start. But I will let you know that you just may have to read the other stories. You won’t be disappointed.
This is the 7th book in the Rock Royalty series, and as all the books preceding it, it did not disappoint. This is Cami and Eamon's story. I really loved it. From the moment they met, they were drawn to each other and had instant chemistry. They found that even though their backgrounds were different, they weren't raised much differently. Both felt like outsiders. Cami, being a girl, was kept away from the parties and depravity, that was her father and fellow band mates, stuck in her home with only her dad's stuffed animal trophies as company, which she named. Eamon, also felt like an outsider, as a promise to his mother, his father would not allow him to be a member of the MC Club his father was president of. I think this is what brought them together. I don't want to say too much, as to give the story away. All I can say is that I love how these children of Rock stars aka Rock Royalty, who were raised without a mother's influence, and had father's who were pretty much absent from their lives, are forming an extended family. They are finding they are capable of loving with the help of their soul mates. I cannot wait to learn Beck's story next. I highly recommend this series.
Another Rock Royalty has found their soul mate. Cami is a talented musician and one of the 9 Rock Royalty Prince and Princesses. She also works for her brother Payne at one of his parts junk yards.
One night a mysterious biker comes in looking for a part, well he didn't leave with just the part that night. They kept their relationship on the down low since Eamon is the song of a well known biker gang, which does do legal business, but was not always that way.
Eamon is the son of a well known biker gang, but is not a member of said gang, he is a lawyer. A fellow member that he is defending is debating about taking a plea deal against another rival biker gang or to not talk. Eamon feels it is best to dump Cami since he feels that will protect her, but it does not.
After her house is vandalized, her work vandalized, he feels she is threatened and she must move in with him so can protect her.
Eamon tries to keep his distance but he is so drawn to Cami, and Cami finally comes to the conclusion that he is the one. But Eamon sure makes it difficult, for both of them.
These two heat up the pages and both fight their feelings, although Cami comes to terms with hers way sooner than Eamon does.
Another great addition to the Rock Royalty series. This is book 7 and is Cami and Eamon's story. Cami is the daughter of a rock star and was raised in the compound with the rest of the kids. However, as a girl she always felt like an outsider because she was kept away from the parties & had only her fathers stuffed animal heads to keep her company. Eamon felt like an outsider because his mother insisted his father keep him away from his motorcycle club because of the violence and fear that someone would target him. The two were drawn together by some incredible chemistry.
I have loved every book in this series. They all show the different ways their upbringing has affected them. Every book is complete and could be read separately but you will fall in love with the family & read them all. From the first book, you could sense them all pulling together to form a family. What I love about Christie's writing is the way she draws you into the story by making all of her characters & the plots realistic. From the first you are drawn into the story & your emotions are involved. The plots have twists & turns, drama & comedy, all to keep you involved. Wonderful writing, wonderful characters, wonderful story!!
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest opinion.
Who Do You Love (Rock Royalty Book 7) by Christie Ridgway is a riveting addition to this series of the now grown children of the members of a famous rock group. This series shows no sign of losing momentum but stays non-repetitive, fresh and intriguing. Still, this book reminded me some of the first book, Light My Fire since both of these two characters also grew up in dysfunctional homes.
Like the others, Cami’s childhood has shaped her into a very complicated individual. Her mystery man, Eamon, has more than his share of childhood carry-ons too. The plot progresses quickly with a solid intriguing story-line of hot chemistry, misguided protection, and real danger. The fully developed characterization and lively dialogue is part of what I see as a strength in Ms. Ridgway’s novel.
If you haven’t read the previous six books, no problem. Though the siblings are involved in each other’s lives, each one has his/her own self-contained story. I feel that you could start with any book. As far as Who Do You Love goes, this would make a great read first, second or seventh.
4.5 Stars The author provided a copy for an honest review.
I loved Cami and Eamon's story! They are great characters and you get to know Cami in the previous Rock Royalty stories and so are rooting for her to finally have her happy ending, especially after what we see happen between Cami and Eamon in the last book. Both are hurting and you want them to figure it out so that they can be together. This was written really well and flows smoothly. Eamon is an alpha male for sure and has a dominant personality. It makes him protective of Cami and he wants to take care of her. He has reasons for why he has created distance and even though you can understand them, you want him to get over it. I thought that the story was believable. I never got pulled out of it and didn't want to put it down once I started. I read it in one sitting because I had to see how they worked out their happy ending. I loved the little updates that we got on the rest of the family members and am excited about the last getting his story finally. The sex is explicit and there is a lot of sexual tension throughout the story. The story fit the characters, nothing felt out of place or wrong for how things went down. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
In Who Do You Love book # 7 in The Rock Royalty series we are introduced to Cami Colton's mysterious Boyfriend. Cami is Ren and Payne's Sister Her Father is String Bean Colton. She is one of two Girls out f the velvet Lemmons the band their Father's created. Cami manages a scrap yard Her Brother Payne owns and she is an Indie Song Writer. Eamon Rooney is the Son of the President of a well known motor cycle club. They met when he went to the scrap yard looking for a part for his motor cycle. They began a hot secret affair. Than Eamon broke it off suddenly with no explanation. Now he has returned. Eamon broke it off to protect Cami to keep her free from the danger following him. Now trouble has appeared in Cami's life and Eamon is doing everything he can to keep her safe. They both live lonely life's Cami expresses her feelings in her songs . Eamon keeps his feelings bottled up inside himself. The passion once again heats up between them while Eamon is protecting her. I love this series the plots have twists, turns, drama and some comedy.
Another great book in this series by Christie Ridgway! Cami is part of the Rock Royalty, a name given to the children of members of a famous rock band. Whereas most of the others were affected by their exposure to the drugs and sex involved in their fathers' lifestyles, Cami was affected in an entirely different way. She was isolated in order to keep her away from the parties, etc. The impact of feeling alone is expressed through her music and the deepest desire to find someone to really love her. She had a relationship with Eamon, but he ended it, hurting her deeply. Now she is in danger and he is back to protect her. Eamon ended their relationship to protect her, but the danger found her anyway. Can he keep the distance between them that he feels is necessary or will the draw of Cami be too much to overcome? As always with a book by Christie Ridgway, the sex scenes were heat invoking and the emotions gratifying!
Cambell(Cami) Colson is the only daughter of Velvet Lemon's String Bean Colson, and she is a talented singer/songwriter living out her talent in her own way. Aemon Rooney is the only son of the notorious MC Unrulies President, whose unable to patch into the club because a promise his dad made to his mother. Both Cami and Aemon have had unique childhoods that have made personal relationships a struggle to commit to or even believe in. Ridgway brings these two beautifully flawed characters to life and together using laughter, anger, pain, pride and of course some seriously hot chemistry. I just didn't want to put this book down! Rock Royalty is a great series and each book I want to claim as my favorite of the series. If you've read the first six, you'll continue to be turned on to Rock Royalty and even if you are new to the series, get ready for a great read!
When something seems too good to be true, usually it is. I received a copy of Who Do You Love in exchange for an honest review. Christie Ridgway is back with Rock Royalty #7, Cami's story. Cami is a contradiction. She tries to be tough but on the inside she has deep emotions that she expresses through her music. The saying still waters run deep apply to Cami and Eamon. Eamon is a bad boy. He has secrets that could prove hazardous to anyone who gets close. His strong sense of right and wrong puts his loyalties, as well as his moral code to the test at every turn. Who Do You Love ponders matters of the heart, ethics and dangerous liasons that will leave the mind spinning. When trust, love and darkness collide what happens next is part of the thrill. Christie Ridgway went for more mystery with Cami and Eamon's story. She kept me enthralled all the way through.
I think this may be one of my favorites in this series by Christie Ridgway. Who Do You Love was #7 in the lineup and centered around Cami (the 2nd girl in the Rock Royalty) and Eamon, her mysterious man. The chemistry was off the charts even though you never really "see" their previous "relationship", just snipets of remembered scenes. I'm not big into the MC stories, but Ridgway presents it in a way that shows a loyal family of people who happen to be bikers. Cami and Eamon both fight the relationship all the way, but of course, end up seeing the light thanks to Stubborness and Persistence. Can't wait for Beck's story.
Two lonely people find love and companionship in this touching story from Christie Ridgway. As a child, Cami Colson was kept apart from her brothers, the other Rock Royalty and the hedonistic parties thrown at the Velvet Lemons compound. Now, she spends her days and nights working at her brother's salvage yard and singing at local bars. Over the past few months, she has watched her Rock Royalty "siblings" pair off and find love. Being surrounded by all this intimacy has amplified Cami's feelings of isolation. Then one night, a sexy stranger shows up; Cami throws caution to the wind and starts an affair. Eamon Rooney never wanted a long-term relationship. He watched his parent's marriage fall apart and he doesn't want that to happen to him. When his job and family obligations put Cami's life in jeopardy, he has no choice but to step up and protect her.
Who do you love is Cami and Eamon's story. I have to start out with I loved him! He has some issues because his dad runs a motorcycle gang and his mother took him away and he's not one of them, but he's always helping them. He's just a typical good guy wanna be bad guy! Cami is one of the Rock Royalty and she tends to serenade Eamon to express her love. He's trying to protect her from a rival motorcycle gang and he does everything he can to stay away from her which includes breaking her heart. I liked their story, I liked him and though when he gives her a kitten, she sees it as a bad thing, I saw it as a man who truly wanted to make her happy even if he couldn't be there. This was a quick read with all of the Rock Royalty finding their way into Cami's life and also brings home the ever wandering Beck, can't wait for his story.
I received a free copy of this book for an honest review. This is the 7th book in the Rock Royalty series and I have enjoyed them all. This is Cami's story. Her relationship with some guy who broke her heart was alluded to in the previous book. In this book we meet Eamon and learn why he so publicly rejected her in the last book in the belief that he was protecting her. But they are thrown together again in his efforts to keep protecting her. Beck also finally returns but has amnesia. Since his book is next, we'll find out what happened to him. The only negative thing I have to say about these books are the covers. The portraits don't match the descriptions in the text and as this was Cami's story, it is her portrait that should have been on the cover, not Eamon's.
Gosh where does Ms. Ridgway get her totally different story line for each Rock Royalty book. Each has been so uniquely new and captivating and each character full of personality that I am in awe of such talent!! Camille is such a strong yet heartbreaking character because of her isolation from the other children of The Velvet Lemons that you can feel her longing in the words of her music. The angst that drives Eamon to want to belong and his innate goodness shine through his actions that Ms. Ridgway so eloquently pens. The sass, sarcasm and danger that engulfs Camille and Eamom makes you smile and gasp and hesitate to set the book down unfinished!! Absolutely love this rocking series!!
I really loved this book. I’ve always loved Cami’s character and I was so looking forward to her story. Christie never disappoints but this one was exceptional. Eamon is such a perfect match for her and the story was just as compelling as all the others have been. The hints about him in previous books have been rather mysterious. Both Cami and Eamon are damaged because of their family situations but they manage to overcome those pasts and find their happily ever after. It was so much fun to take that journey with them. I can’t wait for Beck’s story next.
I received a free copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for my honest, unbiased review.
This book can be read as a stand-alone, though is the seventh in a series. When Cami Colson, a singer-songwriter, and Eamon Rooney, son of the president of a motorcycle club, met there was instant attraction. Eamon suddenly broke off their relationship and Cami didn't know why. Eamon wanted to keep Cami safe from the danger surrounding him... but he wants to make sure she is safe too. I really enjoyed reading about their interactions and following their path to love. This was a very well-written, enjoyable book and I can't wait to read the next in the series. I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I have been waiting for Cami's story. Cami is a rock princess and a singer/songwriter. She also works at her brother's salvage yard. That is how she met Eamon. He came to get some parts after hours and the connection was instant. The problem is that Eamon thinks he can't have a lasting relationship. As one of the rock royalty, Cami has seen the parties her father threw while she was growing up, but wasn't allowed anywhere near them. She has always observed from the outside. Eamon's dad is the president of a motorcycle club and he isn't allowed to join in. He too has always observed from the outside. Can they find a way to make their own family and feel part of something?
Another great addition to the Rock Royalty, Cami has made many appearances in the earlier books, always hinting at a mysterious love gone wrong with her heart wrenching lyrics to her women empowered songs. As the story is told more of her childhood unfolds, her lonesomeness among the tribe of Lemmon kids, how different the girls were treated compared to the boys. Eamon has many evils that he has to overcome, especially his commitment issues. Even with the walls erected, Eamon's passionate love for Cami keeps him pulling her back, even if it puts her endanger. Can't wait to read the next installment!
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
It's time for Cami Colson, one of the famed "Rock Royalty", to link her heart and soul with a man who has returned into her life. Eamon Rooney is the son of the president of a notorious motorcycle club and he had every intention of staying away from Cami after he broke up with her. Now trouble from the MC is touching her and Eamon will do anything to keep Cami safe, even keep her by his side night and day. The sex is sizzling and the suspense runs high and once again, family ties and relationships are a large part of the story.
This is the 7th book in the Rock Royalty series - romance stories about the children of the fictional rock band the Velvet Lemons. This story gives the spotlight over to Cami Colson whose relationship with Eamon Rooney had been hinted at in prior books. The plot wavers between this couple together or breaking up while dealing with personal threats to safety. Although they feel a bit like star crossed lovers, these two actually have more in common then they think. Thanks to CR's California Girls for the copy of this book.
A departure from the other Rock Royalty characters - Cami wasn't immersed in the debauchery of growing up in the Velvet Lemons compound. This left it's own set of scars though. Scars that are easily recognized by a fellow "oustider" Eamon. They were quite explosive together and it was great seeing them handle the ups and downs of getting their HEA.
While not a fan of the hints of BDSM in this series, I found it not too overdone or explicit.
I received and ARC courtesy of Christie's California Girls.
Who Do You Love, a Rock Royalty book, is the best one yet! Cami is the singer, songwriter daughter of a famous rock star. Eamon father is the President of a motorcycle club. Both feel they have been living on the outside fringes of their parents lives. One night they met and the chemistry is so hot they fall in love, yet within a month Eamon leaves Cami, he thinks he is protecting her, she knows he broke her heart. The heartbreak is real, the characters are strong and the songs are hauntingly beautiful. Ms. Ridgway is a favorite Author of mine and I highly recommend this book!
